Day 15 of asking to make a video about why young Chinese men are not interested to marry anymore. Is it because Dowry system? Or housing prices? Or other economic and social issues. I just want to know.
And day 12 of asking to make a video explaining why white men think Chinese girls are easy. I really want to know.
      Kindly consider my request.

Maybe it's not a Courage or Confidence issue that is the problem. Maybe it's a Men are not ATM's or Into dating A Female Masculine "Man" that is the Issue in America at least. The Women become the Man they are Looking for... Then Emotionally Abandoned 80% of American and now it's definitely not going to be the desired outcome for them. I love your initial questions and follow up questions. They aren’t generic and it’s like listening to a real conversation between friends. You don’t just come out and say “Chinas population is falling” but how you say “Does left over men have a negative impact on society” -- it creates an opportunity for diverse ideas to emerge which is so satisfying. Not only learning Chinese and listening but getting real viewpoints. This channel is seriously underrated and I hope it becomes more popular.

*TOO FAST?* Control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time on desktop computers and laptops OR 25% at a time on smartphone!
Access the playback speed controls as follows:
*Desktop Computers and Laptops:* open the video, then go to the lower right of the video's screen and click on the settings icon (it looks like a GEAR). On the upper right of the options window that comes up, you will see the link "custom". Click on the "custom" link to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time.
*Smartphones:* open the video and go to the upper right of the video's screen. You will see 3 dots. Click on them and you will see the link to open the "playback speed" controls. Click on this link and you will be able to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 25% at a time. Note that viewing the video on desktop computer/laptops gives you greater control over the playback speed (5% vs 25% on smartphones).

I am Chinese but I was born and raised abroad. I don't think dowries are reasonable at all. Yes, my parents raised me and spent a lot of money, but I am not a pet nor cattle, and I am not being sold to another family. After marriage, I am part of two families/ we are one big family. And my parents had me because they wanted children, not an economic gain. I think a lot of the girls in the video only agree to dowries because they gain something but deepdown they know it is not right. It does not align with the "independent woman" theme.
They should normalise starting at the botton with your partner. Rent together, buy a house together, buy a car together. Build a life together. I always thought that was normal.
No wonder they have so many problems in China, they created their problem on their own. And I also know problems also arise because the parents od the couple is medding too much. Relationships should be focused on the two people in the relationship first, and the extended family second.

Thats right. Every girl wants a sugar daddy to take care of them, have everything set for them, to replace their dad. A house and car and plenty of money to buy them all sorts of presents they dont need. In reality, they appreciate these things less than they would if they grew up with the man, and went through every stage of becoming successful together to work for what they have. Instead, what happens is the woman will cycle through men, lose her virginity, get ran through until she finds a rich one she likes, to take advantage of his hard work and life savings. That is so crazy. What happened to true love?

"Leftover" men and women is not a problem unique to China, but a problem endemic to first world nations where the belief that money and personal freedom are more important than children and family prevails. Even in the United States, it is not the wealthy who are breeding, but the poor and the immigrants. People care more about amassing as much hell money as possible than living a meaningful life. When you are young and myopic, there are few things worse in life than getting exactly what you wanted.

Population decline and quality of children as they grow to adults is a major problem all over the world. China must create a comprehensive change to creating larger families that will support a healthy society. This starts with matching right mates, to making childbirth easier, to having a robust and effective education system that embraces the traditional Chinese values.

I love chinese culture on the whole, its fascinating how they evolved culturally, financially and a economic power house that it is.But when it comes to the human side of how people are treated or even traded particularly women its miles and miles away behind. Why do parents put their sons and daughters under pressure to get married so badly in their 20 s? i watch tv dramas and the themes are all the same. no wonder the birth rate is dramatically falling and population shrinking. there is exodus of people leaving china particularly the young generation who wants to see the world and enjoy life.
where i came from people get married and find new partners at the age of 50 and 60s, there is no such thing like left overs, This is a term that we use for discarded food non edible. I think when they realise that love is more important than dowries and red envelopes, the population will grow much faster.

There’s no guarantee your kids will be good productive citizens and take care of you in your golden years. But it is more likely that no one will take as good of care for you as your family will. Plus I don’t see in China’s future there are enough kids being born today that are available in any field that will be able to efficiently take care of the Elders of tomorrow.

China is a country with 1B inhabitants, different cultures, provinces with more rural and traditional populations, others more urban and modern. Of course, dowry is not a rule that all Chinese people follow. To think this is so is to have no idea what China is. Throughout Europe, for example, we also have this dynamic between tradition and modernity and we find many populations whose traditions have been maintained for centuries...

male and female's mating strategy and biological needs are different. generally male would prefer to spread their seeds wide and far while female would prefer to lockdown the best male so they can get to extract resources from him and gain protection for stability and security. marriage is compatible and beneficial to female but totally against male. females are considered a winner to be able to find the best deal they can get to marry them and it is a big mistake to use female's standard to measure on male's success. successful male measurement should be wealthy and be able to met his mating strategy and biological needs. i think dating or be in a relationship is still consider a win for male but once he get trapped into marriage then he is a loser. whenever i attend someone's wedding, i will always congratulate the bride and seldom congratulate the bridegroom unless his partner is an asset to him rather than a liability.

leftover men and women are leftovers. society already has had its fill of married couples; something must be wrong societally. if leftovers are eventually eaten, they may be past their prime and approaching expiration. some require aging to reach their prime, though it can be difficult to discern fermentation from rot.

  • @AxionSmurf

It's not about being strong. Women worked in the WW2 factories with heavy equipment and we had a population boom, so someone was bonking strong women. Some people view "strong" as being full of hot air and contradictions. Truly strong women with ethics and morals, humility, and logical thought are very attractive. But it isn't easy to be strong. So there aren't very many truly strong women.

@@LittleRadicalThinker You're making my point - statistically, people are deferring marriage for a number of reasons. In 1500, you got married at 15, and had 6 children. Things change. Priorities shift. I think a man could be very interested in a woman over 30 - beautiful, capable of children, mature, and confident. What is there not to like?

    • @LittleRadicalThinker
      @LittleRadicalThinker Місяць тому

@@RyanTheLaiEn I guess you don’t understand the point as a foreigner. Whatever your cup of tea, it’s JUST the financial pressure forcing all the marriage problems down the throats of Chinese, along with all the controls and all the money grabbings, and it will be worse and worse in the coming years. If the woman has money, most man can’t marry her because it will be too much pressure to be her husband, and if she becomes leftover, the man who has more money than her just won’t consider her at all when the man can easily find a younger and more attractive woman. There is no point to even consider any leftover woman in China.
China is facing a great catastrophe. China will either be another NK, likely not because Chinese know too much already, or become a “slavery” state under Xi like now, or a civil war will break out, and along with any of above, Great Depression and great famine will come too. China is at the very edge of great catastrophe. War time economy will be implemented for sure, life will be as cheap as tofu dregs like the current Russia, sending countless cannon fodders to Ukraine just to keep any territory for another day or two. The China catastrophe can’t be avoided unfortunately. Maybe it’s a crazy solution to the crazy marriage problem in China, either way, the China I know will be gone in some years. Learning mandarin is useless and pointless because the whole China will be totally different in maybe a decade.
