"resigning themselves to apathy" that is without a doubt the hardest thing i struggle with.
We are but one person in a sea of people ~ 8 billion. If most people are dumb and want to create dumb systems and hire dumb people for positions of power and authority. Apathy seems logical in the face of that

Like I said before, I always get either INTP or INTJ on these tests, with roughly the same distribution (very close to 50-50).
One of the things I've identified with the most in your analysis is the tendency to focus on objective aspects of artwork and potentially miss the big picture. My interest in metal for an instance came from the imagery (started liking horror movies very early in my childhood) and what made me go really deep was the rich taxonomy of the genre. I've spent a lot of time listening to things I don't necessarily enjoy just for the exploration aspect of it.
While this gave me a good sense of the "what" and maybe the "how" of every subgenre (I should say many subgenres as there's always the next grindcore scene in not aware of), a lot of the messages under the obvious themes may elude me.
I think this is why I like your videos so much, because the "why" of each subgenre is something you provide in a thoughtful manner, still remaining somewhat objective.
That's very interesting, I score similarly on my tests, I've always gotten INTP or INTJ and yeah I also find myself sitting through albums I don't necessarily enjoy just to know what that specific sub-genre or micro-genre sounds like. I think it goes to show how accurate these tests can be if you answer honestly, despite what some people may say about them.
I was going to make a joke about sitting and thinking about this video as an INTP but i did actually sit and think about this video.

I think my wife is an INTP but she sometimes gets INTJ. I think she's INTJ because she sticks to projects and goals better.

@@aloroki3350 This topology is, from psychology as a science, kinda inaccurate. It's always more about the inclinations rather than being one or the other in each category. Noone is 100% one or the other type. Depends on the situation and may change over the course of your life. There are also people who are kinda 50-50 is some of the categories. How do you figure out which you have incilations for? Simple, you can ask yourself on which you rely on more. Especaly in less comfortable situations. People with S rely more on their hands, on the methodical approach and the metodology, on things that are thousand times proven reliable to deal with the situation. People with N rely more on intuition, on that "gut feeling". Their mind is about recognizing pattern "instantly". Let's say you want to disassemble some device like a laptop to repar it. Someone who is more xSxx kinda person will search for the manual and schematics (blueprints if you will ...) before they even think about picking a screwdriver. Someone who is more xNxx kind of person will look at the device and think to them selves something along the lines "Ah, ok ... I just loosen these screws, then fit something here to force these two covers apart, then there will be probably something holding internal battery ..." and then pick up screwdriver. Or cooking example. xSxx kinda person is more likely to follow the recipe to the letter, while xNxx is more likely to read the recepie in order to understand what it's about and what are the roles of the individual ingredience. Then they will likely put their own spinn on it by doing ssome of the steps in different order replacing the ingredience they don't like with something they do. Using a little bit less (or little bit more) of some of the ingredience.
Key thing about this ... It's about inclinations and how likely you are to pick one approach over the other to deal with a problem or the situation. Not if you combine them in some way or pick almost exclusively one and stick to it most of the time.
I get either an INTP over the course of 10 years of testing and people forcing me to take such tests. Once, I got an INFJ. I find this terribly accurate.
Take the tests with a grain of salt. Maybe I'm biased towards intuition, as it is my dominant function, but I think intuiting what you are is more reliable than relying on a test. Then again, I'm apparently INTJ so of course I'd say that. Haha
