TREASURE HUNT! - Ammonite collect and clean ***NOW FOUND 5/2/22***

- Find Clean and hide! I've been out and hidden the fossil I found and cleaned in this video, there are 3 sentences that are clues, when I say them in the video it's a good idea to write them down. Each sentence if you work them out will give you a word, combine all three to get the location, dead easy.........
Good luck and if you find it (there is a bonus beer hidden with it) please let me know by emailing me at info@thefossilacademy.com or send me some picture on instagram.
Don't forget to whack the SUBSCRIBE icon, really helps out the channel.

I'ts fun to find ammonite and variovs other fossils every time you break a stone. It feels like fun even if you stay fof a day.🙆🥰🇯🇵🤗
Thank you video❤
ARIGATO🎉🙆🥰
Love this channel. I don't get down to the Jurassic coast as often as I like (work dictates) but this guy makes me want to come down all the more. Ive never had a bad day looking for fossils but I've had plenty of bad ones at work!
Keep up the good work Dan.
Cheers Jon, appreciate that, honestly gives me a boost and makes me want to get on with more content.
@@TheFossilAcademy Do it!
Obviously family life dictates our free time but your vids are so easy to watch. I guess part of this comes from your "schooling" past which has given you the understanding that not everyone is called "James Hutton" or " Georges Cuvier". (i'm more of a Benny from Crossroads kind of dude). 🤣
You have the right balance of information, knowledge and humour,
Onwards and upwards Dan.
Superb videos. Really great idea for the hiding one.
Cheers James got a few more in the pipe line, getting on it next month to get out more regular content. Need too big time!
Great video only just found your channel! very kind and generous and also fun of you to hide such a wonderful gift for someone to find! heading to charmouth tomorrow ( I know it's the worst time of year but young son is fossil mad, he loves it) for some fossil hunting, hopefully catch you on the beach sometime. 👍
Was down doing a private guided walk yesterday, found a few nice bits, was very sparse on the pyrite ammonites though, calm weather, lots of sand pushed up on the beach and the holidays make it harder than usual at the moment, still plenty to see and find though, had a bit more luck at the pinnacle slip, ask in the heritage centre where that is and they will point you in the right direction. Basically right towards Lyme and down the beach right to the corner. Good luck tomorrow! D
@@TheFossilAcademy thank you for replying so quickly! I've emailed you a few questions via your website. Again great video hope to see more soon!
@@TheFossilAcademy update- just gotten home from charmouth, found two annamites with a diameter of around 5cm, we're all very happy with ourselves Just need a little prepping now👍
Ahh that is awesome! I got your email, not had a chance to sit down and reply, off out kayak fishing tonight, will send you some info tomorrow.
@@TheFossilAcademy no rush my good man you enjoy your fishing! just reply whenever you can. I hope you catch a nice bass or two tonight mate! 👍 😉
Enjoyed stumbling across your channel. Just moved near Charmouth and at the early stages of this new hobby. My little 3 year old loves it. With your back catalogue I almost sound as though I know what I’m doing.
If you ever see me down the beach give us a shout
I wish we were closer !!! That looked stunning......
Good to see ya back matey.
Great work on that ammonite. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for these fun videos. I've been trying to make bi-yearly visits to the Jurassic coast since I was a young boy back in 1985. Sadly I usually only manage to get down for a day at a time, but I always enjoy myself.
In your opinion, is the Black Venn or Stonebarrow side best? I normally do Stonebarrow, but watching your videos, you seem to favour Black Venn.
All depends on what I’m after, if I want a green nodule I’ll go to the barrow, pyrites in the winter barrow as well, I’ve done quite good on the wood stones from the Ven and know some good places for the flat stones, more to hit on the Ven side as you get all the birchi nodules too so tend to go that way when making videos, I love both sides to be honest, think it’s just more whackability Ven section. The barrow is mainly big winter storms for the flat stones from the slips. I’m happy just being down there :)
i watched all your videos there great buddy, wish you could do more :)
Cheers man, defo trying to get more content out on a regular basis, planning some new videos right now! Getting excited by this storm rolling in, Friday is going to be wild!!
Wow great video and finds 💪🤩
Love a calcite ammo 😍
Cheers dude
Great video love the idea😍
Fab idea. Thinking cap is on 🤯
You work it out yet?
@@TheFossilAcademy Nope, grrrr
Hello, what is the weight of the hammer you are using? Thanks Jason
Hey Jason, 1.7lbs think that’s around 800grams, get mine from a company called Zorro, type machinists hammer into google, should come up.
Where was it? I just couldn’t work it out but it drove me mad for a few days trying.
First letter from each word. Do that for each of the three segments will give you the answer. Use the what three words app to give you the location it was hidden :)
i know exactly where, maybe a half hour to walk....
greez from switzerland :-D
Whack whack with some good ole yack yack.
That'll be an exciting treat for whoever finds it.
Not been found yet!
Did anyone ever find this gold?
Yes dude! Think it took three days :) got to make it harder next time
