The French M4A1 FL10 is one of my favorite premium tanks in War Thunder. It's just a cast hull Sherman with an AMX-13 turret, but its fast reload and hard-hitting rounds make it a lot of fun to use. The lack of a stabilizer isn't great, but it's easy to work around. It's one of the better premiums Gaijin has added.

Any autoloading tank that allows for quick follow up shots are amazing, especially with all the volumetric BS happening nowadays where your shell can be eaten in its entierety by a coax machine gun and dissapear.

Lately when i try to shoot through a damn hay or a table my shot disapears and it pisses me off . I died 10 times like this today
T95s copula ate my APHE still no idea how seeing as shooting the copula is the most effective way to kill T95s.
my favorite is when you play something like the Sturer Emil or IS-2 and and a coax eats the shell
Iv had my french 100mm bounce on a kv220 upper hull from maybe 10 meters away at a marginal angle.
@@jessegd6306 76mm Shermans reload ranges from 7.53 seconds stock to 5.9 seconds aced and experted crew and can go down a lot if your loader is dead or wounded.
FL10 gets a flat 5 second reload even if your loader is dead with a very strong AP round.

fun fact i learned a while ago,gaijin has it so bombs that land on buildings (even far away ones at near ground level) seem to do top attack style damage even if it's through other buildings or the one it landed on
so if you're in the He-111 or Pe-8, drop the bomb on the roof of a building and it will calculate damage through the roof armor instead of the side armor
ah yes, because the Pe-8 needs to be able to kill things better, never mind the 5000kg bomb

I recommend the Strv 42 Delat Torn, it is a bit of a meme but in a fun way. Having a 3.5 second reload with a gun with similar performance to the American 76 with twice the explosive mass is a hoot.
It's quite fun sometimes, I once got a 8 kill flank on Eastern Europe.
I was just about to recommend that tank as well, the stock shell sucks but the apbche shell is amazing, plus the tank is quite quick.

Yea, in an ambush position it's ridiculously powerful, and current BR allowed it to consistently racked up 3+ kills due to tiger players and oblivious Germany mains in general, hell I managed to get 10+ kills with a *solid shot* by camping on B point and sniping every tank that tries to capture it, highly recommend
A funny thing is that 50 cals can pen the turret on most points, meaning you can ammorack it with mgs even some distance away
I love how if the shell clips the smallest thing it becomes a non pen. Very realistic!
Volumetric makes it so that bullshit happens. I’ve had panthers bounce 105s on their unangled sides because it’s hit a part of the model that has pieces that overlap, and gaijin’s half baked code calculates the armor value to an impossibly high value when irl it would go right through. It’s like with the T-34 and tiger’s driver hatch being impenetrable. Gaijin can’t code for shit.
Spookston, love the videos, I noticed you have never done a video on the t20 American premium! It sits at 6.0 and in my opinion has no right being that high, but it is still one I my favorites and it’s very capable of doing well.

3:48 Gaijin actually DOES model dual driver controls, but as far as I can remember it's only on a single vehicle (besides the S-Tanks), which is the Pbil m/40. If you hover the cursor over the rear facing driver in the x-ray view, it will say, "Machine gunner; Can drive the vehicle." However, that text doesn't show up on other vehicles with a rear facing driver like the 234 series or the EBR series.
Doesn't the AB41/43 get 2 drivers too?

As you probably know, the Egyptians used this M4 variant. However, they mainly used re-engined M4A4 hulls. It was a decent tank destroyer

Are you able to play the AMX M4. It’s another French tank with an oscillating turret and an auto loader. It has quite good gun depression for a tank with an oscillating turret and is manoeuvrable for its weight.
And got an actual reverse some patch ago.

The worst map layout by far has to be the Battle layout of Normandy. If you're on the west side, the enemy point is so close to their spawn that you will be marked on the map no matter where you sit

One of my all time favorite vehicles. A bit of smart positioning and you can carry a game with one of these.

reminds me when ive joined the beta for the French, played until then mostly exclusive russia, and it where a blast to have a gun that doesnt feel like a potato cannon (looking at you KV-1) while fighting anything with some armor.
Sup Spookston. Just want to say that the m4a1 fl10 is rather interesting and i would love to see a very similar vehicle in war thunder which is the m24 fl10, because im pretty sure they made one of those just like its reversed sibling that exists in the game, although the m24 fl10 was only a prototype unlike the amx13-m24.
Also It would be awsome if you made a video on one of my personal favorites the type 60 sprg. Its quite fun on 6.7 especially because of the double tapping recoiless rifles, awsome mobility and rather goofy looks also the lineup around it being pretty usable. Anyways keep up the good work and im exited to see what we will see next.

At 7:52 the KV-85 only has 60mm of armor on the sides that’s why it went through. On top of that there’s a section of the 60mm cut out to fit a round 40mm plate on both sides to fit the larger turret on the KV chassis. Yes, Wirbelwinds can and will kill you if they hit here.

I love your little sound effect additions. Only addition I'd request, is when a tree or something falls on a tank, a small bonk sound would make it better. Like at 0:55, the lamp falls on you, bonk sound. Ez claps.
Fun fact about the Sherman. Later models of the Sherman had dual driver controls suck as the A3 version along with that version also having commander controls that rotated the turret to assist the gunner with targeting. Note many late A1 and A2 Sherman’s came with the commanders control electronics due to it being a turret modification.

I bought is thing last year and legit grinded all the French techtree up to rank 4 to 5 were I think it's limit reaches.
3:45 yeah PZIVH’s have weirdly trolly armour, I’ve seen a teammate in one tank a Tigers shots for a good minute until I could repair and blast the tiger in my IS-1 while using the PZIVH as cover lmao

Just got this thing last 2 weeks and I managed to bottom out 23 shells in 1 life + 10 more from a point. It slaps and it autoloads. The only issue is that it needs the other AP round.
Also most players are either at high tier or grinding planes this event, since its quite easier than trying to commit mental sudoku while playing tanks.
Also, a video on the Sub-2, Japan's R3, please.
Since Amx-10 RC is going to see some actions on the easter front, now it might be good idea to show how it plays in game.

Everyone, and i mean everyone that uses this thing always get 6+ kills, on a good note it can easily die by anything above 12.7mm.

You should play the leopard 2k, 72kmh reverse and 20mm auto cannon is underrated. Comes in handy with all the wolf-packs and 2S38 running around.
I was so sad that I missed out on this is the first time around, that it put me off of playing the entire french tech tree until it was made available again.

awesome vid spookston. have u a=ever noticed american heavies (t34,t30,t29,t26etc) shoot panthers on the cheek sometimes cus they played the 76? just something i see a lot even though they can pen the body of the panther for a straight kill

ARL-44 tank destroyer, it's actually what I'm researching at the moment, would be nice to see it in action in current year/meta
Be ready to be a menace to Tigers and Panthers, but always act before them. Luckily, you have great mobility and turret traverse for a heavy tank (it's a heavy tank, designating it as a tank destroyer is dumb), so it's not a problem usuallly.

Rooikat MTTD please. As far as I can tell they're a pretty rare site, not to mention the Rooikat 105 kinda pushes people away from it with it's better round. HOWEVER, that autoloader is pretty sweet imo. Personally very glad I grinded the MTTD and hope you would enjoy it as well.

Ackually Spookyston, the swedish Delat Torn is just a 76 sherman but obviously built different. It does everything the sherman can do, but better. And it gets an autoloader so you're obviously gonna pubstomp any lobby you're in.
