I've suffered from the pain caused by a herniated disk for two months and have thought a lot about what a shame it is that I spent my youth being dissatisfied with my looks instead of enjoying being painfree and having a great range of movement. Right now, I envy anyone whose body feels good, no matter how it looks, or how much older than mine it is. I see elderly people speed walking at the park or slouching on a chair and envy them, haha. So if you read this and your body feels pretty good, savor it!

I love this interview! It’s so good for facial features and adjectives. These kids are sometimes superficial and sometimes very poetic. I was surprised by some cultural thing like the lucky thick ears. It’s nice to see people like facial features for reasons other than beauty.

9:47 I agree with this girl. I used to hate my vampire teeth because it didn't fit the beauty standard but I learnt that beauty trends are forever changing. It's not stagnant. So if you ever decide to change your appearance, especially those that are permanent, make sure to do it for your own happiness, not for other people's validation. Because at the end of the day, you can't make everyone like you and thus, the importance of loving yourself.

I had been living in china for 4 years and while watching the interview, I’m wondering why self-confidence among Chinese people is so low? I believe it’s basically a psychological matter. Whenever we accept ourselves, life starts going more smoothly. But in time of beauty standards it’s not so easy to accept oneself. Another thing is a political system… I’m Russian, and we have more in common than western societies. We used to have such low self esteem too, actually it’s still there but thanks to psychological trainings, therapies, spiritual practices, we tend to value ourselves more.
It is a cultural thing. In America you brag and you have lots of self-confidence whereas in Asia it is frowned upon. I was very surprised that this boy would give himself a 10. So a 8 in Asia is not the same as an 8 in America.
A lot is culture, but not totally. 我是美国人，但是我觉得中国女人比美国女人很漂亮。 But, people don't get married strictly for physical beauty. As Proverbs 31:30 says, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
03:14 There is no such a thing as "mainstream beauty". It is all a modern propoganda that says the standard exists while it doesn't. We all can feel and see natural beauty even if we were never taught to do it. The proportions that do fit make us feel an aesthetic pleasure and vice versa.
I agree. She's got a lovely cute face. Symmetrical features, great skin, gorgeous eyes in the fleeting moment she looks up. Just needs a bit of self-confidence.
Chinese people are beautiful. and I wish they didn't hold themselves against such harsh "standards" of appearances. Just enjoy your life for how God made you. You can improve basic things ilke sleep, exercise, diet. If you're a woman put on make up is fine. No need for dangerous and costly surgeries. they make people look ugly any way.
interesting to see how other cultures view “beauty”. i’m lucky that i won the genetic lottery in my country (mainly high nose, defined chin, and brown skin for males) but if i go to 中国 i would probably end up below average 😂
The videos are perfect but it's too long so practicing 30 minutes is really difficult so can you trim the videos and post again, like make it 5 minutes then publish on UA-cam or other social medias like TikTok Thanks 👍🏻

I had been living in china for 4 years and while watching the interview, I’m wondering why self-confidence among Chinese people is so low? I believe it’s basically a psychological matter.
