- For this entire year I'm eating nothing but potatoes! Today was weigh in day and I'm also showing a clip from our appearance on the Sunrise breakfast show on channel 7. We had a great time doing this one!

Don't worry about comments from miserable people and focus on your journey and that journey might inspire and help others struggling with food addiction and over eating issues, but mostly focus on your journey.

+Jerry U I love the idea of her 30 day cleanse. Perhaps if i knew her group existed I would have done that instead but I was already over a month in by the time I'd heard of her so by then I just wanted to keep going...

How many potatoes do you eat roughly per meal ? I love these you and your wife are adorable ! I love seeing this from Canada and the language is very cheery and fun! I've recently gone raw in the last two weeks, just fruit, veggies and bananas, now I'm adding potatoes I was afraid of potatoes.
It's amazing how I've gone from not being able to stop eating to not craving meat fish dairy sweets or cooked food. Being winter though a warm potato would be nice!
+Adele Sand awesome work Adele! Potatoes come in so many shapes and sizes so i actually haven't bothered counting how many per meal. All i can tell you is I eat as much as I like, as often as I like with no restrictions on calories at all. Usually ends up at a minimum of 3 kgs a day, usually closer to 3.5kgs and sometimes 4.

+Bev Nelson Hi! Yes it is expensive! So I've just been eating fresh bananas frozen fruits cucumbers and tomatoes everyday with no restriction. About 10.00 a day in food. I buy the huge bags of fruit from Costco. Same thing everyday with vinegar and salt free seasonings. No fat, sugar,soy dairy, grains, wheat, but no restrictions on portions. I don't crave anything and I'm not hungry. However I have sometimes heated up my tomatoes just for something warm. So from today onward I'm going to have potatoes for dinner and see how that goes. So far I love the simplicity of it no pressure of crazy recipes, dishes and pans to scrub, or having to say no. I always thought potatoes were bad for you empty calories full of starch and carbs. Mr. Spud looks healthy though.
+Bev Nelson yes I do have a smoothies and I eat a banana while its blending, I read something about chewing food starting up digestive enzymes that you don't get from just drinking a smoothie. I've been contemplating straight potatoes too. I had already started this when I heard about the " spud man" on my local radio station.
+Spud Fit That's because you're now getting your main source of energy from starch - in your case potatoes, the near-perfect food. The starch turns to glucose which fuels your body slowly with the sugar that it needs for energy throughout the day as opposed to the spikes of a fruitarian-type diet. I learned these facts from Dr. McDougall and his best selling book, "The Starch Solution." He very much praises the potato as the only food a person really needs to live on, almost 100%. It's good that you eat sweet potatoes, too, for a good source of vitamin A. Keep up the great work!!
Hi, just wondering what you are drinking these days? Tea, coffee or just water and the odd beer? Also what do you add to your mashed potato? Might give it a go for a couple of weeks and try and lose a few kg's as well as take back some control from over eating, keep up the good work.
+nivag63 I've never liked tea and coffee so I don't drink them anyway. I've got nothing against them from a health point of view though, especially tea. For me it's just water and the odd beer. Good luck!
+nivag63 I usually put in a bit of garlic and onion powder some calcium fortified soy milk with my mash.
Just heard you on rte radio!! Glad the "carbs are bad" fad is finally disappearing! ! do you think youll stay on a plant based diet after this?
Yes I've been vegan for around 8 years but too much junk. I hope to be a more healthy, while foods plant based eater. Only time will tell...

+PlantTheSeed no oil, nothing fatty. I've done one episode of the spud fit cooking show and I plan on doing one every week if I can get enough ideas!

I think our body weight fluctuates by 1-3kg on a daily basis from water/food/fluids etc. but still - awesome vid
+row0111 yes that's why I weigh myself as soon as I get out of bed in the morning, hoping to minimise the fluctuation by doing it always at the same time...
Do you add salt, seasonning etc...

This resonates with Eric Bergs narrative on weight loss - that one should get healthy, and then the weight loss would happen naturally. Its interesting that Eric Berg uses the ketonic diet and intermittent fasting for this purpose, which is a totally different system, but the results seem to be the same for those wanting to gain control over their eating habits, get healthier and lose weight in the interim...

Ha ha Dani - anytime we meet new people I (his wife) remind him to be more animated and smile! It's not because he isn't happy, it's just because he's the most laid-back, even-tempered person you'd ever meet :)

+Duncan Margetts I'm sorry, I had a USB in my hand and I was absent mindedly pulling the lid off and on, I didn't realise I was doing it until the end and I don't like to re-record things. It feels less authentic to me that way. I'll try not to do it agin!
