@@tedsilversyeager840You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but the facts speak for themselves. In terms of professional accolades (e.g., Pro Bowl appearances) and/or individual statistics...Haley, Jones, Darrin Smith, Darren Woodson, Chad Hennings, Leon Lett, and Larry Brown played better under Switzer. It's important to note that the roster of the 1995 Super Bowl Champion Cowboys, contained 27 players who never played a down for Jimmy Johnson. That included 2 players (e.g., Larry Allen, Deion Sanders) who may have been the best to ever play their position.
People can say losing Jimmy Johnson cost Dallas to 3-peat. But honestly, the new salary cap plus the 49ers investment in their defense that year were what really stopped Dallas from 3-peat. Emmit's hamstring along with O-line just being decimated with injuries just didn't make things better for the Cowboys.
Super Sexy Sega haha. I can see you know nothing of football. The moose himself said that Dallas won SB 30 in spite of their coaching. You must be a relative of Switzer’s.
@@RobertJohnson-mn3br No I am not a dick rider of Aikman/Moose though. Fact is the "black players" loved Switzer. Which is 80% of the team. It's just a main stream false narrative of sports writers back in the day that had become gospel. The media doesn't highlight that a change of coach was a good thing for alot of the players. Jimmy's act would have grown old and the players would have quit on him, he left before they had a chance.
Super Sexy Sega I don’t doubt that with million dollar spoiled athletes that what you said may in fact had turned out to become true. But, you can’t deny that the cowboys under Switzer’s leadership were an undisciplined team. Jimmy always has the team on edge and ready to run through a brick wall, while good old friend Barry was going to treat the players as “men”. These are the same people, these men, who had a drug and hooker house directly across from the practice field. Barry let the inmates run the asylum. Jimmy was the only word. When his teams played the 49ers they were ready. When Barry’s teams did, they were overmatched. In 2/3 of the games they turned the ball over so many times early that they gave themselves no chance. Barry was a horrible coach. No doubt this team won in 95’ in spite of him. Just two years later he was replaced. Even Jerry saw this as a disaster
John Madden talking about what great fans the Packers have. They knew they couldn't beat the Cowboys, they were just looking for an excuse to come south and get out of the cold.😅 Love those DALLAS COWBOYS.
Imagine a healthy Sharpe a second year Freeman and a healthy Brooks in the same Corps in 96 and beyond. Dynasty. Those packers were phenomenal with Favre at Quarterback My patriots would’ve been in a world of trouble in SB31 in New Orleans
Even with the garbage call nullifying Irvin's catch and the Boys' drive, we still won convicingly. Unfortunately, another terrible no call on a Deion PI at the 1 would cost us the game and the only 3 peat ever. 19:48
I was able to be on the sideline when Cowboys played Raiders in training camp at St. Eds in Austin. Raider corners kept complaining about Irvin pushing off. He knew how to be physical without drawing flags.
what a dime aikman threw to Harper at 24:36 for the TD. wow. what accuracy and a tough throw to make. to throw a perfect pass with your WR in stride and to connect on the money
That opening drive, shew! That audience roar when Emmitt Smith scored. Damn, those 1994 Cowboys. If you compare this win vs 1993 Divisional playoffs, there really is no comparison. The 1993 Cowboys were a # 1 seed hosting a 6th seeded Packers and beat them 27-17, but the 1994 Cowboys were a # 2 seed, an injury riddled team, and beat a Packers team that was a 4th seed, beating them 35-9. Meaning the 1994 win was a lot better just because the Cowboys were the 2nd seed and the Packers were a 4th seed.
The 93 Game was 27-17 but the Cowboys really dominated the game. It was 24-3 at one point until late in the 4th when Farve got a couple of late touchdowns.
It's tough. The 1993 Cowboys lost the first 2 games without Emmitt. Probably win both if he's there. Then the Thanksgiving Day Leon Lett Ice Bowl fiasco. Cowboys only lost 4 games in 1993 and 3 of those losses could have EASILY been wins. Think Aikman said the 1994 team was their best squad but the Niners grabbed every good to great free agent player available to close the gap. If Emmitt didn't have the hamstring issue and if Dallas didn't sleepwalk in the 1st Quarter of the '94 NFC Title Game...it's winnable. 1993 and 1994 were their best teams for sure.
@@jyl818 Leon does get his redemption in Super Bowl 28 when Dallas was down 13-6 in the opening drive of the 3rd quarter, by stripping the ball from Thurmon Thomas to which James Washington picked up the fumbled ball for a touchdown to tie it at 13 a piece.
Emmitt still hurting a limited in that 1993 contest. Moreover, they were likely looking forward to the “real” SB with San Francisco the next week in 1993 and cruised a bit. In 1994 they played poorly form the stretch and knew if they looked past GB to SF they probably wouldn’t get there!
@justinturley7071 Yeah, he was 8-12 against the Cowboys and he was 1-4 career against the Jets. And he wasn't so great that he didn't spend four years sitting on the bench up there in toilet paperville cultivating his collection of hemorrhoids first before he became the media's darling.
The Cowboys were our roadblock. They always had home field advantage, and E.Smith was like a cheetah. So fast and elusive. Add M.Irvin to that, and their defense, the Cowboys always had Green Bay's number. It sucked but props and respect to them for their abilities.
He was more like a leopard....no wait, more like a gazelle. Yeah that's it, he was like a gazelle fleeing from a cheetah running from a leopard. T.Aikman was like a mighty steed sending balls deep. J.Madden was like a massive whale setting the scene. P.Summeral was just like an old drunk.
1992-1995 were the years you definitely didn't want to play the Cowboys. Either in your own stadium or especially theirs, Texas Stadium. They were a dangerous team. Cause when you saw the Cowboys on your schedule, you might as well take the beating.
Been watching all the 90's Cowboys games. So many times a Cowboy is injured Michael Irvin is right there when the medical staff is checking them on the field. No real comment about this just an observation.
Domination. Amazing team. All the talent. This IS the year they went to San Francisco next and gave up three first quarter turnovers and started the game 21 - 0. It was over immediately. A nightmare of a game. What a shame. Jimmy would have had them ready for that 49er game. The Cowboys would have had FOUR straight Super Bowl championships, at least, with Jimmy Johnson as head coach. I hated Jerry Jones then. I hate Jerry Jones now.
All that idiot needed to do was keep jimmy johnson in place, although Ill say this the 93 49ers were very very good and would have taken some beating. I think Cowboys winning 3 over that era was still a good total, maybe they could have won 4 with Jimmy Johnson as coach.
WHY did I have to look. Ugh the pain that the play brought back. I'll give them credit though, it was a helluva run after the catch. But as a Packers fan the Cowboys were our stopping block. Again though I have to give them respect even if I don't like em....lol. ROTFLCMEO..CRYING MY EYES OUT. But seriously they had a great offensive line and, oh hell they were stacked.
The only thing that even kept the Packers in the game is Emmitt going down. 32:11. This also may be the only reason Dallas didn't 4 peat too- Emmitt's hamstring.
I loved and hated the 94 jerseys loved the style but hated it bc it kept reminded me of what could've been 3peat if we didn't spot SF 21pts plus refs not calling the P.I. on Primetime
@The Foundation I couldn’t agree more I never wore that jersey again after that season and we could’ve overcame those three turnovers but Barry switzer on a would be scoring drive got a 15yd penalty that cost us big

The Cowboys were playing like shit the last month and coasted through December. They were able to turn it on when needed and crush the Packers when they needed to. even if Emmitt's injuries and Aikman's injuries, they still had the talent to go out there and win and be the best team in the NFL. On the other hand, the 49ers did everything in their power for that one season to get free agents to beat the Cowboys. They got Deion, Ricky Jackson, Gary Plummer, Bart Oates, and Ken Norton Jr to have enough talent to overcome the Cowboys and they did the next week. For the Cowboys, they went into the NFC Championship game cocky that their previous lost to the 49ers was a fluke and they got a rude awakening with 3 turnovers that led to a 21-0 lead.
redmustang04 redmustang04 and what’s crazy is they almost won that game with Troy and Michael Irvin and Barry switzer screwed a drive for us with a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty
I was a Cowboy fan. But I have also always been a fan of smart coaching. Holmgren made a huge mistake at 4:31 of the first half, by chasing points. He should have just kicked the easy extra point. I'm no NFL head coach, but I know one thing that a lot of them don't know. It is this: DON'T CHASE POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF! NEVER NEVER NEVER! The defense will loosen up in the 2nd half. If your offense is anything other than completely feeble, you will have a chance to chase points in the 2nd half. Unless you energize the opposing defense by chasing points in the first half! Which Green Bay did here. In this game, the Packers scored a TD in the 2nd quarter, but got demoralized by missing their 2 point conversion. An easy point after would have cut the lead to a FG and a TD. Instead, they went without the conversion. And became demoralized. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. chase points in the first half. I've seen literally more than a thousand NFL games. Chasing points in the 1st half puts you in the hole. Period. It works on some wildly rare occassions, but the risk is not worth the rare reward. DON'T CHASE POIINTS IN THE FIRST HALF.
This was a great season for Dallas, if they could have played a clean game against S.F. they would have beat them and the Chargers and won a third straight Super Bowl.
Hey, bud! Great work. I was wondering if you access to that 1994 Bills Vs. Packers game. No one seems to have it, and I've been looking all over the internet for some time for it. I mean it's Favre Vs. Kelly.. that's a big time matchup. Just let me know if you do, that'd be awesome! Thanks, bud.
They won another sb without him & jay novacek retirement was the downfall of the cowboys offense. In 94 instead of drafting DE Shante Carver they should've drafted WR isaac bruce he was still on the board
Barry Switzer never really coached these teams. He lived off the work ethic that Jimmy Johnson instilled into his players, but by 1997 it had completely worn off.
Uhhh I don't think so. Maybe a little closer but not that much more, some nobody named Jason Garrett carved em up in Thanksgiving, with Sterling Sharpe playing.
Emmitt Smith had more yards in one drive against the Packers than Barry Sanders had in an entire game. Barry may have been the better runner but Emmitt found the holes and ran through them. Emmitt had a better O line than Barry sure but Emmitt still had to hit the holes and take advantage. I'd take Emmitt any day over Barry. So glad he was a Cowboy.
We got them up in Green Bay the season after Super Bowl New Orleans. 47-17. I remember Madden saying exactly well you finally beat em and u just didnt beat them u beat the dickens out of em
What stopped dallas was the 21 point off turnovers on the 1st quarter. Dallas lost 38-28. Take away the 21 turnover points dallas wins. Should would coulda. Ultimately Switzer and Jerry ruined what could have been the best team for a long time
Jerry Jones and Barry Switzer turned the ball over damn.. I swore Aikman threw a pick 6, and Irvin/Kevin Williams fumbled. My memory must be failing me.

It's hard to admire physically average quarterbacks in great situations like Troy Aikman. It's very easy to win three super bowls when you're surrounded by some of the best talent in NFL history let alone the league in that era. It's pretty hard to screw that up. Should we give credit to him for that? Aikman never won a league MVP and he never led the league in any efficiency metrics. He wasn't even the best quarterback of his era. You put Young, Favre, Marino, or Elway on those teams and they would put up crazy numbers. Certainly better than the mediocre statistics and achievements Aikman had.
It's not his fault that they didn't throw the ball 35 - 40 times a game !! When Elway was putting up crazy numbers was he winning sb's 🤔? Marino put up great numbers but where that get him? If Aikman had a chance to play in a pass happy offense he would also put up crazy numbers just like he did against the redskins in when he threw for 500 yds down 20 points to comeback and win in ot

@@denniseverett1904 You ain't kidding. We were that good in 94. We just had some bad luck. No doubt our best team to not win a super bowl.
Irvin gets em again! What a beast! 43:18
That was a hell of a play by Jay Novacek on that third and short!!
Brian Chua all true, but rewatch NFC championship game. That team was not ready for that game. For that I blame Switzer.
@@RobertJohnson-mn3br Ignorant comment.
I was a season ticket holder. I was at this game. Those were the days.
John Madden talking about what great fans the Packers have. They knew they couldn't beat the Cowboys, they were just looking for an excuse to come south and get out of the cold.😅 Love those DALLAS COWBOYS.
The 94/95 season would mark Sterling Sharpe's final year with Green Bay
Sad day when he got hurt he was one of my childhood idols that man belongs in the Hall of Fame
People forgot how good he was had it not been for him getting injured Sterling would've been one of the all time greats
@@whatscraccintvwithjmilitant him and Robert Brooks would have been a problem for any defense
Imagine a healthy Sharpe a second year Freeman and a healthy Brooks in the same Corps in 96 and beyond. Dynasty. Those packers were phenomenal with Favre at Quarterback
My patriots would’ve been in a world of trouble in SB31 in New Orleans
Sharpe in 7 years as a packer
8,000 career yards
Triple crown in the 92/93 season
24:34-24:38:: Aikman had a Cannon😮😮😮😮
That ball was seriously on the money!! Mr. Summerall called it a perfect strike and it was!!!
Dallas dominated that game. The Cowboys were just getting ready for the 49ers in 1993.
Favre owned the 49ers, but the Cowboys owned him.
Rodgers owns the Cowboys, but the 49ers have owned him.
U owned that comparison
He didnt play bad vs them the Cowboys were much better than 2012-2015 49ers
Favre was 0-9 in Texas Stadium.
@justinturley7071
Yeah, he was 8-12 against the Cowboys and
he was 1-4 career against the Jets.
Probably enjoying how Green Bay plays Dallas these day's. Dallas sucks now, because of Jerry Jones.
@@jackduncan5442 It'll turn around when PIMP Jerry is dead.
Madden and shmmeral were special
Still can't believe how Jerry Jones destroyed this at least 4 times superbowl champion team
All that idiot needed to do was keep jimmy johnson in place, although Ill say this the 93 49ers were very very good and would have taken some beating. I think Cowboys winning 3 over that era was still a good total, maybe they could have won 4 with Jimmy Johnson as coach.
You didn't beat us in 94 and 3-Peat because of your injuries and our homefield advantage.
Pretty easy to see that.
@@kidmack3556That’s probably why the Broncos spoiled the Patriots three peat attempt 11 years later as well.

I miss that Captain America Style music they’d play when Dallas broke the huddle.

Chris Kreager The camera work on that play was top notch. Loved the zoom in after the catch.
WHY did I have to look. Ugh the pain that the play brought back.
I'll give them credit though, it was a helluva run after the catch. But as a Packers fan the Cowboys were our stopping block. Again though I have to give them respect even if I don't like em....lol. The only thing that even kept the Packers in the game is Emmitt going down.
32:11. This also may be the only reason Dallas didn't 4 peat too- Emmitt's hamstring.
Nice upload, Bart! Looking 👀 for 1998 Week 9 49ers @ Packers.
I loved and hated the 94 jerseys loved the style but hated it bc it kept reminded me of what could've been 3peat if we didn't spot SF 21pts plus refs not calling the P.I. on Primetime

~John Madden genius
Madden is the greatest.
I never saw the 1981 Dallas games against Philadelphia or the 1982 regular season game between Dallas and Washington.
Dominance... Boys strike again and never look back!
First Irvin, now Harper burns em again! 24:28
The 3 best teams in the 90s
RIP John Madden 🏴☠️
Hey, bud!
If Barry Switzer could go back in time and challenge that catch by Irvin
Should of never let alvin harper walk no matter what. He was more important than most people think...
They won another sb without him & jay novacek retirement was the downfall of the cowboys offense. In 94 instead of drafting DE Shante Carver they should've drafted WR isaac bruce he was still on the board
There are football players, and then there are Dallas Cowboys !!!!!!
Barry Switzer never really coached these teams. He lived off the work ethic that Jimmy Johnson instilled into his players, but by 1997 it had completely worn off.
Favre's smile in the thumbnail is creepy lol
Wished Sterling Sharpe had played this game.. would've been much closer.
Uhhh I don't think so. Maybe a little closer but not that much more, some nobody named Jason Garrett carved em up in Thanksgiving, with Sterling Sharpe playing.
If he didn’t get hurt he would have been considered one of the best receivers to ever play
Do you by chance have the 95 NFC championship game between these two teams?
i do, it's always blocked on UA-cam, but i have it on another site: www.bitchute.com/video/T2DIGVbSYXe4/
Green Bay never got over the Dallas hump
Texas Stadium was one of two kryptonites for Brett Favre. The other one was Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Even in 1996 when they won the SB, they still lost to Dallas in the reg season 6-21. They never were able to beat Dallas in the playoffs.

One of the many times the Cowboys ended Green Bay’s season..
What the fuck is Ron Pitts wearing
What stopped dallas was the 21 point off turnovers on the 1st quarter. Dallas lost 38-28. Take away the 21 turnover points dallas wins. Should would coulda. Ultimately Switzer and Jerry ruined what could have been the best team for a long time
Turnovers were also why the Patriots didn't three peat either. Turnovers could also be a major factor to the Chiefs as well.
Jerry Jones and Barry Switzer turned the ball over damn..
I swore Aikman threw a pick 6, and Irvin/Kevin Williams fumbled.
My memory must be failing me.
Wtf happened to the cowboys man that stadium was rocking!! Know u barley hear the fans the team that’s out there know is just mediocre 30 yrs of mediocrity will do that I’m a cowboys fan I know!!!
who else is here after the cowboys just lost to the 49ers and Dak threw two INT ???
The 49ers also spoiled the Cowboys three peat attempt to boot.
And yet my niners won the super bowl that year
At least you guys spoiled the Cowboys from a three peat.
