Where did you buy these? The reason I ask is that Apple normally has a 15 day return window (not 1 month) regardless of the retailer you purchase them from.
I have never understood people wearing over the ear headphones at the gym. It makes zero sense! All that sweat, risk of damage, they get in the way…the best earbuds I have found for running/working out are the Beats Fit Pro. They look and sound better than air pods. I will be picking the Air Pod Max’s up as soon as the 2nd gen arrives though (hopefully with the A-2 chip for travels and around the house.
I use them everyday and to be honest they are without doubt the best headphones you can buy... Sony, Seinhesser, Beats.... just don't match... If you are an apple person ... nothing is as good..
Maybe one day UA-cam will recommend my videos more 😵💫😂 but until then I’m just trying to make the best videos I can and whoever enjoys them is good enough for me😊 appreciate the support tho and maybe I can whip some editing tutorial up in the near future 😏
Sounds like you really need to stick with earbuds. You're comparing apples to oranges. Earbuds for the gym! I just pick these up knowing that they are three years in. Doesn't matter, I did side by side testing against the B&O H95, Master and Dynamics MW75 and Bowers and Wilkins PX8. The AirPods Max more than hold their own. The case isn't ridiculous. I don't pack my gear with nails. Do you see what other over the ear headphones have for cases? They are huge!!! The AirPods Max isn't for you, that's the problem here, not the product.
My airpods max suddenly wont connect and if connected there is no sound. After taking it to a nearest service center. They said the repair will cost more than 100% of the original price of a brand new airpods max. They advised me to just get a new one because it will be much cheaper. my airpods max only lasted for 1yr and 6months. I only use it at home while watching movies or playing games on my ipad and iphone
I've been so tempted to pick these up as of late but I'm going to definitely wait until Apple's September event just in case they reveal the AirPods Max 2

Over the ear closed back headphones are usually hotter, so that's not specific to these. It's a tradeoff for their particular sound. As another commenter mentioned, the thought of wearing these to the gym would never enter my mind. You could, but why would you? Just not what they're made for.
Overall agree on all points made aside from one, that these are not designed to wear at the gym in any way/shape/form so I'm not entirely sure why or how it's relevant in the product review but aside from that all points made were spot on :)

To add to my woes, Apple’s support strategy for the AirPods Max has left much to be desired. After a visit to the Apple Store, they replaced one of the cuffs, but shockingly, it was a slightly different shade from the original - a subtle but noticeable discrepancy. To top it off, the headband now looks like it has a ‘sunburn’ with peeling all over. This kind of wear and tear, which isn’t even covered by the warranty, makes me question the hefty price tag. Is it truly worth it for a product with such an inconsistent support strategy? 🎧🤔👎🏼
As a sound engineer and audiophile, these headphones were designed for Apple Music. I noticed you use Spotify… That’s a mistake haha. Spotify’s compression algorithms over compress music more than Apple Music which effects sound quality and loudness.
I think the Sony WH-1000XM4s are the best choice of over-ear headphones right now even if there are the XM5s, you can charge them via usb c, they have the 3.5mm headphone jack, you can fold them and they came with a very nice protective case if you're traveling with them. I've wanted so bad for the last couple of years and I hope to get them soon
I have the XM4s I tried the Airpod Max but returned them I just prefer XM4’s, great headphones, have an on/off button, great bass and noise canceling, foldable, usb-c, cheaper The Max are great too but the price difference with other brands isn’t justified
would for sure pick the over the ear headphones over the ear buds...I can not stand any kind of ear bud in my ears...very uncomfortable for me....will wait for the airpod Max 2 to come out....cheers all from Canada

Agreed. I just haven’t been much of a fan of over-the-ear headphones anymore. In-ear are just much easier to deal with for stuff like the gym and traveling. Your editing is getting so skilled, man. Looks very professional. Keep it up! 🙂

Honestly yes I would! But if you already have AirPods Pro and love those / use them all the time then I’d still suggest to hold off on these as the 2nd gen should hopefully be released sometime this year 😭 I have no idea but really hoping since it’s been so many years now without a revamp

Go for the new beta! Mine has been very stable with very minor bugs. The only bug I've run into is after a workout the app won't load again until you close it out which isn't a big deal to do at all. But the new features that come with Watch OS 10 make it so worth it!!!
I'm packing and returning mine after 4 days of use. Why? Well first the "case" or whatever it's called is a joke. It certainly doesn't protect the headphones. It looks more like a mini-bra.They are very heavy, (around 385 grams I think). The sound is great, pairing easy. What I don't like is that it has no on/off button. (I have 3 pairs of other headphones, Sony. Bose and Bowers and they all have this.). The worse thing is tho....2nd important thing for me after sound. (altho' both go hand-in-hand). The comfort is terrible.especially when you wear glasses. After 2 hours the pressure on my ears is so strong I have to take them off (for a pause).. (and I have an average-sized head). Actually, the only thing (besides the sound) I like about them is the volume crown. No... even tho I have several articles from Apple (Mac, iPhone, iPad, Watch )for 520 Euros these Headphones are too expensive.
I returned after 1 wk. Audio was awesome but can't justify paying over 500 bucks for something that make my ears uncomfortably hot after 10 minutes. I would pay no more than 300.00 for this thing but it aint worth 500.00!!!! When the Max 2 come out and they drop the price for Max 1 to something reasonable, I might reconsider again. I wouldn' mind wearing it for 10 - 15 min at a time just to listen to my fav tunes.
Mine are trash. They don't turn off, constantly connect when I don't even use them, not loud enough, and 500 dollars. I had mine a day and I'm selling mine. I'll take 2 regular Airpods and the change these Max's are the worst pair of headphones I've ever had. I'd rather have dollar store earbuds that turn off and they already have a step up.
These by far are the most wishy washy apple devices ever made!! I bought mine about a year ago and the connectivity just got worse & worse until the point that I couldn’t even connect to my devices!! (iPad Pro & iPhone 14 pro max) …As expensive as these things are it is completely unacceptable for the connectivity to be this bad!!! I had to get my pair sent off to get fixed THREE DIFFERENT TIMES! And they still ended up not working. 🤦🏾♂️ so now Apple is telling me I can “trade them in” for a new pair..and oh by the way I only need to pay $300 more dollars for them since they are out of warranty!!! 🤬

I feel they’re more towards luxury listening. I plan on getting them for home and traveling usage. I wouldn’t bring 500 dollar headphones to the gym

The ear cups smell if you sweat, you can’t wash them and it cost 100$ for replacements.
You can wash them though, just put them in a pillowcase
