Diana could own what White people thought was theirs as well as what Black R&B artists could do with that unique tone, so she got backlash from both groups, just like Whitney did. I LIVE for the 80's 'Whitney' era, it will always be my favorite time in her career & Whitney in her frizzy extensions is my absolute fave. When the MOT truth tour went over seas she got longer extensions put in. I just loved how youthful and playful they were on her and how they moved on their own and with the wind. It's weird the things I notice (like that orange and blue dress. I love it on her and there are lots of photos of her in it) and love about this woman. Endlessly fascinating.
