i saw roy wood live about 10 years ago playing a small venue in lancashire. it was on 23rd december and the support were mud and showaddywaddy. things ran late and roy wood only came on at 11 pm and the curfew was midnight so everyone thought he whould just do a hour. we were all singing this at about 1 in the morning on the 24th, great concert.

Hi, to be honest with you, I’m not familiar with much of his stuff from the 60s. It was when ‘Forever’ was released and he played ever vocal and instrument, I thought back then as a teen, he’s a musical genius.

Sounds not like the first time but a recent recording by THOSE people - whic is fine. Acoustics in that place would not have allowed sax and everything to sound right without local microphones.

@@davidmacgregor5193seen your reply, as an active musician who has worked alongside lip syncers...I'm sorry but that's not a live performance. For 1 wood is standing away from the microphone moving back and fourth and the voice doesn't regulate in volume (obvious for a studio recording), then the instruments arnt plugged in or miced up, and lastly there's noone playing any sleigh bells or tambourines on stage yet they are so high in the mix.
Fair play to him for getting out and doing it and I appreciate your a fan, but this is a studio recording being mimed to.

holy crap just enjoy the happy spirit ... not everything has to be perfect.
It isn't lip-synched, woody is singing live, the audio and video are out of sync. I've seen Woody and his Rock 'n' Roll Band in concert a dozen times, so I know when he is singing live.
I just find it amazing how they’re able to record saxophones without microphones and how you can hear Roy without him moving his lips.

Going to Heaven is easy!
