  • There is nothing else like that first trimester exhaustion is there?
    This pregnancy yoga flow is designed to help open up the heart and lungs (your breath is your best friend when it comes to increasing energy) and gently opening the hips.
    While it has been created with the first trimester in mind it is safe to practice throughout any of the three trimesters. (I'm actually in my third in this video).

    Currently 9w with my 2nd, and I’ve been really enjoying your first trimester stretches since I found out I’m pregnant. I keep coming back to this one over and over again :)

    Thank you so much for creating this short class, it was so needed! I am at 8 weeks and constantly feeling nauseous now and tired that I am just sleeping most of the time. This simple sequence really helped me not only to ease back into my yoga practice but gently energise myself when I wake. Thank you :)

    I am very excited to try this! I normally do not like yoga and prefer HIIT training, but that is obviously not good for a pregnant woman. I'm very glad to have found some stretches/poses that are safe for me without being too taxing because I'm SO tired.

      Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. After the first trimester you will probably find you have some energy back to do more but it's great that you're taking the time to slow down now. Your body is doing so much in the first trimester! x

    Hi Bettina,
    Thank you so much for creating these practices. I was struggling with anxiety & worry. I found these vids at just the right time. It’s really resonating & your energy is so calming!
    I’m wondering if you have any tips on strengthening knees. I’m now 11 weeks & have always had problems with my knees but I worry for the extra weight as I head into second & third! Some poses will put pressure on the caps & I have to adjust. They creak a lot haha.
    Thank you, thank you, thank you..
    Alice x

      You’re welcome Alice and congratulations! Have you seen a physio or anyone about your knees? As long as you gain weight gradually, the strength of your legs should grow with your bump. As for yoga, yes just avoid poses that put too much pressure on the knee cap.

    I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby . I don't remember being this exhausted before. Do you have any other tips ? Thank you . Enjoyed the video.

      Congratulations Carmella. I suspect you're probably tired because you already have three children! The actual running after them that you do (and thinking for them), but also because each pregnancy does deplete our body. Have you had your nutrient levels checked by a naturopath or dr? You could be running low on things like iron which makes the exhaustion worse. Good luck. x

    Hello! Great video, thank you. I was just wondering, when you're sitting on your knees and placing your head on your hands for that stretch just before child's pose, I found myself rocking my pelvis, unsure where to tuck it in or not. Any recommendations?

    • @BettinaRae
      @BettinaRae  5 років тому

      Just find a comfortable tilt for you. If it feels better to tuck, do that. Find what feels good for your body. X
