Nas stated on his FB account that that guy who offered him food was unemployed for a while. And that day was his first salary for his new job so he wanted to share his blessings. I'm a Filipino and I love how everyone is reacting positively for the video and for looking into it in a much deeper perspective. Thank you so much! :)
Angelina, My first trip to Philippines ever was this year. I met my fiancée there. She is from a decent province, but they have very little material goods. But she and her family are very hospitable and loving. I agree with the gentleman's 8 day experience. There is a lot of poverty, and people's wages are quite low. But their love of family and contentment with very little is very refreshing. Much of that I attribute to their faith. I also enjoy your reactions to Dimash😀
Robert Bohling I actually see most of male Americans with female Filipinos, which is understandable since no matter how hard life is for them, their family is top priority than money. My mother is Filipino and she spends a total of 700$ for my medicine each month and this sickness which is seizure was with me for 8 years and yet she never complain about spending that much money for me.
Nas really did a good job. People in the Philippines are so resilient and naturally happy inspite of difficulties so most tourist forget the fact that PH is a also third world country.
I super like that. Life there is hard, but still people are friendly and loving. There's a lot of love in the Philippines. Thank you for reacting. Children are my soft spot.
We filipinos are very touch for everything this makes me cry a lot while watching videos like this praising our country and giving us heads up for the hospitality we filipinos offer to all foreign friends. Thank you very much and really appreciate the effort to react the vid and Nas thank so much we filipinos treated everyone as family even foreign people and hope all of you can visit our country I am sure you all be happy and feel warm with filipinos love😊
That's how I'm proud to be a Pilipino..We may not have material things in life but we have a ready smile for everyone. The best part of this video is even in extreme poverty people are still laughing and enjoying themselves...Thank you for your reaction...
I would love to watch all ur reaction videos even how old it is because it is really good and overwhelming to see people reacting about my country 💖 and yeah its true that 25% here is in a poverty but even how poor we are even how hard the life here we're still smiling still positive and willing to help other in need, the spirit of Filipino people is more powerful we never give up even how hard the situation is 💖💖💖
yes its true many people in Phil who live in poverty.but they're the one who are happy. i came from a poor family too here in phil but i can say im thankful bcoz i have a loving family and no matter what we stick together through happiness and sadness
People in philippines even rich nor poor still can live with smile specially poor people.....and most people of the philippines have a soft and warm heart...
Hi, i love the reaction very genuine. Im a filipino and that is true that 25% of the population is in poverty level. Thanks and god bless for the both of you... 😀
love your reactions. the video is true. poor but very hospitable country. the people here will feed you even if they have so little. friendship here is so true. come. I'll treat you to jollibee. new subscriber here.
Philippines is truly full of love because we Filipinos hate to see our families struggle . There three personality in us a that will never change one in that we are nice two joyful and three is that we care . I know even though you think that our culture is kinda weird nothing could change it .I am a proud Filipino
I have lived in the Philippines for about 8 1/2 years and this is pretty accurate. There are poor people everywhere, but although poor you can see a smile on their face every day.
Filipinos were known for being hospitable...poverty and crime are also rampant in our society....and the blogger who upload this video is so correct...that despite all of these...the people itself was the greatest wealth that this country have...filipinos are loving, hospitable ,and very generous...if u can see on Darren's concert...He always gives an extra time for the poor...coz that is what many flipinos are needing...a food for their plate in every meal...and thats also the reason why an artist here in the phil...should always keep their feet always on the ground coz many are observing and watching every step u are taking...every single mistake or even a single rejection/neglecting a fan from a poor member ..it is one good reason to say goodbye to your career....that is why filipino artist are well desciplined...
That's why "food fight" in the Philippines is A LOT different from the once school kids do in the US. Anyway, I really do hope that you can visit The Philippines.
I am from the philippines and i can tell you that we treat each other like family even if your local or a tourist the Philippines can be your home and the pilipinos can be your family
Hope you visit the PHI soon and make a video like this. And once you get in here in the Philippines I promise you, you will discover a lot more beautiful places more than that.
One of the reasons that it's cheaper in the Philippines is for every dollar it's equivalent to 50 pesos. So a dollar goes a long way in the PI. Filipinos are well known for their hospitality, generosity, And would make very good best friends. As the saying goes BFF (Best Friends Forever)
If you go to philippines talk to locals as much as you can we like it that way ...at first we are so shy but if we know that you like to us too you will get lots of friends there
Philippines is the Center of Marine Biodiversity. With more than 7000 Islands, many of those destinations will require domestic plane ride, bus, pedicab, taxi even boat ride. Realistically it is still cheap compared to other country destinations. Yet many locals haven't been to those featured places. 8 days is too short. Philippines is not a tour and go back home kind of place. It is more like coming home to your family where leaving can be a tough decision.
we Filipino's always smiles and laugh even in bad times., being friendly and kind to others is what our parents teach us.,we might be small but we have a big heart.,and if we became friends. we will stay with you no matter what happens., we always make our friends smile and laugh even in bad times.,we make fun on anything that's why were tough.. BTW god bless and pls visit the Philippines to see it your self.. lots of love^_~•
He is a foreigner that is why the people are very helpful. If an ordinary Filipino is lost in a place like that, it would take a very long time before someone offers any help.
If you ever decide to visit the Philippines, let us know and I am sure a ton of folks would be happy to show you around. Experience all that is good and nice, but also the not so pleasant things. That will give you the full experience, and for many, doing so literally changes their perspective in life. Oh and be prepared for the inevitable post-Philippines depression that sets in for a few days or weeks XD .
He doesn't get the Philippines Tagline which is "It's More Fun In The Philippines" . Even though there is 25% Filipinos live in the Poverty Line doesn't mean it's not fun, because the tagline's true meaning is the Filipino's Hospitality and Happiness to the Tourists. So that's the True Meaning of "It's More Fun In The Philippines". #ProudlyFilipino #ProudlyAEngelian #GogogoAngelina&Alicia
Philippines is a cosmopolitan country.. Beautiful scenery and majestic tall skylines similar to your country USA.. But what bothers people who watch this video is the extreme poverty of 25 % of the population. Where the suppose better livelihood that should be given, where being grabbed away from them by this sinister public politicians... Especially in the last regimes...but I think now.. It's been likely phasing for a better and improving government. It's even soaring high in the GDP...it reaches almost 7 % increase in the whole south east Asia.it will slowly uplift and alleviate the poverty line. Thank you Mr. President Rodrigo Duterte.
manny lee I totally agree with you. It's been 6-7 years since our GDP is one of the fastest among our Asian peers. With our current president every Filipinos knows what discipline is all about...greetings from a proud filipino- Canadian here in Vancouver, BC :)

As a filipino money doenst really important to us although we also need money but what we are really need is love and understanding we are happy for a simple living we have .
Bet ya..you gonna love Philippines if go check it yourself, blue, white, sandy beaches everywhere in the island, but most all,you will experience the amazing hospitality of the locals,as yo walk on streets, malls anywhere,Filipinos smiles, always happy despite the fact of the hard, tough, life of some other filipinos, that aint really the reason for them not to smile & have fun, Dont think so...cause we are filipinos & proud to be one, you know thats us, its really in the countrys culture. Try to approach filipino & right away you will feel the kindness, friendly, kind of shy answer that you will experience. No bull.

They have practically nothing, yet so much to give - smile, hospitality, generosity, happiness and positive attitude.
Nas really did a good job. People in the Philippines are so resilient and naturally happy inspite of difficulties so most tourist forget the fact that PH is a also third world country.
