Thanks a lot for these videos. I compose blues influenced music so this will definitely help!
Luis, thanks for letting me know you've been watching. Makes my night! Peace!
Thanks as always!!!
You got it!
One of the unique areas of EZD3 that I’ve been needing some clarification on. Thx bro.
I'm glad you dug it, Edgar!
Thank you for explaining this. I thought I suddenly forgot how to play in 6/8 since BM kept coming up with 4/4. Figured it may just default to that. Thanks, again! I'd be lost without your tutorials.
Awesome. Thanks for e comment!
Awesome thank you for this 👊😎
Awesome experiment
Thank you, Jack.
Awesome thanks you brother!
Thank you for commenting, Dinofond!
Can’t say I use multiple time signatures like 5/4 and 7/8 very often, but the shuffle feel is a must that bandmate should be able to pick up. But does it know the difference between 6/8, 12/8 and a 4/4 shuffle? These are good videos, Shawn. I like the analysis!
I appreciate you commenting, and I'm gonna test this actually if I have the assets to do so.
You do a great job showing what EZ Drummer3 can do, and how to use it. Toontrack should give you an affiliate link.
I have several drum VST's, including Jamstix by Razoon. Jamstix is super cool, but it can be confusing to use. However it's really good for creating a virtually endless variety of grooves. So I'll be making my own midi packs, and bring those into EZ Drummer, which is the easiest and most intuitive drum VST imo.
Thank you very much for saying, Andrew! Users do mention Jamstix to me often. Hopefully I'll get some time to put into it in the near future. Cheers!
Yeah...Toontrack should collaborating with you to create Official "EXPLORE EZ Drummer 3" video series
I saw a video of the metal settings on Bandmate responding well to djent idioms, but wondering how it would fare with tremolo picking, if it would play blastbeats and such
I may test this asap.
@@ShootieSchool I'd love to see that
@@shunningground You should check my channel, put it up last night.
What do I do if I recorded 2 guitars in 205 than for a minute to 170 than back to 205 but the auto quantize mixed up the guitars timing from 205 to 207 so I can't get ez drummer in time because of the quantizeing?especially on the part when the guitars where in 170 bpm
You have to do one riff at a time and correct the tempo in Bandmate when prompted.
This is the stuff I've been looking for ez drummer 3 being able to do, it's looking like I'm going to upgrade, just to be clear... If I upgrade from ez drummer 2, I will get the full version with bandmate ect... I think its £80 or something. Cheers.
Upgrade = Bandmate, yes.
@@ShootieSchool cheers mate, great content, subbed
which is the best extenstion to the EZ3 core library?
That is very subjective. They come in different genres. You would get the genre that best suits your taste.
Sweet thanks ☺️
It feels a little weird that you weren't the first comment...
@@ShootieSchool it's important to encourage others but it's hard waiting for someone else to post
You out-humored me, not cool! Thanks for swinging in, as always.
@@ShootieSchool are you saying I'm a Monkey and just swinging in! Just cause you gave us those lovely groove Monkey midi packs cheap. I'm sending Hit Monkey 😉
The owner send me a message being all polite as he is... you know it’s Monkee not monkey... whoops! Noted.
I have a song that alternates from 9/8 to 12/8. Can I go back and forth in one EZD3 project?
Sincerely,
Nooby McNooberson
Yes. I haven't covered this yet in my vids. But to get you started. Look in your Song Track (timeline), Right-Click on the ruler (where your measure numbers are) and you'll see a menu for tempo and time sig changes. After you select Edit Time Sig, start double clicking around in the Song Track, you'll get a feel for it after am minute.
So if my song is in 7/8 and the bridge is 4/4 can EZD 3 do that? When I edit the time signature it changes it for the whole song...
Right Click in the Ruler Area of the Song Track... right below the measure numbers.
Is it not just a bpm detector at the end of the day ? I honestly don’t get what it’s doing more than that ? Thanks
Yes. But if you don't only play quarter notes on your instrument in the 4/4 time signature then it very may not be inaccurate. If you play 6/8 at 120, it might think you're playing ultra fast 4/4. I think that's what you were asking about, let me know. Thanks.
cool video but way too much talk .....
