Whitney wanted to sing. She didn’t like all the fame and lost of privacy. She had no idea.

I love this interview. She was such a beautiful lady even without make up. I learn 3 things from this interview:
    - know yourself and love yourself before enter in the business: Sadly she got lost with all that fame.
    - She said that her family was her foundation: sadly they betrayed her many times
    - when you sing from your heart and your soul, people will feel it.
    Rest in peace beautiful Whitney!

Awww, she was so sweet. Back when labels were actually interested and invested in creating potential superstars. Man, I haven't heard that term in a minute - *_superstar._* Anyway, cute interview. Ah, the late 80's...

Yes! You're right ! It actually took more than 2 years to make Whitney's first album, just to tell you they knew they had diamond, not gold but diamond in their hands. So Clive Davis had asked his Best songwriters from the east to the west coast to write songs for Whitney. He wanted the Best for her because he really believed in her talent and boy, was he right! The rest is History. May she Rest in Peace. Whitney, I would like you to know (wherever you are) that you are deeply missed and to me, you were, are and will always be The Best Singer that has ever walked on this planet, period! This is the end of December of 2020, going on the year 2021 and I'm still listening to your music just to hear your Voice that could've been given by the Angels and I'm also admiring your true natural Beauty because you were a beautiful woman, my goodness. God had blessed you with The Voice which was as beautiful as a diamond and The Looks of A Goddess. ✌

She had a very distinctive way of speaking, just like Dionne and Tina Turner, unique speech patterns that only they seem to have. The actresses who played her still haven't gotten that right.

Dark Feather AGREED. I think there should only be WHITNEY documentaries with REAL footage and interviews of this Queen. NO ONE can portray her correctly. Her poise, her genius, her beauty, her charisma just UNMATCHED.

Yes, well, she loved her family and said they were her foundation. Her damn family let her down. Whitney's mom and dad made her drug addicted brothers employees, her dad put them on the payroll even when she wasn't touring. Her dad embezelled money from her and accused her of not paying him later on when he wasn't hired to negotiate her contract. Not to mention her crazy ass husband and his nutty sisters. Sheesh, Whitney's foundation sunk her.

Once again, thank you for posting rare gems like this. Honestly, this might be one of the best early interviews I’ve seen. Such a great flow and she’s so calm and collected...Feel like she opens up in a different way here answering the questions. Interesting how she mentioned you have to know who you are before you step into the business...she made that statement in so many interviews. The business is cut throat and it was a fight to be “normal.”

She was a normal human being. Yes, she exhibited much poise and elegance in her interviews and singing engagements and otherwise. But like anyone, those she trusted like The Houston Family, she would show her normal human vulnerability, and lay upon her mom's shoulder exhausted by the hardships of public life.
The ensemble musical talent before the concerts would pray to The Lord with rejoicing.
Simply, a down to earth lady, with such simplicity and heartfelt intelligence along with her God Blessed talents.
    Peace.

Thank GOD for folk like Whitney Houston, as a public figure.
While I do miss her, like so many, I do mourn with hope, "It's Possible," a line from a song she sang with Brandi.
Just like others among her start, "The Sweet Inspirations," like her brother Gary who married her sister in law Patricia, Whitney simply truly deeply strived to give all she could to Children's and other charities. In October 2011 she spent much time at a Teen Center, (also sponsored by Tyler Perry, just not there that day->) with many others in The Church At: South Carolina sponsored event. Lots of pictures and video here: @t
Link to youtube here: (Whitney Houston At Teen Summit) @SvmQ
In the early and later interviews, and all along she gave credit where credit is due. She thanked the Savior Jesus The Sole Not Made Begotten, Beloved Anointed One, The True Messiah. "Yes, Jesus Loves Me," it's the Children's laughter that remind us of how we used to be, "The Greatest Love Of All," "My Love Is Your Love," "Step By Step," "I Look To You," "I Love The Lord," and so many songs as she truly did her best in life to share how much The One True God Truly Benevolent Powerfully All Knowing & Seeing Cares and Strengthens each one of us, for GOD's Impartial Ways.
    ~
Personally, I'm not so sure regarding her last breath last heartbeat into the hereafter, but I will not speculate, as I was not there with any specifics.
We are each supposed to confidently build one another up in charitable loving kindness sharing the good things.
Yes, I do know, in all due respect to the odd circumstances of her last days, with many witnesses that knew her best and her in videos showing her honest down to earth glad to be alive self, that no one knows for complete surety what exactly happened, as well, as what happened to Bobbi-Kristina.
GOD ONLY KNOWS, but I'm sure, not, of course, excusing my past mistakes, which were harmful to myself & others, with a poor influence; whereas anyone made in the image an likeness of God does desire the basic human need of acceptance, belongings, mutual understanding & supporting one another, Jesus The Savior received her into Heaven to be Loved by God, to Love God, cheerfully doing God Knows Best Will, for anyone who will accept. GOD Need no Praise from me, but Is Praiseworthy, so Praise The Lord, rejoice!
