I use GIMP with a preset pallette and export with a index colour profile. I also recommend libresprite as it automates the grid and has special features in relation to the grid that help working on the individual tiles.
I am going to do a piece for the jam and always appreciate your content. GB Studio is the only engine I have completed non-tutorial games in and it will always be close to my heart.
Hey Robert, can I make a suggestion for a tutorial on gb studio?. You know those games like Metroid where you point the gun in a diagonal and press a button to hold that position?. Doing that on gb studio would be nice. Thanks.
@@RobertDoman Good morning Robert. Is your email contact that you have here on youtube working?. I´ve tried to send you an email and it says the server is not accepting it.
Great video! Thanks for putting this together :) Happy you mentioned how to submit to the Jam too.
No problem, I'm excited for the jam!

@@RobertDoman I just tried it with the gmail webpage and this time it worked. If you could read it, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
@@pnvgordinho I just replied to your email
I use Graphicsgale for sprites and pixel art, if I set things accordingly it should work just fine for GB Studio art, right?
Any program or app that you can export as a .PNG will work fine!
