- I put this one up today instead of yesterday.And posted my antique store haul yesterday. Tomorrow is my Easter decorations. It’s really is gorgeous. I was lucky enough to thrift it a long time ago. It just seemed to be great for my brooches. I try to keep them so they aren’t just piled in a bunch so no stones or anything get ruined. Thank you

When you buy a brooch, do you stick to a budget? What was your most expensive find? I’ve recently started searching for pieces that talk to me. So glad I found your channel.
With most things I do buy it’s almost always because I am drawn to it for whatever reason. There are some pieces I just fall in love with instantly. Thinking about it the most expensive thing I have bought was years ago, a 1900’s ring and the second was a beautiful cameo brooch. But honestly my most price possession is my grandmother’s wedding ring I inherited. She was married for 75 years and her ruby red bowl I have shown in a recent video. I want to thank you for that question because it really made me think. There’s so many things I have collected that I love so much like my brooch collection which is still growing and my vintage purses. And it has to do a lot with the fact they give me so much joy because they remind me of my mom and grandmother who are no longer here. The things that I am drawn to always make me think, where has this piece been, who owned it and because it’s made it far enough it made it into my hands I will take care of it because someone loved it like I do. I have some of the brooches I see yoh have and am !earning to value or price them as well as find makers for unmarked ones but any advise would be so greatly appreciated ❤
Yes some of them are really hard to find the makers mark. I do have a few books also to help. Sometimes you can google lens search them but doesn’t always work. I know that Macys has put out a lot of brooches over years and most are not marked. Which makes it hard. ❤️🎄
Where do you get the boxes with glass tops?
I’ve gotten most of mine from thrift stores And a few from Hobby Lobby. Where I am they were easy to thrift.they are called shadow boxes. Thank you for watching.
You seem not to have them in any orderly assembly, like colour or size. Easier for you to see if someone has misplaced an item in their pocket.
Thank you for your comment. I have them in different ways. Like my grandmothers and moms. Also by my favorites. It doesn’t seem like it but I can find what I would like to. I also have accumulated many more since I made this video and have recently thrifted more beautiful containers for them. When I’m able to organize the newer ones I will do an update video. Last count I had over 500 and doesn’t count my Christmas it is like an addiction I to love them and wear at least one a day sometimes more I put rhinestones on my jean jacket I love your storage ideas especially the round one with the sections
