Jaya Bachhan is so correct about 14 saag... that says she still has bengali in her even after so many years out of Bengal... loved hearing little things from her❤
Just a suggestion, it'll be quite interesting to have other members of the fam be guests on this podcast. Like how Agastya was earlier on. Although i love that its about you 3 and thats what makes it special. I cant help but wonder how the dynamics are between the rest of them. For example if the topic is specific to one other members of the fam, we could get their perspective on things. Abhishek for sibling dynamics between him and shwetta growing up and how he dealt with the pressure of matching up to his fathers legacy as a son. Not necessarily in films. This is something a lot of guys could relate to. Big B for how not to lose hope and to just paddle through when spmething isnt going your way in terms of a slump in your career. Aishwarya for women in workplaces and their struggles with patriarchy specifically in a male dominant industry. If her getting married affected the kind of work she got offered.

That was an interesting episode, Navya! I wish you would do one episode on books that you read and your personal book collection and the various genres you love etc It would be lovely to hear you guys discussing books
I am eternally thankful to Jaya ji for telling the truth about THE AUTHENTIC BENGALI FOOD. We hardly use onion-garlic in our recipes. Our food is so simple, soulful, scientific and supremely Misrepresented. Being a cooking enthusiast, my constant intention is to tell people about how simple and beautiful authentic bengali food is in India. It has so much texture, aroma and subtlety. I love your podcast episodes! Keep up the good work😊
Correct. Authentic Bengali food pays a lot of attention to the natural flavors of the vegetables, therefore very few condiments & masalas are added. Infact the typical idea of onion ginger garlic tomato with garam masala well fried in oil etc end up in a mishmash of flavors leaving the food without any character. Where as typical Bengali food has very limited condiments, well balanced with the vegetables, even oil is used lightly. Normally when one speaks of Bengali food, non- veg & mistis comes to the fore, but Bengali cuisine has a very long range of vegetarian food of different genre, like bhatey bhaat was mentioned, similarly there is danla, choch-chodi, ghonto, chechki, labda, jhol, sukto, bhaja, chaatni....
hey Navya! you are an incredibly nice person but just one piece of feedback- stop talking over the other participants. you ask a question and the moment the other ladies start talking, you cut them off and start answering your own question.
