I hate to be "that" guy but the quote is from The Wide World Of Sports that aired on ABC.

There’s a photo of Lightning Hopkins playing a Vega. Cheers from the Micronesia Blues Society on the island of Guam.

Greetings from New Hampshire! It would make such a perfect blues rig wouldn't it?

Id say this was a session players guitar with the jack setup! This guitar has probably played on lots of recordings! Great repair

Back in the 50's, those connectors were standard equipment on microphones as well.

Interesting old guitar. I don’t know how well known they were in the USA but I’ve never seen a Vega guitar here in the UK. You did a great job renewing the wiring on the bridge pickup, did you also renew the wiring on the neck one? It looked like a precision job and your dental tool came in very handy, I was on edge watching you manipulate those thin wires. The finished guitar had a very distinctive sound, a bit of a change from the usual LP style instrument.

Vega was known for making banjos.

Yes both pickups were done in the same manner. All the pots, wires and caps as well as the switch. Thanks for watching!

Yes. They come in many configurations too. Amphenol is still in business believe it or not! They make many connectors for the military and general public.

I share this shop with several other luthiers. It's a very busy shop! I usually edit that stuff out but went simple this time.
