Ahh….memories. Cycled in sharing one bike between two, my mates old relic loosing a chain right at the start. As you said a tough walk, I was totally cream crackered at the end. Never has a youth hostel been so inviting. Some nice young Germans made us pancakes in exchange for toothpaste. Thanks for all your posts Brian
We cycled in to do your 1st & 3rd hills, we were taking a leisurely late lunch above the bothy when it dawned on me how far behind schedule we were. We may miss the evening bar meal in the pub. We pursuaded the slowest group member to go back. This allowed a faster pace becoming a dash for the bikes & sprint back. Sorting the highered bikes we lost a bolt, luckily finally got a mobile signal, rang the pub. They took our slightly late order, so arrived in the bar for, beer & food, perfect. Returned to the car park the next day & found the bolt. Thanks for bringig back the memories and showing the brilliance of Affric.
Oh my goodness, that sounds like a tight schedule! Glad you found the bolt too and made dinner. I had a similar situation after coming off Slioch. Dinner was booked but we were in a rush to get back along the track at the loch, took forever with tired legs. Managed a 3 min shower at the youth hostel & went to the Torridon Hotel with wet hair but made dinner. 👍
Walk in looked amazing. Am really enjoying your description of where you're upto and eating etc. Been subbed for a wee while and you are great at filming your travels 😀 👍👍🙏. The scenery and vistas you captured on the day were breathtaking too. Lucky you 🤓👍
Well done … loved it 🙏🙏.. I’m up from London on Monday next week hope to just do the 19k hike around Glen Affric … then into Morvich where I’ll stay for 4 days .. keep posting 👍✌️🙏
Hi Linda, so I am planning the same trip mid September with a friend. We have booked places in the Youth Hostel and intend to cycle in. Enjoyed your video and it has given me confidence in my plan.
That looked like a mammoth day in the hills but worth the hard work 🥵 Glen Affric is stunning 🤩 well done 👍 another great trip 🏕🏴🏕🏴🏕🏴🏕🏴🏕🏴🏕🏴🏕🏴
Nice one Linda, well done . I've still to do these 3 munros i was looking at the same way as what you have done ,walk in and two nights near the hostel . Enjoyed that Linda ..cheers Stevie
Fair enjoyed watching this on a driech and horrible December afternoon Linda. I was hoping you would have shown the way off the ridge to get over to Mullach na Dheiragain as I couldn't find an obvious way across when I attempted these some years ago. Ended up missing it out as we were staying at Carn Ban bothy and that's an extra 3 miles each way from your tent. Eventually did MnD from Iron Lodge. Cheers.
Thanks Alan. I couldn’t find an obvious path down despite being very close to the route (according to my GPS). I picked my way carefully down. Traces of a path here and there making my way across towards the ridge leading to Mullach ND. Thanks for watching. 👍
Really enjoyed that Linda. Very good. Am doing these 3 by the same route in 2 weeks time, except I’m staying at the hostel so it was very good to watch the video. Atb gordon
Hi Linda, what an amazing day you had. It looked fabulous. I am just back from Glen Affric, albeit not on the hills and the weather was certainly not what you experienced, it was rain, rain and a little snow on the tops. I always think of Glen Affric as the last true Scottish Wildernesses. Well done!
Well done Linda, that's a trek for sure and doing it solo is a real achievement, brave too, just watched over breakfast, really enjoyed your video, you smashed it, ATB.
Thanks so much. Yeah, there’s always a wee bit of anxiety doing something like that on your own but it does affect your decision making and I’m more careful. Thanks for watching. 👍
Great to see you working you're way through the more remote Munros and taking advantage of the long Spring days and more settled weather Linda... Good effort 👍😊
Great video of a bold trip! I did the same route many years ago from the hostel where I stayed for a couple of nights, having come in from Cluanie over A’Chràileag, and Mulloch Fraoch-Choire.
Well done bagging these Linda. Glad those clouds shifted for you, and it turned into a fantastic day. Looking forward to your next adventure. Cheers, Andy.
absolutely amazing Linda! really enjoyed this and was glued to the big telly all the way through! great effort and one I will need to watch again when I get the chance to visit! top drawer! cheers Paul
Thanks so much Paul. I see lots of vlogers using fancy cameras and drones. I like to keep it simple with the GoPro & phone so good to know the footage is worthy of the big telly! 😊 Really enjoyed these hills. 👍
@@PAADVENTURES1 yes, great track until Strawberry Cottage then it’s a rough Land Rover track which is very up & down & rocky. I think most folk would have to get off & push at parts. 👍
Looks a stunning place but definitely a good old trek glad the weather cleared up nothing worse than slogging through it and not been able to see anything.i put my porridge into silicone food bags they pack easier than the pots and the bags clean easy and can be reused.
Well done Linda. Some amazing views when the clag cleared. Great spot for a wildcamp. I had a issue with my exped mat and they replaced it (even got an upgrade from syn to down) Happy days. ATB Tam
Another epic adventure Linda, stunning views eventually 🏔 worth the hard graft 🥾 I've still to visit there myself, so the hostel might be an option 😀 I really enjoyed the video 📹 well done 👏 atb Brian 👍
Great effort to do these solo, they are on my list for this year so now I have the heads up and all the beta I need thanks to you. Stay safe and have fun.
Thanks for uploading, Linda. These still to do ourselves - previously seen ScottishKennyG's video who followed same route as you. You put a more human touch to it, whereas Kenny is a bit of a Glaswegian superman/walking machine, so we can see the reality of it. 🏴⛰
Ha, ha, probably not as fit as he is! Need to check out his video. I watched Cam Hikes video and she gets a bit scared 😳 on her own, worth a watch too. Thanks for watching. 👍
That would be great but I’m grounded at the moment with a new puppy 🐶. Hoping to get back out but realistically it’s going to be next year when she’s old enough to climb hills! I’m going to check out your videos they look great. Thanks for watching. 😊👍

Thank you for sharing this wonderful video Linda. Glen Affric is my favourite part of Scotland. It’s just beautiful. Tom a Choinnich and Toll Cregach were my first two Munro’s and we’ve also done the circular walk around Loch Affric. The hut by the beach with Sgurr and Lapaich behind it is on a canvas on my landing wall. 😃🏔🥾🏴
I did the two Tom’s on my birthday one year. Need to do them again as weather was horrible, didn’t see a thing! I love Glen Affric too. Special place. Thanks for watching. 👍
Another great walk. The views are a amazing. Thanks for the video.
Superb day, lovely film. Top tip re the YH. Still to do it myself also so really useful for planning routes etc.
