I lived there for a year as a child and it was the most memorable trip ever. I returned 11 yrs ago with my mom as hs graduation gift. It was still awesome but I was more aware and it changed how I viewed things in my life. We stayed in a farming town where my folks made friends when we lived there. A 3 month trip made realized just how privileged I was. I was able to go to school, have a roof on my head, buy whatever I want and eat 3 meals a day compared to most of the folks I met. They had nothing yet offered us food and their company. Most of all they always smiled. They were happy with very little meanwhile we have so much in the US but most of us are unhappy. When I gave away tsenelas ( sorry for the spelling) they were so happy but it made me sad. I ended up spending 90% of my trip $ buying them much needed items. I came back to the US and changed my major that benefits others too. No regrets. It was a very humbling experience. And when I finally had a steady job, I send yearly boxes filled with educational materials.
Been there so many times....The Philippines is an amazing country. People are so nice as I have been all over the world. Anne Lee, I like your comments about being better and better....A country with such great potentials........Hope the best for all Filipinos!
P Jones thank you so much, that means a lot to us filipinos, just please don't believe in the mainstream media local and international about what they were saying to our president because he was really are hope to achieve a brighter future for our country, there were peoples who goes there in america and spread lies just to ruin the integrity of our president because they are corrupt and they were afraid that one day they will go to jail.
mark72141 As an immigrant who moved here in the States when I was 8, 11 years ago with my family I’ve never taken granted for what I have. When people complain about their lifestyle here I always look back home and see how much worse people have it there and how lucky people are here.
I've been to the Philippines twice now and can say that it is truly incredible. The first time I went for 15 days, got engaged to my wife during that time. I had brought $1000. I ended up coming home with money. The 2nd time was this past January, for our daughters baptism. Lol, I only brought $300, for 2 weeks stay. Again, came home with money. It's really something else over there, and at first a cultural shock. I love it! You two will both love it I'm sure. Ummm, a warning though, the food is incredible!
That's the reality. Philippines is a third world country but our greatest asset would always and always be our people and it makes life in a third world country more bearable than living in the most powerful country in the world.
KA arts, actually that's wrong, 1st world originally meant the U.S. and its Allies after WW2 that were capitalist in nature, 2nd world was those countries under the Soviet Union and were Communist in nature(Russia, Eastern Europe, China, etc.), and 3rd world are all the other countries not aligned with either NATO(US and allies) or the Communist bloc. But yes, the definition changed, not because it's integral meaning changed, but because people have become familiar with categorizing 3rd world countries as "poor". 3rd world countries have been known to be "poor" because 3rd world countries are countries formerly occupied or colonized by 1st world countries and most only achieved independence in the late 1800s(like the Philippines in 1898.....but not really because we were sold to the U.S. before we drove out Spain) or the mid 1900s, therefore, their economy and government are actually very young and therefore are still naturally developing, while 1st world countries who had been occupying and colonizing other countries have built up their wealth and had time to develop for centuries at the expense of their colonies. We lost 400 years of building our nation when Spain, the U.S., Japan and the U.S. again occupied us, so it's only natural we have a lot of poor people when all we had as a template for a government was a self-fulfilling one where personal interests of foreign colonizers came first before the nation. I am sorry for politicizing this, i'm just a bit tired of 1st world countries blaming us 3rd world countries for the mess they left behind.....anyway, please have this potato.
that's was a great video, highlighting not only the best part but even the reality which is poverty and yes we belong to the 3rd world country but the most amazing part is our people, we didn't lose hope, we always see the bright side in every situation... we used to smile to share the good vibes and love everyone... Indeed its more more LOVE in the Philippines.... mabuhay😊😊😊
Lets help Hott sam and Hug knuckle.. let's find sponsors for them so they can visit us here in the Philippines soon as possible.. pleasee.. i think they are most real Pinoy video Reactors in youtube,, their emotions and love for pinoys is real... I LOVE THEM A LOT!
how hottsamn cried made me feel her extreme liking and love for the Philippines. it's so genuine of you when your tears fell, it translated how you're a Filipino at heart - you have been appreciating Filipino talents, tourists spots and hopefully, soon, you'll get to experience Filipino culture. ❤
Poppy Gonzales..... Everybody wants to be.... poppy? hihihi On a serious note, you might be right. I've experienced that too. I think there are other Filipinos out there who would really do the things we saw in the video. If you haven't, try going to the provinces, especially in some parts of the Mountain province and the mountainous parts of Abra. Like what you've seen in the video, he asked about 7 guys before someone offered him his place to stay. I've experienced both the good and the bad side of being a Filipino. I just don't wanna generalize.
Poppy Gonzales that's not always true. even if I am a Filipino, I got help from other Filipino who doesn't even know me. Maybe you can look at the perspective that there is a lot of people that's involve in scams nowadays thats why they are so cautious and like that.
For them it is cheap but for us Filipinos it is expensive. Fare, hotels, food and tour packages are expensive. Vacation for the average filipino family means saving not just your 1 month salary but 3-6 months of salary. Some won't even have the chance to do so. The problem in the Phils is we have a lower rate of salary and high tax percentage. Anyway hope to see you soon here in the Phils, thanks for appreciating the beauty of our country! ❤️😘
Our tag line "It's More Fun in the Philippines" is true. Life is not always easy there. But the people's resiliency, love for each other, and being happy people makes all the difference. It's "cheap" there when you're earning "dollars" but for people who actually live there, it isn't that "cheap" in some aspect. I moved here in the US for almost 2 years now. Regardless of what I have now, where I am now, I still miss home. For those of you who are in the Philippines, lucky you. I'm not generalizing - but lucky you. Simple life, family, friends.. happiness that money can't buy. I miss home 😊 see you Philippines 🇵🇭 in 2018!!
I think, as a Filipino, when you say that "It's more fun in the Philippines," by all means everything. Filipinos are resilient people. We know how to make grave situations comparably lighter and enjoy the good things that comes out of it no matter how small. We embrace positivity even when the negative is all around. Although it's true that "There's more LOVE in the Philippines" is a good catchphrase but the current (More Fun) is still a lot better. That moment when you said only 75% of the Philippines is more fun, i felt mixed emotions. It's a sad truth, a reality faced not only in my country but all over the world. When you said that, it felt like you're stripping them of their right to happiness, I don't know if it's vaguely from our different description of what fun is, but at that moment I felt you're denying them their own views.
english speaking love talking to foreigners theyre initially shy but once an effort is done to connect filipinos love the company of people who are new to the country
i just lost my husband because of stroke and cardiac arrest. now,it's just me and my 3 yr old son. u guys just dont know how u've helped me. u make me smile and lightens up my mood. whenever i feel sad, ill just go to your channel. i love the way u love the Philippines and the Filipinos and i just love u guys. thank u very much. more power to u both. and sam, may i just say.. u are soooo pretty girl. lots of hugs and love from the Philippines..
Denz Valen they should provide trash bins inside of jeepneys to at least minimize street litter because some jeepney drivers doesnt want to provide even a tiny bit of money because they also need it .
exactly but even if the littering bin or trash can is right beside to them or 10 feet away, still we litter guys and that sucks co'z we make it as a hobby
Awwww!!! I feel all your emotions and feelings while watching this. Thank you for the love to the philppines and to the filipino people. #proudtobepinoyhere
thank you very much for having so much love for our country, the genuine love you are showing us through your videos,,,,, you both guys are amazing and one more things that, amazed me the most about the two of you is that you are now also having the kind of heart we Filipino have,,, inspite of all the hardship most of us Filipino are facing,,,, it never changes our heart,,, we will never stop smiling and never stop loving,,, Godbless you both we Filipinos love you very much
im humbled by how sam tears up when Filipino generosity was tackled. in a country where 25% of the population, mind you we are over 101 million to date, live on and under the poverty threshold and 17 % of that 25% get by with just a dollar for a family of 6 per day, most of the citizens know or knew how to have nothing. That makes it easier for most of us to buy someone in need lunch or dinner, most of us live in small compact houses with the average of 50-100 square meters, so people cant really offer their homes that much. 75% of the remaining 75 million residents belong to the middle classes. those that were lucky enough and hardworking enough to go above the poverty threshold. we are happy with what we have, we dream big dreams and work harder than ants, but at the end of the day, when our families are fed and there is a roof over our heads, we can say that all is well. philippines will show you how the best things in life are and could be free.
i love the travelogue! im a filipino and i definitely say im impressed with his video. being on the travel is not always featuring good stuff, i mean we should face reality of life like reflecting the bad sides of a particular and to tackle that on his travelogue has a personal touch and make it more unique and can touch your emotions. thank you for sharing this and thank you for the love of the philippines
Wow it is so awesome...!! Who's that guy, thanks to him for having a kind heart that sees beauty in the midst of adversity... reminds me of a stranger back in 2014.. it's true, we maybe are poor but we are willing to save and help someone in need, even if we don't know them. I am very much thankful to you Power Couple for making this reaction, the status of our living keeps us hopeful, grateful and grounded.. smiles are priceless when you know that it is pure.. thanks to the guy who did this, for knowing that there is more important than luxurious city life. God Bless Us All
Amazing couple! Been watching your reaction videos with my girlfriend and we are inspired by your relationship as well.. More powers to you guys! Love from the Philippines
Am I the only one from the viewers who started to cry watching my co Filipino brothers and sisters suffering from poverty 😭 anyways I love this video 😘
Prices here are cheap, and so are the workers salaries. That's why many people go to other country to work then send their money here for their families.
was crying t while watching this.. true there's more LOVE here in our country the Philippines! thank you for featuring this! by the way i live where the Mayon Volcano is.. proud bicolana here.. proud filipina too! hope to meet you guys!
I love you guys.... thanks for visiting our country... I saw you went to Tagaytay but I am shy to approach you. I would like to request for selfie but i did not ask. God bless u both and you are always in our hearts.
Seeing you guys this sincere and how touched you were about this video, I think you guys are amazing inside and out! Your content/reactions are so real and it just brings joy to whoever watches your videos. Props!
Despite from the poverty of the people,,still they can give you a warm smile, and the people are very hospitable in every ways. Thanks for that hottsamn & hugknuckles ,,
You know why many of our artists are great singers, right? They like to join singing competitions. What we forget to tell you is many of them grow up joining these competitions in hopes of winning and helping their families get by, including Bugoy Drilon, who was a canteen janitor before and Marcelito Pomoy, who took odd jobs especially because he did not have enough educational background. Even KZ helped out her family. Regine, too, and thanks to the kind of training she got from her father, her voice would probably not be like it is now (she would submerge herself in water, up to the neck, and practice). A lot of the Tawag ng Tanghalan contestants join in hopes of pulling their families out of poverty. The recent winner, Noven, is/was a farmer...We are in a sad state economically. But I think it is also what makes us stronger.
God bless you both. You are loved, even after youtube is long gone. Remember you have a family across the pacific. Filipino smiles are coming from their heart...they may not be rich, but they always have something to share to families & friends like you.
You both are precious i mean no one int his planet dont deserve to be recognized!! I love you both!! Hope all youre filipino supporters will meet you someday!! Godbless.. be loved!!
You guys are so cute. Thanks you for highlighting the positive things about my country and my people. In spite of extreme poverty we still manage to smile and be happy.
it's actually going up and down like it's supposed to, i love how some people lost their minds and underwears on facebook when Philippine Peso to USD exchange became $1 = 50 pesos and blamed the government, the rich people, the poor people, the businessmen, etc; but then, just a week later when it went down to $1 = 48 pesos not one voice was heard.
Your argument is invalid aLwE17. Check this link to see for yourself. www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=PHP&view=5Y Here is a chart of PH peso to dollar in 5 years timeline. Please shove it in your ass because I don't like people that talks but doesn't know what he/she's talking about. OFW workers will benefit a lot in which is the largest percentage of the economic growth but wouldn't be unfair for those people working inside the Philippines that they work for is worth less? Did you know that early 1980's PHPeso to USD was like less than 10 peso to 1 dollar? I'm tired of ignorance that you have, that's why our growth is high but ignorant people like you delays the development of the country. Please use the internet wisely.
The video says it all! In as much as we love our country there are so many things that are needed to be looked upon and one is poverty! The Philippines though does not own this problem (and many others) alone because poverty is everywhere, which just goes to show that we as brothers and sisters no matter what nationality we may be should do our part because our governments cannot do everything on its own. I feel what Samn is feeling and it really breaks my heart seeing people suffer in extreme poverty and I guess part of it is also because you guys through the videos you've seen of our country and our people may have felt an instant connection to us Filipinos. We appreciate all the support and through guys like you (and the guy who made the video) the world may not only see the beauty of our country and our people but also the need for brotherhood help to our less fortunate brethren! love love love!!! 😘
I just simply love you both for loving our country. I live here in Texas now but I miss Philippines so bad. Hope to see you there. We will, hopefully visit Philippines on the time you are planning to go there too.
buhokli naruTIE if you eat 3 times a day it means you're above poverty line. be content to what you have and peopl should stop acting like they're very poor.
Labeling me as a "yellowtard" just because I'm spewing out the truth makes you stupid and ignorant. Live with that fact too. And WOULD IT KILL YOU TO READ ANY OTHER NEWS SOURCE ASIDE FROM MOCHA USON'S BLOG?
I am a Filipino watching your vlog right now and seeing Sam cry about my country's poverty stricken areas only mean that you still care for the humanity. That is the truth about my country but we remain resilient in any given situation that we experience here. It's more fun in the Philippines...but there's more love in the Philippines!
What I love about you guys is your honesty. Not because you speak nice things about us Filipinos but I feel the genuineness in you as what we as human beings should be. God bless you both. By the way, you are one heck of a couple. Love you guys! Hope you can come and visit our country again.
I felt like crying too when I saw Sam crying. The two of you need a break, come here and you will never get frustrated to see people who always help, show 100% kindness and hospitality. We do Love Americans too, we like your skin tone, your nose, your culture, literature, arts, music and celebrities. We would rather spend money to watch your movies than our local movies, which is a fun fact. You may want to watch Michael Bustos who features most of must see facts about Philippines. There must be some bad publicity at some point about our country but you will never realize the difference when you see and feel it. Just have to ask all people who came here, this is unforgettable experience that most of them keep coming back and some even preferred to stay for good and marry locals here.
Anne Lee, I like your comments about being better and better....A country with such great potentials........Hope the best for all Filipinos!

thanks for being so optimistic about the Philippines. that's really help a lot. thanks!
Thx!
Despite poverty, people in the Philippines smile. Despite accent and lack of education, Filipinos speak English.
mark72141 As an immigrant who moved here in the States when I was 8, 11 years ago with my family I’ve never taken granted for what I have. When people complain about their lifestyle here I always look back home and see how much worse people have it there and how lucky people are here.
Phililppines top 5 of speaking English
I've been to the Philippines twice now and can say that it is truly incredible. The first time I went for 15 days, got engaged to my wife during that time. I had brought $1000. I ended up coming home with money.
The 2nd time was this past January, for our daughters baptism. Lol, I only brought $300, for 2 weeks stay. Again, came home with money. It's really something else over there, and at first a cultural shock. I love it! You two will both love it I'm sure. Ummm, a warning though, the food is incredible!
And 2nd warning, Traffic.
That's the reality. Philippines is a third world country but our greatest asset would always and always be our people and it makes life in a third world country more bearable than living in the most powerful country in the world.
iam Red Developing country not Third world country.
Mark Denor Aspa yep
1st world= developed
2nd=developing
3rd=develop
iam Red what's with the developed and develop? haha
Mark Denor Aspa thats how to know if a country is under 1st 2nd or 3rd world... they will teach it to you in economics class 😃

Kudos to the guy who made the video. More often than not, tourists only see the good part of the country...
NAS Daily probably is the only UA-camr, aside from Kyle Jennermann, who showed the negative side of the Philippines, and brought them hope.
Shiro Amakusa NAS daily is not a UA-camr (he doesn’t have a yt channel)

You've featured so much about the Philippines, you deserve a visit here! Thank you so much for appreciating our country.
I love you both guys 😘❤️
Amidst the poverty; Filipinos are so resilient that we don't lose faith, hope & love.
You should go visit the Philippines..... the people will love you there.
Both of you have good heart. Very touching when you broke down because of your compassion. God bless

I think the exchange currency in the philippine : $1 = 51 Pesos .
it's so unstable.. everyday it changes..
currency exchange rate varies to the changes of world currency so the fix rate is subjected to change over time.
I know dude steam games for me is hard cuz it's terms of USD to PHpeso.
it's actually going up and down like it's supposed to, i love how some people lost their minds and underwears on facebook when Philippine Peso to USD exchange became $1 = 50 pesos and blamed the government, the rich people, the poor people, the businessmen, etc; but then, just a week later when it went down to $1 = 48 pesos not one voice was heard.
Your argument is invalid aLwE17.
Check this link to see for yourself.
www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=PHP&view=5Y
Here is a chart of PH peso to dollar in 5 years timeline.
I just want to hug Sam and comfort her but I'm crying too! Hahahaha. We love you guys!!! Philippines is waiting for you both!
Much love for you guys

The Mayon Volcano Had A Gender! 😂😂😂😂
Rhoda Rosales a female, her name is daragang magayon and the cloud is her lover named ulap it's like a myth/story from old people
Hey you.. dont cry my dear.. thank you for loving our country and showing such compassion to us filipinos. ❤️
I hope one day u guys can visit The Philippines 🇵🇭
the burger actually is buy 1 take 1 that means buy 1 order you get 2 burgers and we call it Angel's Burger #proudtobefilipino
I just simply love you both for loving our country. I live here in Texas now but I miss Philippines so bad. Hope to see you there. We will, hopefully visit Philippines on the time you are planning to go there too.
6:53 25% only living under the poverty line? it feels like 80% to me..
buhokli naruTIE 75 or 80 we are still poor
I think that source come from SWS
buhokli naruTIE if you eat 3 times a day it means you're above poverty line. be content to what you have and peopl should stop acting like they're very poor.
buhokli naruTIE 25% under the poverty line. so I guess 70% on the poverty line. 5% rich ass filipinos lol Just a guess haha

Louisselarraine Ramirez Our economy is shit. Really?
our economy is 4th fastest in growth. and people have more trust and hope in the govt. live with it yellowtard

Much Love from the Philippines! God Bless both of you!
What I love about you guys is your honesty. Not because you speak nice things about us Filipinos but I feel the genuineness in you as what we as human beings should be. God bless you both. By the way, you are one heck of a couple. Love you guys! Hope you can come and visit our country again.
Thank you for appreciating the Philippines and for reacting to our talents.☺more power to your channel!
Thank you for always featuring many things about our country. More power to you guys. Godspeed.
Thank you for loving Phils... more love from Phils. 💖💖💖
thank you for your interest of visiting our country Philippines.
Yeah its true we can be your friend A "REAL FRIEND" im proud tobe
