  • Hi I’m Sarah! I’m the owner of You Floral, a bulk wholesale florist that supplies florist grade blooms to couples all across Canada and the US. With warehouse hubs strategically located throughout the country, our flowers spend minimal time in transit and arrive direct to your door perky and ready for you to design and create your own wedding arrangements.
In this video I will show how creating a hydration chamber for boutonnieres can help keep them fresh for a longer period. Here's a simple guide to make a hydration chamber:
    Materials:
    - Small, shallow container or dish
    - Lid for the container
    - Spray bottle filled with water
    - Boutonnieres
    Steps:
    - Choose a small, shallow container that can comfortably hold the boutonnieres without crowding them.
    - Cut a piece of paper towel that fits the container.
    - Spray the paper towel to dampen it.
    - Put the wet paper towel in the container. Ensure that it is at the right height so that the boutonnieres don't get squished.
    - Put the boutonnieres on top of the paper towel.
    - To create a humid environment, cover the container with plastic wrap or a clear plastic lid. This helps maintain moisture around the boutonnieres.
    - Keep in the refrigerator:
If you notice the boutonnieres looking a bit droopy, you can lightly mist them with water to refresh the flowers.
By following these steps, you can create a hydration chamber that helps keep boutonnieres fresh for special occasions. Remember to start this process as close to the event as possible for the best results.
