Thanks so much Carol!
For being out of your comfort zone, it’s certainly hard to tell, Kathleen! Very creative, as always. Feel better soon. ❤
Thanks very much Julie! I appreciate you!
Well, that filing cabinet was a stroke of genius! I love mysteries too - It will be fun to follow along! XO
Thank you so much Dody!
Oh . my gosh, this sounds like so much .fun and you have a great handle on it . Have fun with it.
Oh love the idea of a mood board before starting crafting something big.
I’m glad you like the idea of a mood board. Thanks so much for watching. I find these helpful with some journals. Here is a link to my explanation of how I do what I call a concept journal…you might find this useful too! A Concept Journal? - What is That? ua-cam.com/video/JF3a_ZQijck/v-deo.html
Wonderful layout. The file cabinet is amazing. It looks like you will be having some fun with this challenge 😊.
Yes - I do think so Evie! It’s been fun already actually. Thank you for coming by! I appreciate you.
Love the file cabinet idea. So creative
Thank you Sheila!
Fabulous start to your case file, Kathleen! I, too, love British mysteries and historical fiction!
Thank you Lorna - I am soooo behind now on this. Not sure it will get finished…yikes.
Kathleen, I absolutely LOVE your casebook, and that file cabinet is FABULOUS! What a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad you joined us!
Thank you Christy! I’m having a lot of fun, but it is a challenge for my brain too, haha!
I love how you always tackle a challenge with brilliance! The file cabinet is so cool and I could imagine it being in a darkly lit office! Have a great day and I hope you feel much better soon!
Yay - so glad you think I hit the mark Sheryl, thank you!
Your off to a great start, your imagination and creativity will get you through it. Take care, hope you feel better soon. 🙏☺️
Oh thank you Bront! I appreciate your encouragement! ☺️

I’m glad Patti! Thank you for watching!

Thank you Sioned! I do think this will be fun - something different for me, for sure.
This is so cool. I love mysteries. What a great way to set this up. Hugs, treen 💕💕💕
Thank you 🤗
This is an intruiging project, l'll look forward to following your progress 🤩
Thanks so much Davina!
Bravo Kathleen!!! I have never heard of this type of "case file" journal, not quite sure what it all entails. I think your foggy sinus brain is doing quite well. Your file cabinet and file folders are just genius, you know that's going to get "cased". Looking forward to this series. Hugs and hope you feel better soon.
Thank you Ina! I’m glad to have you follow along!
Terrific fun! Kathleen Mower, P.I. I love the genre you chose. 🕵🏼♀️
Thanks so much Dawn! Do you have PI kinds of journals posted anywhere?
@@BeAgainBooks No, I’ve never done one ... yet. 😉
Kathleen, what an awesome project. I love the case book. Of course a filing cabinet must have a bunch of file folders open at once. Sorry you have been unwell and hope things turn around for you soon. Feel better ❤
Thanks so much Alice and for the validation, haha! I’m glad you came by!
How fun is that! Love the whole idea of this and I love the file folder that you created. Take care of yourself!
Thank you Dorothy!
I’m not a mystery-type person, but you have really piqued my interest! I LOVE watching you create!! Your file cabinet idea is SO COOL 🤩!!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you came by!
This looks like a very cool project. I’ll be following along for sure❤
Thanks so much Michele!
Wow! This is definitely a new type of journal for you, Kathleen. Something to really kick your creativity and imagination into overdrive. You’re off to a brilliant start in my eyes! Just trying to organise a structure for such different reasons is huge. Well done on your thinking process! I’ve never seen a folder like the one you chose as the base, and it’s great! The filing cabinet with the drawer opened and filing spaces is amazing! I hope you’re feeling much better soon. Our younger son has health issues at this time of year, too, as we progress into autumn. His asthma and now a chest infection has laid him low for over a week now. Hopefully, he’ll be feeling well enough to return to work next week. Take care, dear friend! Love and big hugs! 😀💞
haha…Yes it really is a departure Keryn! It is challenging me, but it is also really fun to do something so different. Thanks so much for the encouragement! Wow, I’m so sorry for your son and send sympathy and best wishes for a complete recovery!
Well that’s interesting. I have made a junk journal out of an old mystery book, but this sounds like a fun twist
I’m glad you think so! Thanks for watching!
Kathleen, I love mysteries and I love your detective book sooo much. I might have to make me one. Thanks for the video. ❤
Go for it Sandy! Thanks so much for watching.
Hope you feel better soon! This is soooo interesting. There really are no limits to creativity. I have several of these file folders and never thought about how I could use them in journaling! look forward to following the process. 💕
Thank you Sharon - I appreciate that!
This looks so fun!😊❤️
I think it will be Susan! Thanks for watching!
So sorry to hear you've not been well! I missed you. Take care and get all better, looks like the new project will be fun.
Thank you Marion! This season will pass, haha - it does every year. But I love spring! So glad to be out from under the coldest weather. Thanks for watching.
Kathleen: love your mystery case book. What a clever idea. I love the British mysteries too. That file folder page is outstanding. This is going to be fun. Carol from California
Thank you Carol!
Pretty neat idea!!❤
Thank you Regena!
I love your videos so much! I can't wait to start junk journaling myself. Thank you for so much inspiration :)
You are so welcome Tilda! Thanks for watching.
I really like this idea. I bought a book from DT a year or so ago that is based off of the TV series Twin Peaks. These would work well together. Growing up I watched the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. Shaun Cassidy was my first crush.
Nancy Drew was the best! I should go back and read them all again! Thanks for watching!
Kathleen, I love it!! As soon as I saw you thumbnail, my imagination took off. I, too, have always loved mystery books and intrigue (but not gory, please). And Flim Noir is another favorite of mine, so I am looking forward to your series making this "solve the case" journal. I love what you've done so far and the two pages you've decorated are looking great. That file cabinet is genius. Now I'm going to have to go to Christy's channel and check this out. I am so sorry that you are having allergies, and I am right there with you, so I can emphasize. My husband has joined me in it, too. We are hoping we're better soon and hope that for you as well and that the worst is over for you.
Oh thank you my sweet friend! I appreciate the sympathy - we will all feel better when the wind quits blowing a gale, I’m sure. Thanks for following along, I always am happy when I see your name.
This is fantastic Kathleen! What a fun project! That file folder idea was definitely worth a sleepless night! I actually just purchased a lady detective kit and am putting together ideas for a journal. My favorite books to read are culinary mysteries and my favorite author for these is Diane Mott Davidson. Thanks for the inspiration and I'm really going to enjoy your journey with this!🥰
I love Diane Mott Davidson! I’ve read everything of hers in the library, haha. Thank you Nancy, I’m glad you came by!

It will be so much fun to watch your process on this one. Brilliant idea. Coincidentally, I just finished all 7 books in Cara Devlin's incredible Bow Street Duchess Mystery Series, set in Regency Era England (c. 1819).
Thanks so much - I’m glad you’ll follow and thanks for the reading tip - I will go check it out! I especially love the British series!
Oh my, this is amazing and it must be so much fun for you to try and think of different ideas to go with your theme! 1930s noir would be my choice too! I can see you have already put so much thought and planning into this and it looks amazing Detective Mower! How funny that I woke up, couldn't get back to sleep and saw this video just before 4am! I better go check out Christy;s work! I hope you are feeling better soon - allergy season is not fun and i have nad sinus and get it throughout the year here so I can sympathise. Be kind to yourself xx
Thanks for the sympathy Gemma - I’m sorry you suffer it as well! This journal really is kind of fun. Yes, I’m putting (probably too much) thought into how this will work…meanwhile I’m keeping my notes in a plain, old school tablet, haha. I’ll transfer it all when I get it figured out in my mind. There are a LOT of organizational aspects…yikes!
@@BeAgainBooks I do things like that with the planning too! There must be so much involved! My mama loves the types of mysteries you were describing as well 😃 I look forward to playing detective with you!
❤
Thanks so much Karen!
I started looking in Nov for digital crime anything and you are right, there really isn't much on the market for crime journaling.
Like where you are going with the folio. 😊
I know! Perhaps I am picky, but I’m glad I’m not alone, haha! Thanks so much for stopping by!
p.s. the file cabinet is brilliant.
Aww - thanks Dawn!
Have you ever read the Maisy dobbs series? I love listening to the audio books while I work on journals.
Oh yes, they are lovely!
I wonder if someone will find this in 100 years and decide you were a private detective 😊! Maybe it will be the basis of a series like Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries 😊😊😊
Hahaha - perhaps. I cannot see my children keeping these that long, haha. 😆
@@BeAgainBooks - Someone will buy them in an estate sale, and they’ll inspire someone else anew 😊
@@iikidzmomMine Perhaps you are right Paige! I appreciate that!
