Are you in FL? I recently moved here and I can’t find any yarn festivals! I’ve googled so much and nothing. I did find one called Orlando Distaff Day but it was the one weekend I was away! I’m pretty surprised!
Ali, Ali!❤ You are such a gift to us...the time and care you take with this knitting show vlog is extraordinary. I feel like I was there with you and Dan...such a treat to actually see the yarn and hear from the makers and podcasters! Wonderful! Thank you so much!❤
Thank you so much for sharing my podcast! It was so lovely to meet you and to chat! The show was wonderful and I loved watching it back again via your vlog - thank you 😊I am absolutely going to make myself an emotional support chicken too! Xx
Absolutely lovely speaking to you and Dan at the show. You have some lovely purchases and I picked up the same curated yarn co. skein of The Great buying it on the Aran base. There was so much to see that I didn't get to all the vendors either.
Such a fun outing!! So nice that Dan went too and you had a night away!! So enjoyed meeting all the wonderful folks you encountered and seeing all the scrumptious yarn!!! 🥰🧶♥️🧶🥰
Seeing all those yarn colours, minis, balls and assorted notions, is to me like being a kid in a candy shop. So so hard to decide, overwhelming almost.
I am not able to go to your delightful yarn festivals. I love your videos of them, you don't rush and your joy at being there comes thru. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful vlog Ali, I will be ordering and spending lol. I loved it seeing it all- I shall check and see how far it is from Devon ! And…..I’m going to watch it again tomorrow just incase I missed anything. I bought the pompom maker a few years back. Xx
Hi Ali, a wonderful podcast as always! I'm going to the Islington Stitch festival this Saturday☺. It is local to me and my first ever such event so I'm really excited!
I am so gutted that I missed this festival I only just found out it existed from your video! Definitely going to get tickets for next year if I can help it ❤
Ali and Dan, thank you both for sharing this wonderful festival with your viewers. I would be in color sensory heaven to see all that beautiful yarn and bags and other goodies gathered in one space. It would be hard to decide what to buy. I’m glad to see the emotional support chickens riding to the occasion. I have started my first one, and I am loving it. It’s so much fun to go on a yarny adventure with you. ❤️😊☘️
It looked like a great time! So much crafty and yarn goodness! Dan is such a great sport to go along with you. I look forward to watching some new podcasters from the links below! Thank you for taking the time to share your weekend. It was a lot of fun to watch! Happy belated Mother's Day!
Im so disappointed that I’ve never heard of James Makes Yarn before. All of his colour ways are so beautiful and bright. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us ❤
Thank you so much for taking us with you and sharing EVERYTHING! 😀 I feel like I was there, which is very cheering because I had to cancel my long-awaited trip to the Portland (Oregon, USA) Rose City Yarn Crawl last week. 🥀 Now, I’ve seen lots of beautiful yarn and I, almost, don’t miss the squishing… 🥰🧶🌻
Thank you for another wonderful video! I really enjoy seeing different places around our big wonderful world. You always have cheerful fun videos & Dan always makes me laugh😅
Thank you for this time. Very nice to follow you in the yarnfestival. I,m from Sweden and have not followd you earlier. I Will listen to you even next time.
Looks like a great show. I made the Giddyquin Cowl sample for Helen, it's always so odd seeing it at shows, especially seeing as I have never been to a show myself 😅
Many thanks for showing us your visit and also for the comprehensive list of links you have added. It must have taken you so long to do this and I am really grateful.
I love your tours of yarn festivals, and I am always shocked by your restraint in not purchasing EVERYTHING you see! I am extremely excited -- I am coming to the Southern Wool Show in September. I cannot wait and luckily have a few months to figure out how I'm going to get my purchases home!! Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you so much for sharing! As I live in the US all I can do is experience this show vicariously. I do plan on going to the Southern Comfort Fiber Festival in Charlotte, NC this summer. Take care and enjoy your purchases. And thank you Dan for being such a good yarn enabler!
Thank you for taking us to the EAYF. I always love looking around the wonderful stalls selling all the gorgeous goodies! So nice to see the other podcasters too! I’m glad you had a great time and managed to get some things for yourself. Take care x
Love your podcasts. So fun to watch this vlog. Sorry to hear about cloud. Glad though Dan went with you and you got to stay for both days so fun. What a fun hour to watch.
So yarn fantastic!! Thank you for sharing everything!! I think I may have to plan a trip for next year. So many wonderful new friends to follow on their podcasts or Insta. Dan I hope that you had a great time and are recovered from the weekend. Love lots. 🙂💕🌻🦘
Two fab yarn show weekends. I had one here too.....I may have bought a skein or three 😀 Love your chicken, oh I love all of your bits and bobs. Thank you for taking us along xx
Thank you Ali for taking those of us unable to come to the East Anglia Yarn Festival!! What an amazing job you did showing all the vendors and their beautiful wares!! Thanks to you, I am now following a few more yarn dyers and makers!! Well done!!
What a fantastic way to spend Mother’s Day Ali. Such a lovely podcast and thanks for taking us with you. The next major wool show for me is the Bendigo Sheep & Wool Show (In Australia) in July. My friends and I catch the train which is a 3 hr trip each way but we get to knit/crochet on the train and have a great laugh 🧶
I came to the show on Saturday, i walked there as i actually live in Easton. Easton is the village where the Showground is situated. I bought a beautiful tote bag from lovely Alex Collins, 3 skeins of yarn and 4 pom poms from The crafty Bird. Sorry i missed you Ali, it's a lovely festival and all the more special for being on my doorstep x
Wow! what a wonderful event! Thanks for showing all that the EAYF had to offer. I now have a long list of blogs, websites etc to investigate! ☺ You did show a lot of restraint - I think I would have come home with bags of yarn!
Thank you Ali for a wonderful look around the yarn show. It looked amazing. I would love to go to that show one day. The next yarn show that I'm going to visit is the one at Buxton and I can't wait. xxx
Thanks for taking us with you 😊 I did make it along but following the various vlogs and Insta posts I have bought a Left Hookery basket kit and some of Vicki Brown's Norfolk themed yarn
Another great vlog and tour of the show, I was there the Saturday. But when I watch vlogs back, I realise how much I still missed! I was very good this year. Brought a skien from blue fern yarns and a skien from pixie yarns..❤ her yarns, and of course as the crafty bird was opposite her I couldn't resist a pom pom to match. Its there waiting for me once I'm feeling more up to it, I had my surgery on Thursday and have definitely been feeling very sore, tired, and in a lot of pain since. Had 2 spend 2 nights in hospital, but home now resting in bed listening to my body so I can get back to crafting ASAP! There's a crochet version of the emotional support chicken I might have to make one to see me through the next few weeks. Look forward to your next vlog 😊 xx❤
Thank you Ali for such a fun podcast of the festival. It looks like you and Dan had a blast. All the goodies and squishies looked to tempting. I hope to go one day. I can also hear my bank account crying already. 😄 This year I'm going to the new festival in Edinburgh. The Woolly Good Gathering at Summerhall. So excited, I can't wait for April 26th. 😍 You should come to one of the festivals up here in Scotland. The Scottish Yarn Festival and the Glasgow School of Yarn come to mind. Thanks again Ali for another wonderful podcast. ❤️
Absolutely loved the great job you did Ali on taking us with you to the yarn festival & showing us around. 😍. I thought you did an amazing job especially remembering everyone’s name 😇. I also loved the sweater that you wore on the first day & wasn’t sure if you knitted it or not 🤔. Also, I thought you were very good at restraining yourself from buying heaps of yarn, as it looked too good to resist, in my opinion! Cheers & well done & I wish this podcast was even longer 🤗. 🥰👏❤️💕😍
It was lovely to meet you and Dan. EAYF was my very first yarn festival and I'm off to another one at the beginning of April with my eldest daughter at Chipping Sodbury
That looked so fun! I spotted some Wonderland yarns there. I'm fortunate to be able to get those from one of my local yarn stores and I am OBSESSED! One of these days I need to get across the pond and check things out over there!
Thank you so much for sharing!! It's so fun to watch all the way from the other side of the world (Australia). I went to a yarn show here yesterday but was absolutely rubbish at remembering to film things.
Gosh I wish I could have gone with you! Looks like such lovely people and gorgeous yarn. My country doesn't really have yarn festivals that I know of, some hand made events with a bit of yarn, but not like this one. Glad you and Dan had such a lovely time! ❤
Thanks for sharing that really looked like a fun show. I just finished my chicken so much fun to make, never saw myself making a chicken but this was delightful.
That was fabulous - thank you so much both of you. I have been looking forward to seeing this since I knew you were going. How ultra kind is James for making you the perfect bag. Now looking forward to your next vlog. ❤

Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us Ali. So inspiring. I had a little chuckle when I saw your amazing chicken bag as, all the way over here in West Australia I had made myself a project bag out of the mustard colour way of the same chicken pattern! Would attach a photo for you but can’t see how to do it 😂

Yay!! The EAYF video I've been waiting for!! ❤❤ I was so distracted by your nails Ali - they kept reminding me of when we were kids and used to stick blue tack on our nails and pretend it was nail varnish 😂😂.
Many thanks for sharing your weekend at the EAYF. Looks like so much fun, and everyone + everything was amazing. I only have 1 local yarn festival in September - good for my wallet. I hope to visit your country soon - will have to check out yarn festivals too. My hubby doesn't mind tagging along, especially if the animals are there.
I want some yarnlings!! They are just too cute! This is the best festival footage I have seen! Thanks for taking us along with you. I couldn't get to the festival because we are going on holiday in a few weeks and I need to save my pennies for that, maybe next year.
Oh no Ali! How did I miss you telling us about Cloud, maybe you posted it on instagram or some other media platform? I am not connected to any of those. I am so sorry, did she become poorly? It’s sad, you gave her a beautiful life 🧡 you did a sterling job at the festival, you know so many people! Your knitted chicken is gorgeous, Love & Hugs, Suze. 🤗🐓🥰 xxx
