The Packers had some very tough years until this kid from Mississippi came here. Then as the pieces came together it became a incredibly wonderful moment to see us win the Super Bowl again. It was the first title I ever saw ANY professional Wisconsin team win. I was born in 67. But I was obviously too young for the Packers Super Bowl I & II wins, or the Bucks🏆win.🏆The Brewers ALMOST made it in 82. My Dad passed away the year prior to the Super Bowl win. My Mom passed 2 years before in 94. We LOVED watching Favre play. My Mom would scream at the 📺TV📺 and at the referees. I remember the last 3 years she was in and out of the hospital, I'd be on the phone with her, or in the room, and she'd yell even while she was in the Hospital. The nurses would come in and say you have to shush. Shh! Five minutes later she'd be yelling again. Get that guy, go go go go! I have so many memories of those days. Many sad and extremely difficult times, but also some absolutely incredible and wonderful times as well. I hold those memories with me every day. She thought Favre was a big kid. I miss her more even now. Thanks for sharing these classic games. I love the Packers and all the amazingly special memories they've brought myself and my parents. I even watch the losses although those are a tad more difficult to "like"...lol. Again THANK YOU for sharing these amazing games from the past with us. Reliving these days is fun and brings back so many memories. I wish there were more 70's Packers games. Back when I was a kid. Born in 67 I used to watch the NFL Today with Brent Musberger, Jayne Kennedy, Irv Cross, and Jimmy the Greek. Plus the 70's was the BEST for Monday Night Football! I used to beg, plead, and cry for my Mom & Dad to let me stay up and watch the Half-Time Highlights. It was the only way I got to see every team play. Plus I loved the Helmets and logos. I used to collect the plastic NFL Helmets from the quarter machines. With the logo stickers and stripes, and the plastic face bar/guard. Oddly my favorite helmet was the Giants from 75? Or 77? It was the double NY. The disco logo? I had one of those but I for the life of me had no clue where I got it. I'm guessing one of my trips to the Packers Hall of Fame. My Grandparents took me EVERY year to see it. Either way it was awesome, and oddly enough, every time the Giants played I watched that year. Well the Giants games that were actually televised in Milwaukee. More childhood memories, back then we only had the big three networks. WISN Channel-12, WITI Channel-6, and WTMJ Channel-4. Also PBS had channels 10 & 36, and we also had WVTV Channel-18, a local unaffiliated station. Later we also got WCGV Channel-24, another unaffiliated local station. That was the main reason why I loved the Half-Time Highlights. I loved to watch football! The Packers were first, but I also liked the Chargers, the Redskins, the Bills, the Seahawks, and the Falcons. Hey I was a kid. I liked teams for GOOFY reasons. The Falcons because I liked the comic book heroes Captain America and the Falcon. See, GOOFY! But I also like certain players too. Kenny Anderson from the Bengals. John Riggins from the Redskins, Roger Starbauch from Dallas(ugh!), and even a bigger no no taboo was a Packers fan liking the Vikings. However I used to love to watch Fran Tarkenton scramble like crazy before throwing to Sammy White or Running Back Chuck Foreman. Or seeing Foreman plow through the line for a huge run. The Packers really never had that big time running back. Eddie Lee Ivery was amazing, but was hurt constantly.
Now I still love my Packers but I honestly think we have the most ignorant front office in the NFL. As for hating our rivals, I don't. I actually have some major respect for some of their players. Walter Payton was, no he is the most amazing, incredibly talented, untackleable, most elusive, and iconic running back to EVER play in the NFL. With Barry Sanders a VERY VERY CLOSE 2ND! And Emmitt Smith 3rd. Chuck Foreman is also due some major props. 60's & 70's players in general DESERVE HUGE PROPS! They played when football was pure power and brutality. When players got clotheslined, and quarterbacks got pounded and beat up. Getting to watch these classic retro games I've been able to see Fran Tarkenton play for the Giants. I mean talk about a incredibly iconic possibility, seeing Joe Namath and the N.Y.Jets play Fran Tarkenton and the N.Y.Giants! Your dedication and enthusiasm for football has made it possible for us to see games we NEVER thought were possible!
YOU DESERVE HUGE PROPS AND MAJOR RESPECT AS WELL SIR. 🙏
I🙏hope🙏and🙏pray🙏that kids nowadays will WATCH the games shared from the 70's(especially the 70's), the 80's, and later the 90's. So they can see and learn about the players who paved the way, played harder and a far more brutal and violent game than today. And have some respect for these "old" people who are ICONS not dinosaurs. God Bless you sir! Take care!

Lombardy was a high school football fan. In 1969 when he was coaching the Redskins . He would come to TC Williams Titans football games. My dad and I were at game and my dad nudged me and pointed. And there was Lombardy coming up the bleacher. He sat next to me and we introduced ourselves. The whole game we talked football and after the game he took dad and I for ice-cream. That was a evening I can never forget.

The giants were absolute garbage in ‘95 and ‘96. It’s a testament to how good their defense was that they won 11 games over those two years with arguably one of the worst offenses in franchise history

Ugly game. I couldn't remember how this game went. Back when it was happening it seemed like the Packers were just rolling everyone with Favre throwing the ball all over the place. Not so much in this one. Just goes to show things aren't always the way we remember them.

I was at this game with my late wife. I can tell you the worst part of this game was the Pointer Sisters’ rendition of the National Anthem.
We parked at an old friend’s house (lived on Raleigh Street a few blocks from the stadium).
The jet flyby was unexpected and awesome (it wasn’t a regular event back then).
The Packers won a low scoring game.
I’d relive this day if it were possible.
