Hey guys, sorry I got anyone's hopes up with these uploads. But I thought it'd be a fun idea to reupload some of my reviews in a series format. So if you wanna watch a whole series review in one go, now ya can. Again, sorry if you thought these were new reviews. New ones are coming!
Quite honestly, my favorite line from the first movie is right after Goblin says he had been like a father to Peter. Spider-Man responds: "I had a father. His name was Ben Parker." That's genuinely a beautiful line.
I’ve always found it a bit odd, like Peter says it as though Norman shot Uncle Ben, great line but it seems like something Peter would have said to Flint in SM3 instead
@@Devo57 I never thought of it that way before, but I see your point. I always took it to mean that Peter was saying that it wasn't Norman who was his real father figure, it was his Uncle Ben who really did treat Peter like his actual son. Again, not Norman.
Say what you want about the 3rd movie, but I still enjoy Spider-Man 3 as much as the first two movies. Granted, they threw in too many storylines and conflicts for a 2.5 hour movie, but it still has a lot of redeeming aspects (the action sequences, Sandman's character, Peter being so consumed by the suit that he beats up his friend and hits Mary Jane, New Goblin and Spider-Man teaming up, the themes involving internal darkness, revenge, and forgiveness) that I can overlook its missteps.
I also like Spider-Man 3 too. I LOVE the black suit soundtrack! It planted the seed for becoming my favorite suit ever. I think of it as a guilty pleasure kind of movie.
themes do not translate to good storytelling the film still has a very inconsistent tone venom was Handeld absolutely poorly the retconning of who uncle Ben's killer was was stupid and kind of takes away from Peter's lesson about responsibility since it pretty means that uncle Ben's death wasn't actually his fault because the burgeler he let get away for the sake of getting petty revenge didn't actually kill him and instead it was one of spider-mans shittiest villains the harry amnesia subplot was stupid the love triangle was so forced and made the film as the suspect said fill like a sope apra the twist scene with harry and mj was stupid
1:06:49 the reason why Peter never tells Harry the truth is because in the first film Norman’s dying words to Peter were “Don’t tell Harry” meaning don’t tell Harry about the Goblin incident (I think anyway)
To be honest, I still love the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy to this day. What I like about the movies is that Sam Raimi himself had a lot passion for the iconic Marvel character and did his best to make the movies as enjoyable as possible, while at the same time puting his own spin on Spider-Man's character and his story on the big screen. Not to mention that these movies used a lot of practical effects as well, which makes the movies stand out more, then compared to the future Spider-Man films. My problem with the future live action reboots of the characters are as follows: Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man does a very good job of acting Spider-Man's role, but when it comes to Peter Parker, it doesn't feel believable in the slightest, because the actor is just too good looking to be Peter Parker. Tom Holland's Spider-Man, while being the best casting choice for both Peter Parker and Spider-Man, the problem is how the MCU potrays the iconic character. Instead of Spider-Man being a solo superhero, like he always was, instead he becomes a Iron-Man/Tony Stark fanatic and most of the gadgets and suits he gets are made by Stark, instead of Peter making the suit himself. Some would argue that he is 15 years old, but people forget that Peter is also inteligent and can make his own suit without problem. I mean for fuck's sake in Civil War Tom Holland's Peter Parker even said to Tony that he made the web shooters by himself, so I don't see how he can't make his own suit becsuse of his extremly high IQ.
You're incorrect, Garfield's Peter isn't bad, he's just not what people expect Peter to be like traditionally. Yeah, he's not a nerd or whatever, but they sorta updated him not to make him into a dweeb, but just a social outcast. He's a bitter guy with a chip on his shoulder and who keeps to himself. It's not that everyone hates and bullies him. It's that he's the sort of person nobody would pay attention to. And yes, handsome guys can have that problem too. He becomes unappealing socially because he lets himself be eaten up at how his parents just abandoned him. He's good looking and, uh, rides a skateboard, I guess, but he's not a cool guy. The important bit is that Peter's good heart being clouded by a lack of understanding of his responsibilities and their importance, and his bitter and selfish desires are completely in keeping with Peter Parker. His struggling with wanting the girl, but also wanting to do the right thing is present and accounted for. His guilt over being partially responsible for the death of the only real father figure he had is also there. His learning what it means to sacrifice your dreams for the sake of something greater than yourself is something he has to learn over the span of both films. Andrew *is* a very good Peter Parker. It's just not the standard idea of what Peter is. It's a more modern, grounded reinvention.

God, Spider-Man 3 is 10 years old today. Despite it's flaws, I'll never forget my first time watching this a decade ago. it's such a memorable experience. I adored it when I was younger, me and my Dad loved it after our first viewing. I hated it for a good 3-4 years, and after re-watching it on it's tenth anniversary, I think it's okay. Not the best, but far from the worst. It had a heart warming end to a series of films that defined an entire genre, what more honestly could be said.
I was 4, and I was super excited to see it. I remember this one time when me and my friend watched it a while after it came out when we were younger, and we would act out some of the scenes. We used to be die-hard fans of the original Raimi trilogy. I still love them.

19:24 makes me laugh Norman Osborn: Is somebody there? Green Goblin: Somebody Norman Osborn: Where are you? Green Goblin: Follow the cold shiver running down your spine Unusual Suspect: So you’re my ass?
I honestly never had much of a problem with damsel Mary Jane. In fact, I actually think Kirsten Dunst had more of a range than Emma Stone, who I’ve only ever seen play herself in every role.
I was 7 when it came out lol, i was a dark kid... my grandpa died before the movie came out and it made me twisted and thinking that scene was funny, i dont think that now... i dont think its scary either i find it weird and cheesy and funny for the wrong reasons, i don’t mean to laugh at it though.
1:06:42 because norman made a dying wish telling peter to not tell harry, sorta like gwen's father did to peter. As far as I know, harry didn't know norman was the goblin until the end of spiderman 2, so I guess this is a more relevant question for the 3rd movie.
Gosh dangit! Now I have to watch all of these to get them out of my recommended list. That's 8 hours! It's fine though. I didn't have a social life anyways
1:20:50 1- flint is out of their range 2-scanning for if the mass is changing is different than scanning for how much it changes 3-because its glass and metal

I almost liked Homecoming better, but the only reason I think the Raimi films are better are because of the serious nostalgic value to me. Homecoming was still a fun and awesome film.
1:29:47 When I was young I thought that would be easy for Peter Because I was young and thought that cookie jar actually meant a cookie jar but instead it meant a bank
Can we all appreciate how nice Sam Raimi is? Like ,he let his close friend Bruce Campbell be the first man in modern day movie media to say " THE AMAZING.....SPIDER-MAN!"
Oh man Spiderman 2002- went to go see it and my Nan was adamant that we couldn't get in...so she went and asked for THE TIME MACHINE- 7 year old me was starting to cry. Ticket lady said "Oh no he can see it! As long as he is with an adult!" The 12A certification wasn't implemented apparently until 2002 The Bourne Identity- but they at the cinema - ODEON BRIGHTON- must have been privvy to a/the change. I will never forget that moment of my life. I got into a 12. I saw The Spider-Man on the big screen, and somehow benefitted from an as yet unannounced new certificate implementation. And sure enough I took advantage of that new power and saw it again. With no hitch. I'm feeling guilty that I saw it aged 7 and you were 11 and had to wait till the VHS release.
I really do love the original spider man movies. And do not get me wrong the third movie was okay but I can and will agree with everyone that says that it wasn’t the best out of the original films. Because for all of you guys that may not have known Sam Raimi the director himself said that he wasn’t a hundred percent happy with the final result of the film and wasn’t too happy with the way it came out. Due to a lot of changes in the script and other reasons too but I really do not remember what they where. But one of the things that I do remember is way back in 2007 when spider man three came out in theaters. I was 12 years old and I was still in elementary school and I was really excited. I also had a few good friends in my class and they where excited for it as well and we talked a lot about it too. But I remember that once I left the theaters I was like man what an awesome film that was! But now seeing as young adult at age 28 I kind of now think the opposite of what I thought about it when I was a kid. But please understand that I’m not saying that spider man three was really awful I just thought that it wasn’t as good as I thought that it was going to be like the other two films. Now I do remember seeing the second spider man film in the theaters as well. I was with my mom, dad and two older brothers. And to that I must say that I was really impressed. All of the fight scenes where really amazing and everything else about it was beyond great. And so was the first spider man movie as well . Great fight scenes and bunch of the same cast was in it. So yeah I must say that spider man three wasn’t that good but it surely wasn’t that bad ether I just wished it could have been better but hey what are you going to do? So yeah and now with that bing said and in my opinion. I still think that out of all three spider man movies. I still find the very first one to be the best out of the three original spider man films. And woah! He just stole that guys pizzas! LMFAO
To be honest, I love these movies. The only two things I have it in my heart to dislike about these films are: 1) The romantic elements/dialogue, and 2) emo Peter. Otherwise, I love these films. The tone is just right for a Spider Man series, which I honestly thought was a weaker part of The Amazing Spider Man film.
I fucking love your reviews dude. You are SO funny and I know that sounds sarcastic over text maybe but I mean it!! I wish we were friends honestly 11/10 would have a beer with you (an actual Colt 45 maybe lol)
Seriously, one of the best parts of all of these movies is Jay Jonah Jameson. They got the perfect actor to play him! Also, I always found his son's name kind of hilarious. Jay Jonah Jameson Jr. :P Well, at least it's easy to remember...even though he's barely in the movie at all.
In Spider-Man 3 in Harry's apartment when they get done tossing around the ball on the wall it says "Anal Street," I am disappointed that I couldn't find anywhere where you would mention it. In the movie the time stamp should be 41:13.
first time i watched Spiderman 3 back in 2007 i really enjoy it alot, when i heard they were putting Venom in Spiderman 3, i was looking forward to seeing him because at the time i was watching Spiderman the Animated Series and the episodes i saw had Venom in it and i thought he looked cool, so i was excited to see him in Spiderman 3, that was when i was a kid, nowadays as a young man i do see the problems people have with the 3rd movie, but its not the worst because to me worst would mean these nothing good in it, which there is alot of stuff to enjoy in spiderman 3, the fights, the music, the CGI on Sandman when hes rising, these alot to like in this movie, it's the same thing i have with the Amazing Spiderman movies, there are not worst, they have alot, i mean alot of good stuff in those movies too
Yes, but the surface tension would smash them to pieces, and even if that didn't happen, then the weight of the train car pull them down, and they'd drown.
Wait a minute, didn't the goblin beat hell out Spiderman? How does Peter's face not have any injuries during Norman's funeral ? Doesn't make any spider sense
Whats this? A *2 hour long review/analysis of the original Spiderman trilogy??!*
Hellllll yeah Im in.

I almost liked Homecoming better, but the only reason I think the Raimi films are better are because of the serious nostalgic value to me. Homecoming was still a fun and awesome film.
@@Devo57 Homecoming was awful. Utterly soulless.
GroovyGreaser Far From Home is where it’s at
@@Devo57 Better than Homecoming but still nothing compared to the original trilogy and...most other Spider-Man cartoons, etc.
i would say this is your best review!! so funny
JK Simmons is JJonah Jameson to this day! You kinda called it!
Dude, you deserve way more subs than Channel Awesome
28:15 to 28:18 fant4stic is now the new abomination
1:29:47 When I was young I thought that would be easy for Peter
Because I was young and thought that cookie jar actually meant a cookie jar but instead it meant a bank
Can we all appreciate how nice Sam Raimi is? Like ,he let his close friend Bruce Campbell be the first man in modern day movie media to say " THE AMAZING.....SPIDER-MAN!"
Time to go on a binge.
Oh man Spiderman 2002- went to go see it and my Nan was adamant that we couldn't get in...so she went and asked for THE TIME MACHINE- 7 year old me was starting to cry. Ticket lady said "Oh no he can see it! As long as he is with an adult!"
The 12A certification wasn't implemented apparently until 2002 The Bourne Identity- but they at the cinema - ODEON BRIGHTON- must have been privvy to a/the change.
LMFAO
Was looking through my sub feed and had a feeling for some reason that something Spider-Man related was in it. Maybe it was my spidey senses
All the raimi movies are perfect
He said Sam Raimi's 2001 adaptation of Spiderman spiderman came out in 2002
16:37 You do not wanna know what spidey does now
Especially with elsa
To be honest, I love these movies. The only two things I have it in my heart to dislike about these films are: 1) The romantic elements/dialogue, and 2) emo Peter. Otherwise, I love these films. The tone is just right for a Spider Man series, which I honestly thought was a weaker part of The Amazing Spider Man film.
I fucking love your reviews dude. You are SO funny and I know that sounds sarcastic over text maybe but I mean it!! I wish we were friends honestly 11/10 would have a beer with you (an actual Colt 45 maybe lol)
Keep up with these man ^^
Well, Nick Cage finally got that part as spider-man :D
Seriously, one of the best parts of all of these movies is Jay Jonah Jameson. They got the perfect actor to play him!
Also, I always found his son's name kind of hilarious. Jay Jonah Jameson Jr. :P
Well, at least it's easy to remember...even though he's barely in the movie at all.
I will always love these movies.
In Spider-Man 3 in Harry's apartment when they get done tossing around the ball on the wall it says "Anal Street," I am disappointed that I couldn't find anywhere where you would mention it. In the movie the time stamp should be 41:13.
first time i watched Spiderman 3 back in 2007 i really enjoy it alot, when i heard they were putting Venom in Spiderman 3, i was looking forward to seeing him because at the time i was watching Spiderman the Animated Series and the episodes i saw had Venom in it and i thought he looked cool, so i was excited to see him in Spiderman 3, that was when i was a kid, nowadays as a young man i do see the problems people have with the 3rd movie, but its not the worst because to me worst would mean these nothing good in it, which there is alot of stuff to enjoy in spiderman 3, the fights, the music, the CGI on Sandman when hes rising, these alot to like in this movie, it's the same thing i have with the Amazing Spiderman movies, there are not worst, they have alot, i mean alot of good stuff in those movies too
The Goofy Wilhelm scream is gold lol
Yes, but the surface tension would smash them to pieces, and even if that didn't happen, then the weight of the train car pull them down, and they'd drown.
Spider-Man - 0:00
Spider-Man 2 - 35:21
Spider-Man 3 - 1:10:44
Just in case anyone wants to skip to one in particular
At the time Peter still had his spider abilities he just had ptsd which is why he “loses” his powers.
Keep this man alive at all cost soldiers!!!!!!!!!!!!
39:08 No, he'd most likely turn to dust like **snap** that.
1:19:56 - click here for comedy gold
Actually the whole thing is funny, this dude is great but this part just had me in stitches.
Ah yes the holy trilogy
Bro, these videos were my childhood and they’re still so fucking funny
Any chance of you reviewing the MIB (Men in Black) trilogy?
Nah! Fusion just requires two or more gems combining their physical forms to make one bigger form.
The seen when he danced blinded me
I don’t really want to watch for the review I just watch it cause the funny bits it has it makes me laugh
Wait a minute, didn't the goblin beat hell out Spiderman? How does Peter's face not have any injuries during Norman's funeral ? Doesn't make any spider sense
1:13:10 Heh. Avengers' reject. This is funny since, years later, Spidey is made an official member of the Avengers family.
These movies teach good lessons, and especially warned me of FAKE news… ;-)
Anyone binging these for No Way Home?
Dude mj and peterman can’t do “the business” because of petermans radioactivity coursing through his veins so his friggin spider nuggets would kill mj
What other reviews are you considering doing? I know that ROTS is your next, and that you said you were gonna do a SL2 review at some point.
I like your Hedwig. She has a sense of humor. lol
WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon could play J. Jonah Jameson if he wanted to.
Summary of the films.
1. Peter is a awkward nerd
2. Peter is a noob at romance
3. Peter is a jerk.
48:16 that smile is hilarious
