    the goal of this video is to get you familiar with the software and do a brief overview of everything, next video in this series will be on installing the s300 in the car, wiring up the wide-band o2, checking over the engine and setting some parameters in smanager; following that video will be everything on the first start of the engine

    Great video. I’m looking at getting a V3 and was curious about the UI once plugged in. All I could find before this video was people tuning. Thanks for the info

    Thanks for the video. Inspired to get hondata now lol. Had thoughts of purchasing it but never seen it up close. Been getting tuned on Neptune but I’d much rather learn myself.

    I hope you can do more videos like this.. im a first time s300 user and im forced to learn how to tune, and people will not put free info up like this.. im going to watch this and part 2 1000 times til I feel comfortable touching up on tunes.. but can you direct me to any more help I can find?? I know jays tech tips but he seems to dive into the mechanic side of things but I haven't watched them all. Anything s300 hondata related would be great, im putting a turbo kit on my accord f23a/f22a and this is the only thing holding me up..

    I am getting a s300 p28 i've been running socketed basemapped tunes for a real long time I am wondering if I need a wideband to tune my car or will the stock 4 wire be ok. I have a 95' coupe civic with a blue top h23a. Kind of nervous and idk what to expect. its a stock engine with bolt ons, 2.5 header and exhaust.

    when usuing boost by gear and the hondata s300 v3 is there anything that needs to be modified in the physical ecu? like adding or removing resistors or using a triac or transistor?I thought i seen somewhere where you needed to add a kit.

    • @TheBrownGarage
      @TheBrownGarage  6 років тому +1

      i havent used the electric boost control or BBG options, but from what i can gather it looks like yes you have to add some stuff;

    How are you able to tune without it hooked up to a car bro? Is there like a Simulator or something that can be downloaded?

    • @monjier
      @monjier 5 років тому +1

      He is basically making the map. You can get recorded data from the car ehen you drive it, then you can put the time in to tune it on your computer but using your recorded data

      I have a question? If I want to use the wideband in D10, I have to cut 2 resistors right?

    • @TheBrownGarage
      @TheBrownGarage  6 років тому

      no you can use d10 "eld" as your wideband 0-5v input no cutting necessary(remember to disable the ELD in the smanager misc. tab), i use both d10 and d14 unmodified depending on the setup, if you cut the resistor it gives the computer full voltage range instead of a reduced voltage range from the resistor, i.e. with my aem wideband anything richer than 11 ecu thinks is 11 and any leaner than 16.5 ecu thinks is 16.5, if you remove the resistors it should give full range 10-20 afr on the s300; i dont find it necessary because the ecu only uses the wideband input for closed loop fueling which is light to mid throttle were it targets 14.7 to help with fuel economy; its only kinda annoying for data logging because on data logs it will always say 11 if your richer than 11; for all motor its fine because you only target 13.2 afr for N/A; i think its better to work around it than risk damage by modifying the ecu, ill go over this in greater detail on one of the next s300 tuning vids
