I do think Blizzard is making a huge mistake not supporting GSL. It has so much value and quality. All the players, Tasteless, State, and the production is top knotch. It's a great show and it belongs as UA-cam content. UA-cam themselves should give Afreeca more leeway for GSL. They've more than earned it. It's not like everyone can afford to go to Korea to see it. GSL is amazing!👍

I remember that PartinG solar game... I had such mixed feelings about it... I loved PartinG for figuring it out, and couldn't blame him a win is a win especially when money is on the line... but I felt SOOO bad for Solar for being beaten by the map makers lol.

It is pretty difficult to knock Dark out early. I'm pretty sure he is more consistent than Maru in getting to Ro4. Maru does occasionally drop out early, especially in foreign tourneys. Just that when Maru doesn't get knocked out early, he tends to win the entire thing.

The game is so fcking sad right now. Terran is so broken, that a Zerg or Protoss has to play multiple tiers above the Terran just to equalize. My game designer soul is crying with how unbalanced this race is. Terran is a pure cheat in this game that requires abysmal skills to compete with a Zerg or Protoss. A ZvT or PvT is like watching a 60kg high schooler fight against a 2m 120kg behemoth in the ring. The high schooler needs to be vastly superior in technique, while having trained his body to absolute perfection, reaching the limits of every single muscle fiber in his body, just to compensate for the base physical differences. Glad we got one such champ in this group. Hopefully we'll get Dark vs Classic in the finals.
If everyone who has watched as of right now donates 2 dollars per season, GSL will continue with far more money than needed. She still got a lot of years left, especially with the new rise of more RTS games!
It's hard to stop GSL in Korea. All that will do if they get desperate is push if into an online tourney like ASL. You can't stop GSL any more than you can stop the world from turning.
All map things are bad for zerg. It sucks. Pillars that don't work, destructible rocks always need to be taken down by zerg because zerg needs space, missing ramp rocks, etc. I want more things in maps that are bad for the other SC2 races.
Big maps with lots of base and distance are good for Zerg in general. Imagine a smaller map with short rush distance and less base from a couple years ago.
Alcyone is one of those maps that are always misread as a zerg map. Everywhere is a choke point(which serves only to block surrounds). Bear in mind they nerfed banelings without nerfing marines in a match-up that Terran already had the advantage.
Watching people commentary on ZvT be like "wow the fast, long ranged force somehow managed to beat the slow, close combat force, this player is a legend!"
