@@leeperhapsbased.9057 I think their is compatibility with color pallets for working with the gbc, but don't take my word for it, just check out the settings, I think I saw it there

This is perfect video for people who want to start developing games! I am working with unity and all the basics exists here! Scenes , collision etc. Sure they are more complicated in unity, but the logic is more or less the same!

lol, making a battle system and a system like pokemon its a very difficult thing to do, it would take at least 8 episodes and from a good programmer, mort isnt a programmer, mmm if you want to learn more about it, i recommend to watch tutorials of unity or rpgmaker for this kind of things, and watch some tutorial online i can tell bc im a gamedev, :p well good luck :)

The idea is great, I just watched a bunch of video tutorials but the sample project alone after being built into a rom is 1MB, that's a lot of space for a GB game.

another good maker with limits is pico 8, it works with Lua and it has ton of limits for example 8-bit colors, 8x8 sprites and limited amount of code.
I wonder if using the same tiles over and over as well as adding more things to the project can be much more bigger than as presented.

in terms of program speed, how does this compare to just writing in Assembly?
plus once a game is actually done can you just export it as a Binary file to then use on actual GB Hardware or an Emulator?

This program looks quick, simple, and intuitive, and the video explained it really well.
I just wonder how good it is at making a game like Tetris? It looks really well suited for RPGs and stuff, but what about other styles?
There's a GBColor beta now, with platformer and graphic adventure modes. Maybe you can make a tetris from that
what do you do if building from scratch, if your triggers refuse to trigger the event? Im just trying to change form one scene to another and when i type "change scene" while highlited on the first scene and drag it to the 2nd scene, it automatically changes scene when the game starts. I need it to ONLY change scene when i walk into it

This is really cool, but a little too limited in the kind of game you can make...
Here's hoping it gets more development so that more kinds of games can be made, as well as adding a tilemap editor, support for larger maps, for the GBC (in case you want to make a colour game), for animated tiles, palette-swapping, and maybe this is asking too much but I'd also love to see some scanline interupts going on, if all of that is achieved I'll be *all over* this software!

It's stunning how GBStudio had changed in just one year. Apparently you can now do GBC games in it, not to mention that it now supports platformer and shmup gameplay.

Hi! I'm a big fan of GBC harry potter games. They were awesome but they only made sorcerer's stone and chamber of secrets for it. Is it possible to make the other ones?
