Ocarina of time Easter Eggs was a super fun video to make! Make sure you check out the Majoras Mask Easter eggs video! ua-cam.com/video/3MnjbsvxcH4/v-deo.html
Well I just found something new after playing this game a lot. In the rock room as Adult Link I went the other direction Against the wall w my mega hammer and found a golden rupee!! Yeah !! I’m a Grandmother. I just love this game.
I'll never forget being 11 and sitting in the floor beside my bro, jungle green N64, guidebook open beside us, grinding this game. I loved all the illustrations in the old guides. Final fantasy had pretty guide books too. It was so much better than watching videos or reading walk thoughs online.
If you stand on the roads in hyrule field, you don't get stalfos. You showed the bunny mask effect on a place where you would never spawn stalfos... You can use the chains on the bridge to get to the top and jump to the middle on both sides to get the two red rupees.
Favorite video game of all time. Probably have completed the entire game a 100 times or more (seriously). Know every secret, tip, and trick. Forest Temple will always be my favorite, mostly due to the theme. Love the water temple for its intricacy. Whoever designed the temples and dungeons is a mastermind.
Although maybe not a secret, but if you are wearing the iron while under water when either sun rises or sets the rooster or wolf sound as if they are drowning. It sounds kind of funny.😊
Fun fact: The reason the Lost Woods music gets quiet or Remain Audible It Is because Saria is playing the song so the closer you are to her you can hear the music better Saria was helping us even after she became a Sage
@@carloslopez4866I think all the sages died and their souls were rescued by Link. Of course Nintendo wouldn't outright express this or else the age rating might have been raised.
Great video! Straight to the point, music isn't too loud, everything is shown well. Just started on the Nintendo switch after about 15 years. Thanks for the history lesson.
Wow, the things you still learn 20+ years later! I think the one that surprised me the most was playing Zelda’s Lullaby to repair signs. I had no idea! Great, quality videos. Keep them coming!
@Ballen1182 i did and back when it first came out on N64 i managed to find a few other secrets that not even my older brothers knew! Pissed them off a bit i was able to find every gold Skulla's all 100 and secret Repuees spots
Near the fishing area, there is an old potion wizard that changes at night. If you use your iron boots and sink to the bottom of his pool, you'll see a shark in a cage, in reference to Nintendo being against Gameshark
And it's even a meme that link took itens in the enemy dungeon as some crazy thing but every dungeon is an old ancient protected place, that said the chests light have the same light of the Sage, so it's prob him who give you the itens, not the enemy or the dungeon
I know what you mean but the bunny hood mask works everywhere just like walking on the road. Those freaky shits wont spawn. Its just as well as these come in groups of two and are much harder than Meta Ridley in Metroid Prime.
I have to correct you real quick. The death of the skull kid happened in the adult timeline, majora’s math happened in the child timeline so it would still happen.
There's actually a (kind of) way to fight Ganon sword to swords. When he swings his weapon vertically, counter with a horizontal swing, and when he swings horizontal counter with a vertical. You also have to be the right distance: too close and he'll hit you regardless, too far and you'll both miss .
I remember losing the metal piece that goes to the cord that plugs into the tv for years when i was a kid. We had foot long crt tv and couldn't hardly make out what I was looking at, but still played it. I had a hunch and moved some furniture around and behold the magical metal cylinder was found once again. I immediately turned on the game and had a rush of excitement.
I play on my GameCube. My fav I’m a Grandmother :). 5 rupees out at the end of the rope bridge near links house And 5 rupees behind the building near the vine to the list forest.
At 14:30, I got that heart piece just by walking out that door, you can sneak by the gerudo guards and walk out right there. Idk if it’s just cos I did it on the switch emulator, but I didnt need to glitch at all to get it
At around 5:50 if you kill them fast enough you will usually just barely have time for one to spawn that drops 2 red rupees. Also if you have something like Gamecube and action replay you can pause the time in the field. And the Stalfos will keep getting bigger as you kill them.
Great content. This was really well done. You sure know your stuff! The one big thing that I would add was that in the village with the well and large windmill there is an area that game developers created but didn't complete. You need to cheat to access it. If you hover around the top of the windmill you will see it.
16:56 With the deku nuts, you can actually use them to kill the bubbles in jabu jabu (which is my go to method) and also I’m pretty sure you can use them to damage some of the shrub enemies too. But since they’re 1 hit type enemies idk if that’s why you didn’t include them.
The bunny ears turning off the stalfos is probably because they were worried people would have trouble talking to the running man if you had to deal with enemy NPCs.
i could be wrong but that "out of bound" heart piece, im pretty sure there is a way up to it through gerudo fortress. as you no clipped up to the location, facing the area, the back right has a pathway that leads down to one of the fortress corridors.
4:00 maybe someone has mentioned this already but the music trick only works the first time you visit the sacred forest meadow. When you come back after the first time, the music will not change no matter what path you take.
I thought I knew all of these, but you schooled me on a few I'd never heard of. But I also noted that the one heart chest on top of Gerudo Fortress can be acquired after you get the long shot. You just have to be standing in the right place.
Okay so when I played my 2nd time. Back in Middle school I big time messed up on the battle with Gandorf (mainly forgot about it after the castle battle.) I didn't make the giant's knife and had like only a few light arrows. So in the fight he knocked the Master sword out of range to where i couldn't grab it again. (Not sure if that was suppose to happen or a bug in the game) and left me with like no way to attack. Mind you I was hasty to beat the game by this point and didnt want to die, start from the last save and spend time making arrows (due to i believe you couldnt make the giants knife after a certain time in the game.) And refight him. I found out by slide kicking around to dodge him and ended up beating him only using the slide kick attack on him. A huge blunder but an epic one that I ended up still winning. Just imagine all that time in the game doing all these quest to get weapons and gear that i could have used as well but me being a dumby totally blanked it. And still beating Gandorf monster mode with the basic slid kick you would use to get rupees in the game. My friends was hysterical when he watched me do it. Btw I feel sorry for him and any of you that rage quit this game because of the Water temple. 😂😂😂 That was like insult to injury for him since he quit when he got stuck at that part and never played it again until watching me beat it.
The lost woods music thing only happens before getting saria's song. There's multiple skull kids in the woods, they're not the same ones as the one in MM. You can walk on the drawbridge chains and jump off to get the rupees. This is the most efficient way to get money early on.
There is a way to beat the running man! All you have to do, is start his mission, run as fast as possible to the village and walk through the entrance, where you see him chilling down there, but wait for a bit, because it has to be exactly 1:00 and then interact with him hehe good luck
My sister and I discovered blowing up the gossip stones by accident and we thought it was absolutely hilarious. It’s even funnier when you blow them up in a room where they hit the ceiling
There's a part where you mention that wearing the bunny hood will prevent Stalchildren from attacking you. I can't confirm or deny that that's true, but in the video, you're standing on a path, which will prevent them from spawning. Furthermore, you don't have to ride the bridge to the top to get the hidden ruppees, you can run up the chain and jump and get them, it's a great way to farm money in the beginning. I'm not sure how many of these are actually secrets, or easter eggs, but still a fun video.
1. You can actually just walk up the chains and jump off near the top to get the red rupees instead of waiting for the draw bridge to go up. It's the ideal rupee grinding spot. 2. Any weapon or item you can swing will actually deflect Ganons lightning. This includes the Big Goron Sword and the Megaton Hammer.
More secrets and details that weren’t mentioned: The big stalchildren in hyrule will get progressively larger the more and more times he spawns (until you leave or it turns day). The only thing that changes is the size though, and it only happens for that one enemy. You’ve probably heard of the detail where link will sneeze if you go idle in the ice cave for long enough, but what you might not know is that this also happens in graves. This means you can also see this animation as child link. Some of the rocks outside the spirit temple are actually just the musician brother’s graves. They are inside the ground and at an angle that you can’t tell normally though. If you refuse to give the mask to the guard outside of death mountain, he will shut the gate and refuse to let you inside unless you give it to him. The islamic chants in the fire temple aren’t actually islamic chants (I don’t think). It’s just from a sound font cd. I believe side hoping is the real fastest way to travel, but I could just be wrong about that or it could only be faster when going up or down hills or something like that. The R-wing was actually also used to test volvagia’s ai. On the topic of scrapped items, there are also shadow, spirit, and wind arrows, as well as magic attacks for some of the medallions. Apparently the bottle actually has a wider and longer hitbox than any other item for reflecting ganon’s attacks. The crouch stab doesn’t have a damage value, but instead takes the damage of the last attack. This means you can switch to the biggoron sword, jump attack, switch back to the master sword, and crouch stab. Each stab should do as much damage as the jump attack did.
i have the og ocarina cartridge. (well, i guess it was my dad’s cartridge) it’s cool to know i have a piece of lost history! i know why they made the changes, but i always thought the chanting in the fire temple was so cool.
If you dont shoot any arrows during the whole mini game in Kakariko village the guy running the game will get mad and ignore you by looking the other way, and wont let you play again.
i can just imagine when this game first came out and you have a Muslim who spends every day listening to religious chants that it gets to the point of annoying and you just don't want to deal with it for 5 mins. You buy the game and you enjoy it finally getting to relax. You love this game and you play it when you're not working and then you get to the fire temple you enter the temple expecting not to have to religion and then you hear this and you groan as you realize what the chanting is.
I'm not sure, but if you wear different masks and talk to the gossip stone's, they'll give you different responses. I know the mask of truth will let the stone's give you hints.
Hi Dan. Regarding your last easter egg at the end of the game where you hear notes from the Scarecrow's Song after letting the game sit idle for a bit, I actually found a different Easter Egg: It's that if you push the C-Buttons or A-Button as if you were idly playing the ocarina, or actually playing a song, you will hear the notes sung in Malon's voice. (eg: ooh-ooh-ooooooh, ooh-ohh-ooooooh, ooh-ooh-oooh-ooh-ooooooh.) This is for the N64 version of the older NTSC that has the Islamic chant in the Fire Temple.
I actually thought I was supposed to use the bottle against Ganondorf. I misinterpreted the hint that said I needed something reflective to counter his attacks. I equipped the bottle and it worked. I didn't realize that I was doing anything different until my brother saw me playing and started laughing.
In that same chest you showed in Garudo Valley, the one people thought had a piece of heart in, if you go there as young Link via levitate hack and open the chest, it contains.... A Mushroom?! [At least it did for me, I had one of the earlier versions where Ganondorf coughs up red blood and the chants exist in the Fire Temple]
If you use the slingshot with the images of the Mario pals then you won't get the bomb. The bomb comes from the window opposite of the one with Mario and friends.
there’s more to the giant enemy thing than just seeing one big one that drops a blue rupee. if you kill a lot of stalfos really fast, they continue to grow. there’s a video on here that explains it better than I did. but they continue to get bigger and bigger with the more you kill
I just reconnected my Wii to start a new game on my GameCube version of this game , can't wait to beat the regular and run through the Master quest ! I have 2 versions for GameCube, the master quest and the promotional game that has Zelda 1 , 2 , Ocarina of time , and Majoras mask.
Fun fact: there’s no a PC port that lets you natively run at widescreen, turn up the internal resolution, have texture mods, run at 60FPS+ and it’s even possible to install the port on the Switch. Called Ship of Harkanian
In the 2nd last boss fight you can get Ganondorfs heath low enough but not take down he will charge his aerial attack like link does his sword something I did as a kid miss that game
One thing i thougt was creepy if you go to fire temple i think wait a little bit then you hear "Wake Up Link" but many many times not so sure if anybody else noticed that
Idk if there is a Link's Awakening DX video, but yesterday I was digging for seashells while escorting Marin to the Animal Village, and every time I dug a dialogue box would come up saying "yes, dig to the center of the earth" (paraphrasing here). This is the GBC Virtual Console version for the 3DS.

[At least it did for me, I had one of the earlier versions where Ganondorf coughs up red blood and the chants exist in the Fire Temple]
Oh sweet nostalgia 😅. Love the video and the music is dope! 🐐 video game ever
And they also released the ocarina of time master quest Wich is basically the same game but harder
You can keep getting the 5 rupees from the stone jump in the beginning if you go inside and come out lmao
7:00 what version of the song is that
The chalk drawing is from the kid Link sent back to his original time line. He was just documenting his adventures...
I thought the drawing on the tree by links house was godzilla.
Playing it right now.
If you play zeldas lullaby in front of a shiekah stone, you get free faires!
In the 2nd last boss fight you can get Ganondorfs heath low enough but not take down he will charge his aerial attack like link does his sword something I did as a kid miss that game
"In my day sonny granny played this game. Now she's shriveled up like a raisin. Honestly, she looks 30 years older than her true age."
It's easier to beat Phantom Ganon in the ping-pong game with a bottle than with Biggoron's Sword.
Hey man, cool music where did you get that from?
One thing i thougt was creepy if you go to fire temple i think wait a little bit then you hear "Wake Up Link" but many many times not so sure if anybody else noticed that
I will have to check that out
I only just recently found the super fairies that heal magic power. They appear if you play a certain song at spots where navi is green.
16:04 Use the Flute of Time ~ to freeze the time/timer so you can clear it at 0:00-0:01 ^___^
Happy Easter 4:
I was born a few days before the remake irl
Amazing video didn't know half of these ❤
Cow in links house is actually aquired for finishing the gerudo archery mini game if i remember right.
Nope, it's if you beat Malon in a horse race at Lon Lon Ranch. The Gerudo Archery prizes are a piece of heart and a big quiver.
I'll subscribe because of how direct he was about it. Respect. Lol
Staying on the path also stops stalfos spawning
Idk if there is a Link's Awakening DX video, but yesterday I was digging for seashells while escorting Marin to the Animal Village, and every time I dug a dialogue box would come up saying "yes, dig to the center of the earth" (paraphrasing here). This is the GBC Virtual Console version for the 3DS.
Yes i have a links awakening video!
I did not know that about the signs repairing
