I used to play french a lot when AOEIV was released... I'm not playing the game right now anymore but if I recall correctly the chinese and mongols are the top dogs in this game right now? At any rate that does seem to have carried on from AoEII...

As a streams enjoyer, I like Rus, Mongols and HRE. Because I am mainly a mix of Rus and Mongols living in Germany.

The Delhi are my favorite because of the free tech upgrades. I don't care as much about the elephants (though I still like to use them, so the stereotype isn't too far off). The description of elephants as tanks was entertaining though.

The abbasid and the rus are my two go to favorites for sure, if I want a long game I go for chinese. I can't wait to see what new civs are next!

I would bet, the three next civs gonna be Byzantines, Vikings/Danemark and Japanese. That's two hares in one stone: they are popular so that you can boost sales, and they are diverse so that you can get creative.

Great video. Personally a big fan of French playstlye ( strong eco plus harass with heavy cav) but haven't gotten into using them much due to being so overpowered. Am looking forward to the day I will finally be able to play French as a balanced civ when one of the patches comes in buffing spears vs cav and nerfing hulks. Vive la France! 🇫🇷

I'm a Brit but found the Delhi Sultanate to be the civ that kept bringing me back to the game. I think people were sleeping on the Delhi on release

Delhli's a little bit weird bc you can't really bring their most powerful units into play until you've got your economy really going.
The way he describes the delhi sultanate is why I play the Khmer in AoE2.

Also why is nest of bees overpowered?? They are by far the worst mangonel unit in the game...
the lankdmark makes them 50% more durable, and the NOB has to have some sort of faster movement or reload or better area of effect, mangonels kinda suck, NOB melt shit lol
They have a strange damage dispersion, but NoB has almost twice the attack speed of mangonels, with a few of them and good targeting, they are far superior to mangos

I'm a chinese main, and for me, I love china because of the AOE damage they are specialized in.
I'm kinda bad at AOE games...And I just don't know how to freakin counter France except with pikemen but like...BRUH...When I start a game and that there is a France player there is like a 90% chance I fail...LIKE JEEZ...

people who play Delhi are the same ones who play civ games with the sole objective of beating enemy medival units with tanks and planes

My favourite civilization is French and Mongols since Age of Empires IV won't allow the player changes the color choice (blue by default), which blue is also the color of French and Mongols flag from Age of Empires IV. Can you play Age of Empires IV in 1v3 Intermediate AI with Intermediate Mode ? Here's the list:
1. Mongols (Blue, Player 1, You) VS Chinese (Red, Player 2) & Abbasid Dynasty (Yellow, Player 3) & Delhi Sultanate (Green, Player 4)
2. French (Blue, Player 1, You) VS English (Red, Player 2) & Holy Roman Empire (Yellow, Player 3) & Rus (Green, Player 4)
I still think age of empires 3 looks better than 4
