Took longer than it should have, but for anyone who wants to see more of the run, his Twitch VoDs are posted on his second UA-cam channel - NilausTV. Hope this helps people with the gap that's missing between Episode 2 and this one (3).

Man it's really hard to see anything a lot of the time.

What happened to Moder, Yagluth and Queen? In part 2 you just killed Bonemass. Too bad you didn’t continue the whole way, would have been interesting.

I was actually looking forward to watching the progress through the Mountains, Plains, and the Mists. Sad that it wasn't done. At least not on the UA-cam side. :(

Seeing the bases you build makes me want to play this game.... Seeing the combat reminds me that no I don't....
Like it's kinda fun when I've got great and food that's like two areas ahead of what we're doing. Like running around with silver gear to do dark forest stuff.
Like if the game had combat difficulty options below the current easiest option... That isn't just "only the enemies I actually attack will fight back"....
Like there's a definite skill floor for this game and it makes "getting gud" an absolute miserable chore. Like the person I was playing with has a lot more tolerance for difficulty bullshit... Their first attempt involved them killing the first boss with their bare hands because it followed them to their base near the start point... And they were in a death loop doing a bit of damage each time they respawned. And that didn't put them off the game.... But basically every time we made any progress the game would do something to wreck it... Trying to tame boars? Yeah a raid broke the fence and they're so dead.... Bread a pack of wolves? Yeah a swarm of trolls killed them all... Spend hours sailing looking for swamps with the dungeons you need for iron? Lol none of them have those. Check the map online and the one that looked big enough that we were prepping to go... Yeah no... There's one on an island off the other side of the continent. Just everything about this game felt like it didn't respect our time.
Like the most fun I had was when I was basically cheating to make the game feel like it was finally being fair. And I got to see way way way way more of the game than the person who wasn't cheating before the game lost all of the fun and was just insultingly miserable to play.
Meanwhile somebody we introduced to gaming recently who is over 50 and still learning the basic muscle memory of using a controller is now completing vampire survivors on a 3rd platform... And I thought I was going to bail on that game after one death.... But it made learning how to play fun and rewarding.
While just watching somebody else play valheim is getting miserable.

It's wild to me people like you exist. I am absolute casual and Valheim was my first survival game ever, and i finished this game first time with friends, and next time solo - game seemed a bit too easy at times - it's all about preparation and not rushing and pushing through tbh. Any death or death loop can be so easily avoided once u analyze what u have done in order to end up there, i dont even parry in combat im just spam clicking stuff to death but im just prepared. Finished Ashlands on Hard+ last week with 2 friends, blind playthrough, died like 20-25 times there but idk every death is avoidable and sensible.
To complain about this game difficulty is in my eyes like an admission of the type of person you are. Uncreative, lazy, impatient, american? Maybe Im going too far idk, seems wild to me. Most mobs on normal are so easy to kill its insane. You have to try to die on normal once u have proper gear for ur biome to actually die.

swtich to easy and no death penalty if you're a more casual player, it really helps

Ashlands is 100% a blast and a super entertaining challenge. Smoothbrains should stick to the meadows tho.

That boatride to Ashlands looks absolutely miserable, I can't imagine why they would make it this tedious. Hard pass.
