A littile bit of history on cannon rushing and creator. Creator and parting are good friends actually and just before going to millitary parting taught a lot of things about canon rushing to creator (creator said it himself) and it helped a lot him in one of the prior gsl seasons!
I've lost interest around HotS, and I'm still reeling that SC2 scene got so friggin good. Every aspect - the early/mid/late game development, the talent including world-class foreigners, amazing casters, the casting Archon divided and yet someone able to fill that void, only recently came along ZombieGrub who to me is so far GOAT of casters... and then this group. What in the actual F? Insane series of series.
57:38 that one marine just saw how all of his buddies got liquefied by banelings and he still managed to carry on with his mission and destroy the hatch. A true hero.

I have to say this. Even after getting beaten by Dark, Classic is the strongest Protoss in the tournament. He has a solid PvP and PvT. He may not be able to eliminate Zerg players easily but im sure he can reach quarter or finals.

Wow, this GSL is insane! Even as a Terran fan, I found the recent GSLs won by Maru kinda boring. His playing style was a bit boring but he's just too good. Once he's out, it's like GSL came to life. Classic's an innovator. Every game is also so much fun and unpredictable. Love it!
This was the most action packed, exciting series of matches that I've seen in a while! Every match was gritty and had me on the edge of my seat! Major props to those that advanced, but those that didn't also played some insane games! So much fun to watch, thanks for bringing it to USA for us :)
How Classis in 2nd game against Creator has eaten a couple of huge disruptor shots and still managed to pull that game of, is just beyond me...! Unbelievable, simply speaking
I have a balance idea. There needs to be a passive on probes you can right-click called, "harrass". When you turn it on, ai will take over and mine enemy minerals, plant manner pylons, cannon rush expansions, etc
Is this the best round of GSL all-time? Every series was phenomenal. Battlecruisers, tempests, dark templars, base trades, nydus worms, single swarm host harass, burrowed zerglings. These game were so good, so much originality, it was wildly entertaining. If not the best of all time, maybe the last great GSL series we'll see.
Spoiler alert….. Dark vs Bunny, it looked like Dark was playing a B rank Terran, just brutal, savage, rekt; absolutely taken down. And this is Bunny! He took down Serral less than a year ago at Dream Hack Atlanta.
As much as I like Bunny and I want him to do well, that Atlanta performance was certainly an outlier. Dark was massively favoured, I would have been shocked if Bunny had pulled off a win. Dark is also a much different beast than Serral, and I think his style counters Bunny's aggressive style much more than Serral's does.
What, the actual duck. Dark was consistently in the 500-700 APM moving up to 800-1100 apm for sustained periods in some of these fights. 1:17:54 just watch for the APM for 2 or 3 minutes.

Every match was INSANE. StarCraft continues to evolve every year and just when you think someone’s skill can’t get any better, you get these beasts like Dark and Classic in GSL and is SO cool to see
I wish we had more of Caster Park on stage for the interviews, I love that dude hahaha. I remember he used to interview them on stage and such, he is really entertaining to watch.
Damn this was absolutely amazing, so many various cool strats, this day had it all, macro, cheese, smart pushes, basedtrades, crazy! It looked like the new addon came several months ago an people trying new stuff, but the exuction was much better!

While it was kinda entertaining. And obv I'm an amateur so you can argue I don't have a right to say anything. I think the protoss players need to work on their end-game, i.e. clutching out games in winning positions with good decision-making. It felt like both Creator AND Classic (although Classic won the PvPs) didn't seal out games from positions where they definitely could have won due to little decisions or moments of impatience or what have you. Some examples imo: - if Creator follows up after his cannon rush more cleanly - has to keep in mind here his base is gonna mine out before Classic's new base, so he either needs to get ahead economically (tough with the void rays) or stop Classic *before* he sets up defense, imo - if Classic keeps his warp prism alive vs. Dark, builds another one quickly and stalls for it, or maybe even has a back-up pylon, or retreats with his immortals, or attacks the 3rd base rather than the natural (where units can basically come from both directions and if workers aren't killed, the zerg can easily come back because they still have productions - in the last game, if Classic doesn't go in so haphazardly with his army, letting his zealots get hit, then maybe he doesn't fall behind - but after that, if Creator recalls his *entire* army, or commits defense into 1 spot (a farther away base from where the warp prism warp-ins were happening) rather than splitting resources and stuff trying to defend different bases, I think he has a much better shot, and with a significant worker lead *AND* army lead at a point, the game dragging on is to his favor imo - and I think a pro should be able to gauge this situation decently enough with all the vision they have of both their own base and where their army is at And there are probably more examples, but I digress. While I want toss to do well, this doesn't really feel like clean, championship-level play right now. So I'm kinda hoping that both Classic and Creator look at these games and really trying to work on clutching out games against players who you usually can't afford to give any opportunity to come back. Maybe get some advice from sOs, idk, I feel like he might've won at least a couple of these games where Creator didn't, hahahaha
When Protoss units get dropped on/beside a building. They should make an attack happen. Like Zealots can hit anything when dropped, Immortals can hit a building, spectres/adepts can hit a unit, dark templar can hit a unit. Like the D.P.S. is so low you can never go for a base trade before 3-4 collossi with 2+ immortals or a whole fleet of carriers/tempests.
As I watched the opening PvP, I found myself praying for a protoss to go to the winners match. My head told me to stop being silly, but my heart didnt truly believe a protoss could make it so far…

Mannnn!! Creator just NEVER keeping up with upgrades.. so many games his army just loses bit by bit because he’s at a disadvantage. It’s so frustrating to watch! He seems so baffled when he loses
that ling at bunny's ramp wall was blocked out in time but he still died over the other side of the wall XD aw man if only creator went and brought the oracle all the way back to defend he could have held that attack :/ .... I think Bunny has been fine lately, maybe not championship quality like he was last year, but Dark was EVERYWHERE that first game.

APM is inflated massively by rapid-fire. Zerg numbers just look silly.
Classic, one of the Kings of protoss is slowly coming back to his max form. Stats will come back too.

Dark when producing one swarm host: There are no mistakes,only happy accidents.

Quality of games is just amazing. Burrow is so worth it for Dark, he has the APM.
