Essential Supplies You'll Need to DIY Your Wedding Flowers

DIY-ing your wedding flowers can be a rewarding and cost-effective option, but it requires careful planning and preparation. In this video I’m going to talk about supplies you'll likely need:
Floral tape
- Essential for securing your boutonniere together, you can also use floral tape to secure your bridal bouquets together (although I prefer cable ties or bind wire instead).
Pruning Shears or Floral Scissors:
- Sharp cutting tools are crucial for cleanly cutting stems and ensuring your flowers stay fresh. Scissors aren’t sharp enough and will crush the stems of the flowers just enough to hinder water uptake and hydration.
Buckets or Vases:
- Large buckets or vases filled with water will keep your flowers hydrated before arranging.
DIY projects take time, so plan accordingly. Don't rush the process, and allow yourself enough time to create beautiful arrangements stress-free. Before you start, it's advisable to do some research (we have lots of advice and tutorials), possibly attend a floral arranging workshop, and practice creating small arrangements to build confidence. Additionally, enlist the help of friends or family members to make the process more enjoyable and efficient.
