- Sam Sulek has taken the fitness world by storm with his style of videos. Bringing back meathead mentality while providing quality entertainment. One issue.. should you be following his diet and/or training advice?
In this video, I give my two cents.

I love Sam's videos. There is a nostalgia to them like when people did videos on UA-cam 15 years ago, brings that same vibe. He captures it really well.
Like the nostalgia on Porn Hub?
Exactly this. For example, I followed Rich Piana's videos every single day - not because I wanted to eat and do everything his way but because it was just fkn hardcore motivating and entertaining. I think that's where most people need to be able to draw the line and separate between doing exactly what Sam does and just using it as motivation.
Delray Misfits ftw @@DethrowDestruction
15 years ago..?? Yeah right, 15 Years ago people who are not alive now. I have watched Bostin Loyd crazy transformation, Zyzz in their prime on youtube, Jerry Ward was Seth Fer0ce of those times. As much as these transformations and young kid resurface every now and then. People need to understand that What these kids are doing to themselves are no safe, and setting false expectations. The reality is as time pass by nutrition and steroids develop and any crazy Mesomorph Kid with wrong guidance can pull this body and start a educational videos while its not.
RIP rich....
People bust his balls about what he eats. He's 21 years old and a college student.. what else do you expect him to be eating.😂

Not trt and 'roids😂
I remember being 25 years old, living on McDonald's and still shredded to the bone! Now I have to count every calorie at 52.
🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
theyre mad that they cant eat like him or lift like him. 😂😂😂
He has never once told anyone to do what he does. He just shows what he does and says this is what works for him.
I agree. Then you have dbags like Greg D selling snake oil supplements to kids, to make a quick buck. This kid doesn't seem to be whoring himself out for a $.
Amen
Qnd how many will try to do the same?
@@oldschoolbudapestworkout2105 That's for them to try and find out. Who gives a damn?
@@oldschoolbudapestworkout2105 Sam tells all the time to do things that work for you. He also tells people not to follow people who tell other people what they should do. That's why these other fitness people are mad.
He never tells people to do what he’s doing he is simply documenting his fitness journey and sharing it with us. People need content so they attack what he’s doing it’s HIS damn body!
1 million subscribers. and im one of them. i dont try and follow his diet, but i admire his journey and i love the straight to the point content.
Yeah this guy is a clown

Yes, but at the same time, there are young viewers who are very impressionable that need to be warned of the dangers of how Sam does what he does.
Apparently people online have different definitions of "fitness" lol... he looked fit in his old videos. He looks 10 years older than his age now. Something tells me guys that go to that extreme won't live the longest of lives.
Everyone I see hating on Sam clearly hasn’t watched much of him. He’s such a sweet kid. He trains hard, he’s passionate, and he’s learning constantly. The advice he gives to kids is usually solid: track your macros if you struggle gaining/losing weight, bring intensity to your sets, etc. And he is even mature enough to give a disclaimer of “this is what works for me, you gotta do what works for you.”
He’s a great injection of fun and authenticity into the UA-cam scene.
100% agree ❤
Spot on
Yeah everyone is a critic and thinks they know better but yet here Sam is now with 1 million subs and an amazing physique at 21 lol
Yea I agree but... he is an ego lifter and steroid user. It's dangerous to ppl just starting out following him thinking that's realistic for them.
@@forrestaustin7050 what’s more dangerous for new lifters is people like you who bottleneck their potential right out of the gate. You have no idea what someone can achieve naturally and not everyone starting out wants to be Sam’s size. Sam’s motivating over a 1 million people with a positive message. He never promotes or even alludes that he’s taking steroids. What are you doing to motivate that many people or anyone for that matter? Just because all you see is a steroid user doesn’t mean that’s all we see. So maybe think outside of your own little world before you go judging others.
Sam goes to school, works, trains, and pumps out content every single day. He is a smart young man that knows exactly what he is doing.
hey Sam!

The kid has a gymnastics background. He can "Ego Lift" with more control than your average lifter.
I love how “influencers” with mediocre physiques are all criticizing Sam. Sam is just Vlogging his fitness journey, explaining his process and showing what he does. While every other clown on youtube is trying to sell shitty workout programs, Sam is showing how a bodybuilder with an insane physique actually lives and and what it actually takes to do what he does. Anyone who craps on him is just jealous.
nothing sam does is "fitness''. its all about looks. nothing about health. get off his nuts beta male.
I hope you’re not indicating Seth has a mediocre physique 💀💀 multiple times in the video he applauds Sam but also tells the average person that you shouldn’t eat an entire box of cereal like Sam does, if your Sam’s age and training as hard as him, then sure that might work for you but Sam consumes a shit ton of unhealthy food lmao

I love watching this young 21yr in Sam Sulek. He is so humbled, so genuine, and not a show off. And I love how all his video are so raw and old school video created content. When I watch his videos, it’s like I am there with him. Sam Sulek is what we need in todays fitness social media industry.
Agreed! And plus the fact he isn't on here ripping on anyone else which is seemingly the norm here... Sam keeps to and only talks about himself..
It's not fitness. Eating entire boxes of donuts and shit and calling it a meal is not fitness. If you aren't on steroids, it's diabetes.
Yes , if we can all pretend he is fully natural then he is perfect ! 🥰
Lmao gay😂
Not exactly humble if you're that completely self-absorbed into your body dysmorphia and presenting it as some kind of example to the world while not actually discussing the insane amounts of PEDa he's obviously abusing.
Really enjoyable video Seth! I follow Sam since he had like 3000 followers (now over 1M). And he's a great guy, what he means by egolifting is more like focussing on progressive overload and putting on some weight instead of science based formlifting with lower weights... He does like 8/10 good form reps and does 6 extra half reps giving it all. And in his past he's done wrestling, gymnastics and diving. Man's an insane good athlete, would be great to see a collab! He's from Ohio btw
Man I miss those days when I was 21 and just started bodybuilding. I did it natural but I had so much fun with it. Was able to eat whatever I wanted trained like a beast and still felt great the next day. Went from 190 to 230 in 5 years.

I like Sam, for just showing what he does, speaking his mind, and he doesn't say to workout exactly like him, the most he said about working out is "try out for yourself, what works and what doesn't, specifically this, works for me"
And as I am 21 as well, i started going to gym at 14-15, and i gained experience from my coach, he taught me the exercises that work for me, and i stick to them, changing up every workout with different variations
Man that protein tub in the background (almost) halfway off the shelf was just staring at me the entire time during your video lol

That's what I'm thinking. Damaging internal organs.
Dude has an iron stomach and can eat anything. He's taking advantage of that and his age.

I’m 27 and it’s crazy how different I was when I was 21 just 6 years ago. Early 20s vs late 20s is still a very different ball game. Life starts to really hit you by your mid 20s
Haha wait till you hit your 40’s. You’re still wet behind the ears in your late 20’s.
LOL, I say it really changes after 40😉 I’m 54 now, been training 35+years. One thing I can say is, never stop training hard, just modify as necessary. I still have abs, serratus, obliques, vascularity; the whole bit but I work my ass off and have a reasonably clean diet. Again, never stop gettin after it. That goes for life in general…
@eventydefallacy8464 Things might happen in your life, but that can happen at any time. Even in my 30s I have felt very little change in my body. Slightly slower metabolism in my late 30s. You won't notice anything in your mid 20s, maybe not in your 30s either if you keep hitting it hard and take care of yourself.

Seth speaking to sam like he’s his uncle. I appreciate the perspective and way he delivers his opinion.
People told me he blew up on social media because he gained upwards of 50-60 pounds in less than two years, with most of it in the first year, despite already doing two-years of training.
The transformation really went viral and inspired a lot of guys on TikTok to try and do his training and diet to gain an equal amount of weight and strength.
So good for him for parlaying such a fast transformation into a large following.
I agree with everything you said. Watching sams videos reminds me of exactly how I was when I started training 20 years ago. Eating what I could, training balls to the wall every workout. The one thing I agree with you the most is when you said Sam is putting these videos out like a diary and not the influencer bullshit. You hit the bullseye with that one 🎯

Sam is a good dude. Hes nice as can be, zero ego, super calm and genuine.
Yes his diet is horrendous and he's absolutely over doing it gear wise. He does lie about it and he doesn't encourage anybody else to do it. I hope one day he slows down significantly and cleans up his diet. Ultimately his choice though. I think the hate is coming from jealous people particularly in the fitness community that are watching a young kid come in and get crazy numbers while their channels stagnate.
Clean up his diet and bulk with what food given his appetite?
When did he lie about using gear ? He has never said he was or was not using gear.
Sam literally says “do what works for you. Do what feels good and gets you results. This is why I am doing. This might not what be what you should be doing” I think that alone is better than any bit of information than any bullshit fitness guru is giving
I completely agree. I'm almost 60 and about 6 yrs ago I stumbled on Seth and began doing Seth sets. Made good gains since.

I genuinely can’t stand the hate towards Sam. Unlike most fitness influencer, not all but most, he is a genuine person. He isn’t in it for money or fame, he just wants to look good. He isn’t loud and obnoxious and he isn’t a fake natty. Yea he trains irregularly and intensely. He is training for hypertrophy and to look good, not even going into competitions. He doesn’t sit there and say “this is how you need to train” unlike other influencers, I wont name names but you know who they are, nor does he push bullshit products that you could get the ingredients cheaper on Amazon. Bro is just a college student who started posting workout videos and blew up. He is a step in the right direction if you ask me. A step away from the gym bros, the loud mouths, the scammers, the fake natties, all of them. Genuinely love sams content and i hate that it is even controversial. It’s only controversial because people need a scapegoat to get views. No offense to Greg doucette or anyone like him as I like most of their content too, but with the amount of content they post on him, it is just a grab for views and brings unnecessary hate. The gym community needs to do better.
I'm right there with you. All of the haters are just jealous.

Na we train hard we just don't do steroids. I have nothing against roids.
Sam's content is a breath of fresh air and transcends age. I'm 47 and really enjoy, and can learn, from his videos. While they're polar opposites in many ways, my two favorite fitness UA-camrs are Sam Sulek and Natural Hypertrophy. Natural or enhanced it's refreshing to see good people making valuable and entertaining content that aren't following the same dumb down clickbait centric formula ie: the Andrew Eubanks' of the world.
It’s refreshing to see because Sam and his videos are genuine. It’s straight to the point and raw. Not the fucking influencer style bullshit that everyone is dick riding on.
It's funny, I think Sam is like a more chill, laid back Seth
Sam appeals to the 12-18 year old young men, who thankfully are looking up to a manly doing manly stuff.
In a world where men are having their manhood attacked, where testosterone is vilified (unless it’s used on a trans woman/man whatever) where gender fluidity and mental illness is celebrated instead of treated, thank God for someone like Sam. Who cares about his diet. Who cares about his form. Who cares about what gear he has the right to take. Sam represents something so much bigger than these reaction videos.
We need more young men like Sam, one who will be a champion for the young men of our country.
I’d never heard of Sam Sulek until I saw your vid. I watched a few of his vids after yours and that is definitely not his typical diet. I agree with you though, he seems like a good kid. He definitely trains intuitively and seems to have a good grasp on lifting. Great vid though! I’m new to your channel as well and really like it. I’m glad you had a positive attitude on the kid and didn’t trash him. Sub’d!!!
Seth loves it I can see it in his smile.. he understands dudes young people fuck up and live off the edge
Once again as the fans/critics poke at an individual for doing what they love to do, especially when its not harming anyone else, Seth comes along and just uplifts and makes just very real and genuine comments about someone, keeping it real. This is one of the many reasons why myself and so many others follow Seth Feroce
The dude has over 2 mil subs on UA-cam alone and still grinding in college! That’s huge respect! Any of these influencers would of dropped school and stay with social media. He’s feeding his brain as well so props to him 💪
I was expecting the usual trend hopping. Respect for formulating your own opinion for you and your audience, earned a sub.
Yeah Sam even says he doesn’t give coaching, his words aren’t directions, he doesn’t give out direct advice. He gives out generic foundational ideas, he’s encouraged young people to go lift, he’s a positive wholesome influence.
And to be fair, at 21 eating a box of cereal and a jug of chocolate milk in a day as a college kid is far from the worst you can do 😂😂
He’s a kid, who uses his platform for good, he thinks out loud and is a positive influence. Hating on someone will never change the behavior or promote positivity. Love hearing you speak on these things, Seth.
At 21, eating a death asking diet is one of the worse you can do. He tells people don't listen to small lifter as a joke ( I don't think he is joking at all ), he spread positive by abusing steroid?
