At Charles pass you're not allowed to camp or unhook a trailer if you have one but if you have a fishing pole in the water we dont mess with you at least most of us wont, the people at the nature preserve might. I take care of the area
Thanks for the info, my wife and I are coming to visit family July 1st in Galveston and I’ll be fishing there fishing and was going to take a fishing trip to Corpus Cristi .
This (along with the first one) is going to help me out so much... I'm primarily a bass fisherman, and I'll be spending most of my fishing time on Choke Canyon, Coleto Creek, and others with my bass boat, but when the wind gets too sketchy on the lakes, it will be nice to have some other alternatives here locally. Can't wait to catch my first big red!
I Guarantee when you catch your first big red you will be hooked for life on salt water not saying bass isn’t awesome I used to fish for bass and walleye religiously but wen I moved to south Texas I got hooked on the salt water
Someone tell me if your wading this time of year (Aug 2023). Ive read the Vibrio Bacteria is higher than normal this year, all thru the entire Gulf and eastern shoreline Florida. I know its rare, but Ive read that if it gets past the skiin barrier (cuts, abrasions etc). I love wading and only way to fish surf for most fun.
My friend you know what your talking about. Another great video very informative. Today is the reopening of Flounder season. I'm headed out to get me some.
You need to try those Smith ChromaPop Polarized lenses! Game changers and they don’t break the bank. Good video! Watching from South Padre island. Cheers!
I have always had the thought to fish the dollar general canal (especially after the gator was Caught there ) my question would be what you think best to throw? Honestly a night crawler may do? What you think?
@@texasbeachbum Thank you sir. We are headed down there next weekend so we are looking at spots to fish. Thanks for the information. We will not have our kayaks this time, so wading and bank fishing is what we have to work with.

Dang this was enjoyable! Only make it out there about 3 time a year and I don't always know where to go. Definitely putting your spots on the map. Thank you for sharing the info.

I started as Winter Texan but I’m staying.. I want to fish safely and I don’t have a boat.. message me where to shore fish please.. and do I need to buy BIG pole?? I love my ugly stick... help
Once you get there you have to know what your doing. Seen my share of greenhorns and pot lickers chunking rigs not right for the water their fishing. Of course when leaving they make sure to leave their empties laying about
