Lowko, I was sneezing, literally 1 sec before you said "bless you!" to Toby. It freaked me out for a moment 😂 made my day. Also, amazing cast of an awesome series!!
@@kosmosXcannon not only zerg though. He's a whole new level of SC player that there's only he's there. If we have A B C and S tier players, we have Serral at Serral tier, above all.
What a banger of a serie! That last game was just insane! Other than Serral's economy, the zergling squad cutting off the reinforcement won him the game.
So its obvious that Oliveira had prepared 8 rax all in to counter Serral strat. But what amazing is that Serral, within spans of 1 series, capable identifying and executed the counter of Oliveira's counter build at perfect timing.
one of the things he did is he doesn't just a-move his zerglings. He move command them deep into the terren army before starting to attack. This way the back zerglings do not derp around and they all do damage

Pff this was such a great series of games, incredibly close until the last minute! I've come to expect this level of play from Serral, but damn, Oliveira really impressed me here.
I feel like in Game 1 it was less that every fight went super well for Serral, his pushes were always expensive, but he had such a massive income advantage for so long that he could afford to do it over and over and by the time Oliveira managed to stop it the damage was kinda done. It felt to me like Serral was staying on Ling-Bane to just continously keep his foot on the gas and pressure Oliveira while stealing him blind.
It might have been worthwhile for serral to upgrade hatcheries in contested areas into lairs. The lair upgrade costs almost the same amount of money as a nuke and gives as much health as the nuke does damage.
With games like these, in a patch/map-pool that seems so pro-Terran, it's a little hard to say if... they need to nerf ling-bane again, or the problem is that they actually need to nerf Serral ._.
I dont know much about RTS apm but the last time i watched someone play and showing their pov the vast majority was them just shifting between 2 keybinds for 2 building to inflate their actions. does that happen a lot?
Love you Lowko. Would really enjoy checking in on the units/resources lost tab a little more often especially in G1, 2 and 3. I was super curious to see how efficient Seral is when trying to do the strats he went for. Thanks for the epic videos buddy.😊
33:05 "Serral needed a bit of luck that his proxy base wasn't gonna be found" I mean it got found the instant it finished :D On a huge map, i would say it was unlucky for it to be found so fast.
That first game was crazy, but I do think that lowko was exaggerating how much splash there was, bc Serral did a great job of not giving Oli the time or money to build enough tanks and libs. Maybe I’m just crazy but I never saw there being more than like two tanks or libs
Found it interesting how Serral didn't put his drones on the close mineral patches in the start of game 2. Feels like something one would do in the semi finals of a big tournament, is he just that confident or what's going on?
Havent seen a serral game in a bit, and man this guys still terrifying. Imagine you go to fight 10 zerglings in front of you and another army comes up from behind from a secret base, while 2 overlords are dropping in both your bases and he is burrowing and hiding shit in between your buildings.... i would just gg and leave XD
It's a shame that you can't choose which one you watch. I would love to see Serral play a game like this. So his point of view. But the fact that you can see it on the map is pretty cool. Oh and yes, you do it very well too, thank you.
I think the difference between Serral and other Zerg players like Reynor or Scarlett is that Serral isn't afraid to lose his army, if they'll accomplish the objective while dying. Scarlett would attempt that attack, but then realize there's tanks and widow mines, and try to back away, and lose all her banelings on the retreat while not getting the planetary. Serral can tell whether he has enough power to just go for it.
bruh... you got over 9000 likes from me for the cat purring into the mic. Sure, UA-cam only registers 1 of those likes, but there's 8999 more floating around that first one for you
He went liberators, but parasitic bomb, abduct and bile are very hard to deal with. Battlecruisers only work if you get a good amount of them before the opponent is prepared to deal with them, because corruptors are relatively easy to make and battlecruisers take a lot of time. And vikings are only really viable if the opponent is doing mass broodlords, and even them it is hard to deal with parasitic bomb.
I'm also not verry good at the game. But vipers were destroying the clumped up flying units. and without ghosts there is no counter to vipers. and ghosts need ground support.
You missed the last fight, where Serral obliterated all of Ollie's ground force, even with 4-5 libs in the air. With 1/3 of his army still chewing on the other side of the map
Finally, Serral figured out on his own what I was saying Zerg needs to do for years! When ahead, mine one of your opponent's base instead of throwing away the advantage by throwing units to the wall or just sitting and doing nothing.
Alright that got a like from me 20 seconds in, "I know the results of this series." then immediately having that hilarious bit when looking for the spawn in had me laughing so hard honestly I am terrible at Starcraft never could get the hang of all the multi tasking and resource management but I loved Protoss because I am a big fan of the Mothership unit and Colossus plus blink was always cool I love warping in stuff and the color is pretty but I love seeing high level long matches they're great to watch dinner to and it popped up in the feed.
The problem with Zerg is that it has an incredible high skill ceiling. People talking about Zerg being nerfed or has gotten weaker has to realize that most Zerg players aren't that good, Reynor especially. Back then Zerg is just OP, all you had to do is play fast, expand, defend with queens, spread creep etc. Once you out mine your opponent and mass enough bank, you can just mass produce, trade and repeat. But now you actually have to play skillfully, like scouting, pre split, react and micro. Zerg is still powerful, that's how Serral is able to stick with T1 units like Lings and Banes, destroying Marines, Marauders, Mines, Tanks and Planetary while still trading rather effectively. The nerf didn't affect Serral because despite Zerg was OP, he didn't play by just abusing Zerg advantage, he actually is playing proper SC2 by scouting, reacting and counter punishing
I mean... I dont like Terrans but I like Oliveira! He is really good, hat down. And Serral? Just being even more Serral :D Insane matches, this was some next level stuff :P
I love that no matter if you know the outcome or not, you always cast as if you dont know who wins. It's awesome.
He does it for the fans!!!!!!!
For really good match up, I hate seeing how much time there is left if I need to pause the game
That first game was purely Serral doing stuff that only works because he's Serral
For real! It is insane how crazy good he is. And how easy he makes it look.
Yeah honestly that game made no sense
Are you having trouble in your SC2 games? Just be Serral. It's that easy! Just be Serral, do Serral things, and everything will work itself out...
He's got the perfect unit composition and timing is flawless.
