Hi there the perch academy video's ar really good! I would like to see more of these! Nice job good quality videos! My name is Calin i live in UK and i am fishing for perch!
Nice video, can't wait to see the next ep. I'm new to perch fishing, i noticed that Mads and many other anglers fish for perch with the drag set quite open, can someone explain me why?
Perch can get very strong and the bigger ones shake their head soo hard that the hooks can rip through their lips. You can have a tighter drag but that makes the chance of pushing the fish too hard higher. Theres basicly no downside to having a very light drag as long as you keep constant pressure on the fish.
Hi Gudrun, the camera guy here... Yes, there´s some times when my focus failed, I hope you enjoyed it anyway. I used to be a manual focus kind of guy, but Sony´s new autofocus is so damn good that I needed to try that, but a rod tip is damn hard to hit in a fishing situation ;)
@@SavageGear that's not easy fur sure 😁 don't know much about the Sony but with canons touch focus it should be possible to use the auto focus. I'm more the manual focus guy too. Sometimes it's better to loose some light to give more depth when it's hard to have everything in focus. Yes everyone loves to have the look when open to 1. 4 or 1.8 (when using unter 80mm) but sometimes more is better 😊 but it was an interesting video anyway and there were many good shots too.
@@gudrunnoelte4654 thanks and you are right, in retrospect I would have chosen another aperture, but... Fishing and filming it is fast decisions. Sometimes the wrong ones :) Thank you!
Hi Bradley. Yes, we knew we would get some comments about that, but making film and fishing is hard work and we ended up at a spot that took something else from us than just classic NED heads. So we fished the Ned lures on a cheb and it was fantastic, the best from the US and the best from russia ;) Should we not have shared that experience with you guys?
Yes, Mads knew that, but that day his tongue slipped and we only saw that close to deadline. But you are right! Hope you enjoyed our photos and graphics of Cheburashka though ;)
These are beautiful videos, but I do wish that you wouldn't hold perch in the mouth grip of American bass anglers - it can damage the fish's jaw. Show a bit of care. Perch are quite fragile and relatively short-lived compared to other freshwater species, so it's not a great model for all the novice anglers watching. Otherwise, these are excellent and informative.
@@SavageGear Kudos for responding to @Matthewgregory580's reply. A lot of other companies would have just let it slide. Thanks and you now have a customer looking for some of your gear to fish for perch in my local waters.
Love these videos and then they are filmed at my Local rivers/creeks so know i now how to fish there. Good job guys!👍
Hvor er det han fisker?

Just wishing that it was that easy to catch them damn only thing that works for me is live baiting for the big perch and pike
keep on trying, maybe there´s some other method that can get your Perch on the fins :)
Where can I get that cool cap from
should be available in any shop that carries Savage Gear :)

иронично, что окуневая академия учит как ломать челюсти окуням...
Terrible photography 🤷🏻♂️.. can’t see anything
