    Ah, 1990... The good ol' days. Singing and only singing is all I cared about. It didn't matter what you looked like, what you wore, etcetera. March 8, 1990 so that means I was 4 years old. Anyway, she was so pretty and clean-cut. She truly cared about the well-being of other people. I believe that 100%. She was beautiful inside and out. And that voice... Please. One of a kind.

      I think that is something that people overlook way too much because it isn't as dramatic as drugs. Whitney indeed cared about others. Not for personal gain, but because she had a big heart. Now we see just how many took advantage of her big heart, but she still gave of herself despite the leaches in her life. She wasn't someone who did it for publicity because she didn't need to.

    I wish Whitney could have did that gospel album. The Preacher's Wife soundtrack was the closest we ever got to a gospel album from Whitney. Towards the end of her life, Whitney went back to her gospel/church roots with "His Eyes Is On the Sparrow" in Sparkle and "Jesus Loves Me" at Kelly Price's Grammy party during her final days. I believe we would have gotten a gospel album if she didn't die.

SHE DID IT BUT I KNOW THAT THAT WAS NOT AN EASY CROSS TO BEAR ESPECIALLY BEING A BLACK WOMAN IN THAT PARTICULAR INDUSTRY! BUT SHE WAS BEYOND STRONG AND GOD HAD HER IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND! MATTER WHAT CATEGORY. OR GENRE U PERCEIVED. IT TO BE! THERE. IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOMEONE TALKING ABOUT U BE IT NEGATIVE. OR POSITIVE. @@antper8174 our community has a history of self destructiveness.... much of it is rooted in jealousy and poor mans mentality. Whats ironic is that Whitney paved the way for black female pop stars to come right after her. Mariah Carey was right on her heels with her first album and it TOO had similar vibes as Whitney's first few albums...... "commercial". Mariah was a crossover hit from the beginning just like Whitney. And no one said a word about it. The most successful black female singers sing what I call "everybody" music. Music that EVERYONE could enjoy. It's like....what a concept.... music that UNIFIES us... instead of music that seperates us. So sad that WE didn't support her from the outset. But now that she's gone those SAME crabs in the bucket claim they miss her and that she was the best female vocalist😒🙄

  • @may5588
    @may5588 3 роки тому +3

    She said doing great songs make a great singer. So no. They manipulated her to think that. That’s what her manager told her. She was so young when discovered by him and swooped up into the industry. She did not have a chance to understand the power of her gift. Her anointing. Doing great songs does not make a great singer. The singer makes the song great. So it’s God who does the handiwork and God makes the singer great because God gave Whitney her gift.🕊🕊…….

Because after she and Mike put their VOCAL MAGIC TOGETHER, everything would've CHANGED! Believe me, as a MARRIED TEAM, Nip & Mike really would've DOMINATED that pop music game, as the ORIGINAL KING and QUEEN of POP!! Oh gosh, they would've BROKE AWAY from those white-owned music labels and went off and started their own FAMILY MUSIC LABEL!! Oh yeah, Nip & Mike would've raised their own SHOWBIZ DYNASTY of future performers and BUILT their own FAMILY SHOWBIZ EMPIRE!
