Thank you for you cottage cheese recipes. I’m in my early 50s and have been trying to increase my protein intake so these recipes are perfect…. And tasty!
It boggles the brain, how doctors are NOT educated in nutrition, yet they will tell you “eggs daily, are bad for you!” Eggs get such a bad reputation! We eat eggs everyday. Either omelettes, egg sandwiches, scrambled eggs, egg salad etc. and we have been for several years! However, we raise our own chickens and our own beef so we are not getting all the crap that the FDA approves of in store-bought Staples! Cholesterol and blood pressure are utterly perfect! I, also, look for ways to get more protein in my diet. Type II Diabetic, 2 heart attacks, left leg amputated. Getting more protein and fibre is a daily mantra. I love the idea of putting the eggs in the blender - instead of whisking with a fork. But - it's mostly SALT that Chefs say to add at the last. Salt tends to be absorbed by whatever it's cooked with - to the point where you don't actually tasted it, anymore. So - you "adjust the seasonings" - and add more salt until you CAN taste it. And this can happen several times during cooking - 'til you finally have TOXIC amounts of salt in your food. So it's always better to add salt at the END of cooking. Like - when the meal is on the plate and each diner can add it to their own taste - or medical requirements. Along with Type II Diabetes - I also have Hypertension and Congestive Heart Failure. So I don't use salt at all - until the food is on my plate. And then I add only what I can loosely "pinch" between thumb & forefinger. A PINCH. But I use mostly herbs and spices for my flavouring. In your recipe, above - you already have salt in the cottage cheese - so you don't really need to add any with the other spices prior to cooking. But once you've plated it - and checked the finished dish for flavour - that would be the time to add just a tetch of salt. I know my situation is anything but normal - so I really do have to watch my salt intake like a hawk. There are others who don't. Stll - it's a good idea to watch one's salt intake - because issues like Hypertension can result from too much salt - and then you HAVE to stop using it. Better to get into the habit of not adding it 'til the food is on your plate.

Eggs are really good for us contrary to what has been pushed for many years. People worried about cholesterol and whatnot but they need to do some real research from reliable sources, not just the basic info from a medical or health site. Big pharma relies on the ignorance of others to keep the money flowing in.
I eat 5-6 eggs cooked in bacon fat or real butter for my first meal of the day after my 16 hour fast, I'm mainly Carnivore.
We try to be more carnivore also. It would
Be fine the night before
@CrystalsCleanKitchen ok, thank you! 👍🏼🙂
the "cottage cheese" I see at the supermarket is processed with many added ingredients not related to dairy. So I eat plain yogurt now to start my day
They do sell cleaner versions. Like Good Culture
You need to add black pepper. It helps you assimilate the vitamins and minerals in your food
I usually do
Looks really great i would cook them less
Thank you for watching
What temperature do you cook the eggs at? Preheat pan? Lower temp at end?
You should always preheat your pan and then I cook them at medium heat
Looks good but that is for like 3 adults, right?
Haha. Thanks. Nope all for me
Does it curb your hunger longer? I have been trying to figure out a way to get more protein without the carbs😊 thank you for sharing.
I would say yes because you’re adding more protein
Very delicious but too hard in South Australia to get clean cottage cheese 😢 it's full of additives, emulsifiers.
Crazy I did not know that I should have a recipe of how to make cottage cheese
❤❤
Thanks so much
I never saw you put the cottage cheese in.
I blended it first. So I put it in the blender and then added it
How do I know that I will like your video if I do not listen to it first before I say I like it?
You can wait till the end if you want that’s totally fine
I add chicken broth to eggs
Wow I haven’t tried that before
Will try that combo, thank you! Throw that toxic nonstick skillet away, though! I use cast iron, and I use grassfed tallow.😃
I know my husband has been bugging me too. We are waiting for a Thanksgiving sale to buy a whole new set.
No cast iron on ceramic stove top!!!
@@barbaracarlson1331I use my cast iron on my glass stove top and have for years.
@barbaracarlson1331 oh good point I think I was gonna go with a stainless steel pan
I can easily eat 5 eggs. Even 2 eggs is a pretty small amount once scrambled.
So true
Yeah, judging my the looks, you don't need 5 eggs in the morning. 3 would do just fine.
"This is not much food...". Yes,yes it is much food.
Also, it’s helpful to know that am crazy active. I walk about 30,000 steps a day
I thought you're not supposed to grease a non-stick pan. If you must though, use the butter. The oil is no good for you. Nice recipe though!
Technically, you don’t need to, but mine are kind of cold so it sticks. Oil is OK to use as long as you don’t work too hot
carb count would be nice. ty.
Three grams
@@CrystalsCleanKitchen thanks. 3g is awesome for that amount of food!!
@karronlaneNOLA for real
Doing all of this is way longer than 2 minutes. Then you also have to wash the blender. 😫
It looks good, but only for days off.
You could just use a fork it still will taste good
I love eggs as well and cottage cheese. Just not mixed together. Tried it and not for me. I prefer my cottage these cold and do however eat then side by side.
You’re right cottage cheese is super good, plain
Why does this scrambled egg give out water when made with only egg white? Because of cottage cheese?
Probably. sometimes different brands of cottage cheese have more liquid in them
I’m 65 years old and my doctor has never told me “eggs are bad” or don’t eat eggs…
Well, that is so good unfortunately so many doctors are not reading any of the newer studies that have come out I’m glad you have a good one
You're ruining the non-stick pan with that metal spatula...😮
I most definitely did not use a metal spatula
it did sound like it. i cringed lol
Don’t even own a metal one. But I am buying a stainless steel pan at Thanksgiving time
It’s a good thing it’s HER PAN then!
The spatula clearly is nylon or plastic. I mean, come on, you can actually see it.
There is no mention of the actual protein or carb percentages.
It has 3 carbs and 36 g of protein
