The music was written in 1933 by composer Lev Knipper, the author of the lyrics is poet Viktor Gusev. The melody of the song became the main theme of the first movement (Andante maestoso. Allegro) of Lev Knipper’s 4th symphony “Poem about a Komsomol Soldier,” completed in 1934.

It is indeed from the 50s where most communist countries (including Poland) were very keen on translating Soviet songs into native languages - thats also why you have so many versions of Katyusha etc.

​@@henrywalker2834 What puts me off is the use of the word "Wódz" (Vozhd, leader, commander), which in Poland is almost always associated with the 2nd Commonwealth's Marshals (Piłsudski and later Rydz-Śmigły, sometimes also Sikorski). It makes the lyrics sound like they are refering to pre-ww2 Poland rather than PRL, and I don't think it would be acceptable, especially in the 50s when Stalin was still around
