That kid thing (about turning off the TV) was spot-on perfect. My mother once told me if I didn’t eat my dinner, I couldn’t go out and play with my dog. So, I got up and went in my bedroom and started reading. She came in and said, “What do you think you’re doing?”. I said, “I’m not playing with the dog nor eating, so why should you care?”. My father laughed so hard he had to leave the house for a few minutes.
There where a few times when my mom told me "Either you eat that food, or you don't get up from the table" so I had to stay sitting on that... chair actually, in front of the table for 6 hours straight.
Same. I was told to eat a burrito or I couldn’t watch TV with everyone else and I couldn’t leave the table. So I sat in my chair until my parents got so frustrated that they told me to go to bed. I was like okay. As long as I’m not eating that burrito.

Oh my looooord, the part about being calm in chaos and stressed in normalcy is ON👏🏻 POINT👏🏻. I’ve been told that I am mellow and chill when everything is on fire, but as soon as things are boring and calm, my mind is creating a scenario of everything being on fire or some imaginary confrontation where I actually have a good comeback, just to feel alive. 😂
Spot on with a single appointment ruining the entire day. I was actually scheduling with one doctor who mentioned a date and I stated I had an appointment with another doctor that same date before she made me realize that yes, I really can have two whole doctor's appointments in one day.
I scheduled an eye doctor appointment and then had nightmares from the stress the next two days leading up to it. Afterwards did nothing but complain about how unscientific everything about the visit was. I hate doctors so much.
But you'll need to have a complete day off the following day, both to recover from the exhaustion of the previous day and as a reward for going to two appointments.
@@raddaks2039 I figured out my own eye prescription (by graphing the yearly changes of previous exams/prescriptions) then had a doctor I know write me for contacts just so I could avoid going to the eye doctor.
I literally popped out laughing at so many of these because I see them in myself. Some of them I did not realize I did until I saw the examples here; especially the examples of how INTP's respond to other people and or things -- like movies. The nail on the head for me was starting a project on time. I will start at 6:00. Oh, it's 6:00 -- guess I will start at 7:00. That is me. But hey, when I do finally start that project, it will be awesome when completed. But it will be several months of down time before I start the next project. Spot on. Drives my spouse insane. When I start a project that requires several steps or levels to complete, in my spouses mind it is like, 'oh great; wonder how many years this will take to finish?' I know he thinks this, and I could care less. And if he proceeds to push me to get it finished, he inadvertently just added several more years to the project. He has not caught on to that aspect yet. I enjoyed this, thank you.
Beyond accurate. If perfection could exist, this would be a perfect description of an INTP. Sadly however, perfection is impossible. Therefore, this description is good. Well done.

I missed my high school graduation because as we filed into the auditorium for the graduation prep assembly my friend told me I would fit her sister's graduation gown from the same high school and could borrow it and I said "sweet!", they then proceeded to tell us that we could not rent or borrow our graduation gown that we "WOULD. BUY. THEM. FROM. JOSTENS!" I said "oh yeah? You wanna bet?!" they told me if I didn't, I couldn't go to graduation ceremony, so I didn't. You'd better have a gun to my head if you think you're going to tell me what I will and will not do and expect obedience.
I have had to learn to ask myself internally, do they just want me to sit here and listen or do they want my advice? I'm a little older and still get confused sometimes what someone wants from me. So if they're family or friends, I ask if they are ok with me giving my advice and opinion.
This video is so accurate. I took the test recently and got INTP. I didn’t know about the personality types, and always thoughts something is wrong with me. I self diagnosed myself of either having ADD or OCD because I have a hard time concentrating at work or school, but when I find something interesting I obsessively focus on it by looking at it from different angles, then I forget about it and find something new and interesting to obsess on. The appointments ruining your day is so accurate 😂 I also hate to do lists or journaling. If I write a to do list, then I will forget about the task and never do it. I hate following lists even if I was the one who made the list.
As an INTP, I have to force myself to just stay in productivity mode and not chill, but I wanna stay in bed so bad. I can’t not be comfortable. Also the “I am perfect” is the opposite.
Has anyone in this gang thought about, why....when there is an appointment or activity that demands us to step out of the house later in the day, the entire day feels ruined and useless? Any possible reasons and solutions to this?
Anything that puts us in a position of such an importance, that we're allotted a certain time span for it, just ourselves, makes us feel overly curious about how the appointment thing will begin, how it'll reach a peak, how it'll end, the outcomes, the process, what could and couldn't go wrong, what should and shouldn't go wrong, how and what will be our response to what and what not, these are just but a few issues that our ultra intelligent brain cells have to process and within the limited will power that we amass during the entire 24hr cycle that normal people call a calendar day. It's takes up a lot of energy, storage space, focus, hell it puts a dent in the entire space-time continuum around us. So what else do you think is crucial enough to trump this metaphysical task of galactic proportions and commands an iota of our otherwise undivided attention. Hence, the time before and after lay what others may dare to call "wasted".
@@sk61181 I guess, that really resonates with I was thinking too. For me personally I have felt that I concentrate a lot on the process individually than seeing it as a collective one. Eg- if I have to go grocery shopping,....I would see dressing up as a process, then driving an individual process, parking an individual one....and so on. And this takes up a huge data space. But for real though....this is not benefitting us in any way..... How do we adress it?
@@vickyjk1360 Nothing's as accurate as the Caesium atomic clocks, so there isn't a perfect "us" 24x7, there're days and there're days, there's no silver bullet to down the demon, but yes we can make peace with it, trying not to tame it but having a limited ceasefire and that's how sometimes miraculously we're apparantly "normal" too. It's during these so called normal phases, that we should and could get the maximum amount of normal output, from ourselves. We cannot change it, it's hardwired within us, but we can definitely learn to spot the elusive normal phase, try and make the most of it and be at peace, secretly within.
@@sk61181 how do you find that normal time where you are working beyond these frictions of dragging forces that limits us to the habits we are used to. If we do want to succeed as much as any other ambitious person, what do we do to come in terms with these not so socially acceptable default settings and tweak it to benefit us?
@@vickyjk1360 Sadly dear, there's no one-size-fits-all, 500mg twice a day with meals remedy, for this. You have to be alert even in this dreamy state, try, try and try, trials and errors, more permutations and combinations than what algebra haunted us with. For example, my house and workplace are perpetually in shambles, but the moment I get a hint someone is about to visit, the months long task of clean-up gets done in a matter of minutes and in the most efficient way, we're really talented at that, you know. Maybe this is my normal, 'cause it has worked in most other arenas too. Just be with the other you that's within, all the time, know that person, in and out. You'll find your "tell", spot it, catch it, use it and reuse it. It's a win-win. But under no circumstances, try to beat yourself to be or match the other normals, you'll be forcing in vain.
INTPs tend to be depressed in HS until they come to this realization. They think it is them when it is really other people. I developed in HS the moto "never assume intelligence". It has helped many times in life. If you are not aware of it, look up the Dunning-Kruger Principle and the theory of Relative Intelligence. Two things that should be in the INTP handbook.

We went to a paintball outdoor arena and worked as a team. It was really fun and we learned a few things, including me. Pretty good day out! I was smiling afterwards. But yeah, that was just a daydream. Back to thinking about work...
12:51 Yeah, an appointment at 2:30 PM means you cannot do anything else the whole day, especially if it involves an Excel spreadsheet, creating a Powerpoint, or Googling stuff because you might get too involved and forget the appointment. I definitely nail down the time I'm going to leave if it requires travel and set an alarm. Still makes me anxious as the time gets closer, but it's better than the stress of getting distracted and being late. I think about a checklist of all the things I'll need to do or be ready for. I play out the expected sequence of events in my head, and if I don't know what to expect, I research or accept that I may need to ask for help at certain parts. As an example, going to the dentist: - bring my wallet, keys, phone, and water bottle (I like to be able to easily hydrate when I'm out and about) - drive to the place (usually after having looked at the route at least once in GPS, would probably help even more if I practice drove the route beforehand) - get checked in and into the waiting room - dentist appointment stuff (may have to talk/make decisions if they find cavities) - pay and leave - drive home Usually I think about what I'll need to do and then decide what supplies I'll want to bring to do those things. Also think about what topics I'll want to keep in my mind in case there's something important I'll have to remember or talk about. Helps to write stuff down or type it in my phone notes. I hope my example helps a bit.

You're not competing with another person. You're competing with ME. Yes.
@@chinadoll7 same. I was punished at summer camp for something and had to sit at the adult table. I refused to eat there. It was easy. Never even felt hungry.
@@solopensando2987 lol used to bury my food in planters my parents had those plants are still alive due to my fertilization lol
Same, there were a few times a friend called me to play and my mom said the same. But I didn't wanted neither, so I just stayed watching TV.
That "I dislike myself", "I am perfect" meme hit home, and the more stressful the situation the calmer I get, I am the go to guy when the zombie apocalypse occurs. Arguing inside my own head and making up those brilliant comebacks for things that were never actually said just get filed away for if that situation ever happens, then we are prepaired. We might be weird, but we are efficient. lol
The feeling's mutual
One of the worst things about being an intp is when you have a banger idea and you throw your phone away to go and do that idea but suddenly, you feel all of that motivation just flying off your soul
And I mean YOU FEEL IT GOING!
Chilling stressfully totally 😂
That's so relatable as an INTP that I can't stop laughing
Chilling stressfully.
That's how I got here in the first place... binge watch memes while procrastinating, trying to fool myself that things due tomorrow can be done tomorrow (1AM - 5AM)
"Then they come up with a really good comeback to something that was never actually said."
💯🤣 I felt that one in my bones.
Oooof
true,dude.
😅
You basically helped me fully confirm INTP. I'll come back here, when I start doubting it again. Thank you.
I'm back.
there are many things scientificly off with whole " personality idea, how can you fully confirm???!
The fact that you doubt it, probably makes you more INTP. Welcome back.
@@elvanoir4790 lmao
@@elvanoir4790 that's true I tested my mbti and everything matches with me as an INTP but again I doubt it 🙂
Oh my looooord, the part about being calm in chaos and stressed in normalcy is ON👏🏻 POINT👏🏻. I’ve been told that I am mellow and chill when everything is on fire, but as soon as things are boring and calm, my mind is creating a scenario of everything being on fire or some imaginary confrontation where I actually have a good comeback, just to feel alive. 😂
“Chilling stressfully” is the most accurate thing ever said to describe an INTP. I feel called out. *Continues video stressfully chilled*
Spot on with a single appointment ruining the entire day. I was actually scheduling with one doctor who mentioned a date and I stated I had an appointment with another doctor that same date before she made me realize that yes, I really can have two whole doctor's appointments in one day.
Two whole doctor's appointments 😂😂 sounds terrible 😄
@@BenjaminSpicy As you know, it really was 😂😂
I scheduled an eye doctor appointment and then had nightmares from the stress the next two days leading up to it.
INTP: doesn’t make it through the whole video because they saw something they questioned and needed to google it
I'm googling now how to get rid of ruinning all my day with appointment and trying to search smth about it comments... fck
20mins is impossible. I needed a rest after 3.
Real
nah
How did you know??
this is way too accurate
It's more than 30 seconds damn it
Yes.
extremely accurate
HOW DO YOU KNOW ME? reality has never hit me harder then this lol.. this is so accurate.
Well done.
How can something be "beyond accurate"? Especially personality video referring to scientifically criticised personality idea... how can it be accurate? You feel this describes you, well many people think that about horoscope too.
@@kanalmeta beyond accurate=beyond current ability to quantify. At it's core, everything is scientifically criticized. That doesn't automatically make the critics correct.
This is such an INTP environment, we are crazy
Everyone says it's accurate (it is), but your delivery makes it so much better xD
How you know it's accurate? Great procent of people feel horoscope is accurate. Just because it makes you feel good about yourself?
@@kanalmeta not feel good but feel the same. Not sure if that's what really intps though but ive taken the test and this video confirms my current situation.
Sounds british like Tommyinnit
I laughed so hard at “I don’t know tho. Do whatever you want.” I do that ALL the time lmaaooo
That chillin stressfully is so real - I'm doing it right now.
4:21 If I am eating some vegetables, I start looking up the health benefits of Zucchini or whatever. Or I am eating some grilled cheese, and I need to look up the entire history of grilled cheese.
I would like to point out that in the Great Depression, Americans made up the "Cheese Dream," which was a pan-fried piece of bread with a slice of cheese on top. During WWII, two of these "sandwiches" were put together to create what we know as the "Grilled Cheese" today.
Benjamin man your INFP is showing. It's still very accurate but it sounds like it's coming from more of your INFP traits
I have to agree. It's a bit on the quirky side. Not to say intp's aren't quirky but the style is definitely infp.
Yeah, when I saw the title my reaction was "oh what does he mean by normal people. There is no such thing as normal people, so this video must be inaccurate"🤔 still fun to watch tho
Well this is perfect for me I guess. I usually get something hovering just left or right of 50% on the T-F scale
as an INTP, i can agree that most of these are accurate
There are only two types of people- A normal one and an INTP....🤣
There are only 10 types of people:
ISFJ, ISTJ, ESFJ, ESTJ, ISFP, ISTP, ESFP, ESTP, INFJ, INFP, ENFJ, ENFP, INTJ, INTP, ENTJ, ENTP and those who did not expect this to be in base 17.

16:00 "no one tells INTP what to do", so true.
INTP's manager:
A) I tell you to do X.
B) or else...
INTP: Cool, I am fine with B.
Manager gets confused.
INTP: Or I can propose C.
Manager disappears.
INTP Manager : ooh....that's interesting
LOL SUPER TRUE
Damn this shit is too funny.
This is accurate.
As an INTP, this is spookily accurate.
"Are you in the solution orientation phase, or the feeling phase?" The first internal question all of us ask when someone presents a problem!
I'm 33, it's been a while I've laughed this hard. I just learned about this personality test. Figured I fit this. This is hilarious
As an INTP, I have to force myself to just stay in productivity mode and not chill, but I wanna stay in bed so bad. I can’t not be comfortable. Also the “I am perfect” is the opposite.
I tried doing this multiple times. It never worked...
Am an intp male, as a teenager i was shocked to find out that some people don't think....am still amazed..
Wdym some people don’t think?
Yes, humans are fundamentally illogical. You had The Revelation early, or maybe I just had it rather late.
What do you mean? Please explain in full details.
How is that even possible?
Oh my gosh thank you. I think I understand other people so much better now.

12:51 Yeah, an appointment at 2:30 PM means you cannot do anything else the whole day, especially if it involves an Excel spreadsheet, creating a Powerpoint, or Googling stuff because you might get too involved and forget the appointment. @@ИльяЗавертайло I try to distract myself with hobbies until the time comes, but it lessens my anxiety a lot more when I vaguely pre-plan.
As an example, going to the dentist:
- bring my wallet, keys, phone, and water bottle (I like to be able to easily hydrate when I'm out and about)
- drive to the place (usually after having looked at the route at least once in GPS, would probably help even more if I practice drove the route beforehand)
- get checked in and into the waiting room
- dentist appointment stuff (may have to talk/make decisions if they find cavities)
- pay and leave
- drive home
Usually I think about what I'll need to do and then decide what supplies I'll want to bring to do those things. Also think about what topics I'll want to keep in my mind in case there's something important I'll have to remember or talk about. Helps to write stuff down or type it in my phone notes.
I hope my example helps a bit.
