Thanks for the earnest report! I bought mine used for a song, however, it didn’t come with the mounting ring for the chesty strap, nor the wrist strap or the hard case. I found one mounting ring cheaply on eBay plus a carrying case for the camera and the grips! I’ll be using it with my Hero 4 black, albeit, the resistance to the elements is compromised!
Finally, a positive review of the karma grip! Thank you! Will be getting one soon. Idk if you made a video about it yet, but I would love a video on which setting can give you a more cinematic footage on the hero 5. Thanks!

Thanks. I have the GoPro Karma Drone, and the Grip came with it. I recently dusted it off, even though I haven't flown the drone in a while. But, I figured I could use the Grip with my GoPro 6 Black in the meantime. Especially now with the coronavirus quarantine, I might step out for a few and film the empty streets for later use as stock footage. Stay safe.

Hi, great quality i see but a bit expensive... soe the case is included? that's good. About the battery, you can change the battery of the camera itself if the Karma is battery is empty? And how long does the Karma battery work? I assume much longer than the camera battery? Also, is the Karma also water resistant? Thanks.
Unfortunately when purchasing the karma no longer includes a case… For some reason GoPro change that a few months in to release. The karma is not water resistant.

I've had one for a few months and I agree with the review. As stated the only downside is the screen blockage. If I needed to view the screen for critical shots I held the gimbal upside down - also not ideal - but useable.
+rs parker I am going to try and rig something where I can mount my phone on it if I really need a good view of what I'm filming. Wouldn't need it for every day use but if I am filming something very specific it might be handy
+rs parker and yeah it confused me at first as well. What it is for is when you attach the grip to an extension pole you can wrap the Velcro around the base to keep it steady. I forgot to include that in my video. The only reason I figured that out is because GoPro released their new El grande extension pole and in one of the promo shots they have the karma grip attached to it and the Velcro holding it firm.

Hi so I got my Karma Grip been testing it on my way to work about 20 or minute drive one way since school is out, I notice that Karma Grip I may get about good two hours from it before having to charge it for another 4 to 6 hours. Any tips and how do you disable it from charging your gopro cause that may help save some battery.

Thanks for great review, Is the audio in the forest is from the hero 5? I am asking that because I know that the audio from the hero 5 is muffled when using the Karma grip but in the forest it's sound OK.
+Shlomi l yes the audio was from my hero session. I find it is a little muffled sometimes. I really wish they would release an update that allowed a microphone to be plugged into the end of the grip via the USBC that would be really nice

+Chuck Ostrom yes I am for sure. I know it is taking a lot of flak but it's still a good drone you can get some spectacular footage and it's affordable compared to other drones. To me it's a fair price for what you all get inside

Yes you will need the hero 4 harness. Calibration is not necessary and should only be done if there is a problem

Why do you recommend leaving the mounting ring off? Is there any added benefit to doing that / is it bad to leave it on?
+thisninjanerd really it doesn't matter either way. It doesn't affect it if it's on.
Question: so the karma is not meant to record yourself while you hold it if you wanted too?

The GoPro website currently shows this as being on sale at $99 but when I add it to my cart and go to checkout it jumps back to full price....
When press power button on gimble, gopro will turn on automatically, but when turn off gimble , gopro doesn’t turn off automatically?

I would’ve been filming at 2.7 K 60 frames per second and asked for settings everything would’ve been on auto… No protune
