    Live in Milton FL, close enough to get the good vibes, good food and THE beach at Pensacola. Then Navarre, Gulf Breeze etc. and escape to quiet of a suburban life.

    Just happened to run across your channel. I'm from pcola but been in Atl for 35 yrs. I'm 60 yrs old now. My family home is in from of wall south. Haven't been in the city in about 7 years since my mother and sister passed. Headed that way I'm December this year. My sisters from New York retired now and moving back in Oct.Fort Pickens Joe patties all my favorite. Got to make it downtown. Love the channel. Remembering my growing up years. The town is small but growing. 😊 Thanks

    Yak Motley. Love your channel. My stepbrother’s biological father lived in Pensacola, so I visited 3 summers in a row during the ages of 16 to 18. This was back in 1984 to 86. Back when Van Hagar was just getting started. Back then it was fantastic. We would go to the beach at Holiday Inn all day and fry. We did bay fishing with my brother’s father all day on the weekends. Of course we met some sweet young ladies too. I was in Pensacola for the opening of Top Gun, the original film and most of the people in the theatre were in the Navy, so you can imagine how they reacted to the opening scene. I have great memories of Pensacola. Nowadays I’m more of a Seaside type of guy.

    Born and raised in Pensacola and I dont see our small town as a con, I didnt stay here for it to become like los angeles, which it is quickly becoming. Those that talk to themselves, are addicted to drugs and are without homes are destroying this city, worse than a damn hurricane. Shoulda shown everyone all the tents downtown, the folks sleeping at the library, on the main streets downtown, the fantastic smell of pee. The trash everywhere. Give em the real glimpse.

    I live here in Pensacola. I would say it's a great place to visit if you just like water and beaches but living here not so much. They put no money into the roads, alot of homes are still on septic systems. And we have had 4 boil water episodes this yr alone. The schools are very very old and outdated. I simple fresh coat of paint and mowing around town and tearing down that old out dated disgusting Civic center and abandoned glass high-rise hotel next to it, Would help. If you just cleaned up the obvious visible things around this city, it'd be a lot nicer. Set the t

    We just moved to Pensacola, from Las Vegas, NV., for a slower pace of life. There are definitely some good things about Pensacola, but it is definitely slower and much older than what I'm used to. While the food is very good, it's been difficult to find good service, like we experienced in Vegas. I'd say it's a good place to go on vacation with the beaches and different activities. Moving here has been quite an adjustment, but I'm not sure this will he my forever home.

    I lived in Pensacola back in 03 to 04 and again in 2018 to 2019 really love the place, been living in Tucson AZ right now but looking to finally retire in March of this year and make Pensacola my permanent home. My only con is the hurricanes just missed Ivan and Dennis back in 04 and missed Michael as it went towards Panama city instead and moved out before Sally hit. That is my only worry about living in Pensacola. As for "tourist town", I also lived and worked in Destin now that is a tourist town, it would take me an hour to drive the 12 miles home from work a lot of times. I know it's crowded in the summer time getting into Pensacola Beach, but there is always Perdido Key which I love too.

    I’m from Pensacola! Moved away over 20 years ago. I didn’t appreciate it then! Graduated from Tate. Still have a small house there. I would say a pro to living there is the education that’s available. Due to Florida’s freedom of choice law, as long as you can provide your own transportation, kids can go to school anywhere in the county. Live in Cantonment, but want to participate in the IB program at Pensacola High? No problem! Live in Bellview, but want to go to the Ag high school (Tate), you can go! There is the Pensacola State College (was PJC in my day), UWF, PCC (Pensacola Christian College - Famous for their much lauded Abeka program! Several hospitals, salt water & freshwater activities.

    I am 59 and lived been here alot longer than you. It isn't what it was. It's time to move. The fact your a real estate agent automatically tells me your going to talk Pensacola up. The crime has risen, the rent is astronomical, and there aren't even any rentals to find here! The beach is such a small bonus. FWB and Destin has more of that. I want to hear from a 70 yr old not a young real estate agent who makes money selling houses here.

    • @cashman9420
      @cashman9420 Рік тому +1

      We don't need "diversity" - it's a weakness, not a strength. Look at the most diverse places in the U.S. California, once the golden state is now a mess with major crime, drug use, welfare, violence. Same with NYC, a multi-cultural cesspool of violent crime. Diversity has destroyed every large Democrat run city in this nation. Pensacola does not need what comes with diversity.

    • @JennaMichelleNizzy
      @JennaMichelleNizzy Рік тому

      I agree, not a lot of diversity unless you consider the military families. I'm from Nashville, TN and live here now and I can basically say it's just an extension of that, except Nashville has really grown diverse over the past 20 years. A pro is I like the small time feel and slower pace of life and going to the beach whenever I want.
