Omg, 🤯😳😳😳😳. 12 years ago. I had a Khmer friend. It was late and I remembered he gave me some of this with rice. He said he didn't know what It's called but his grandmother made it with pork floss. Omg, it was so good with rice. Now I know.
Thank you so much Hannah! Yes, pork floss is usually eaten as a snack on its own or used as a topping. It’s almost like jerky that’s been shredded into fluff. It’s yummy. Thank you for watching and have a nice weekend!
I totally agree, Hannah -- That's exactly what I wanted to say😁 Watching Thun, taught me a whole new world of flavors---ie) fish sauce., shrimp paste, and Hot peppers!
Another beautiful video. Sitting here trying to think what would be a good vegetarian substitute for pork floss. I think even without the port flushed it would be really good.❤ The music is great again😄
One of my favourite menu while being in childhood 😊 the next door grandma shared it to me and I am always looking for this recipe for remembrance to her ยายฝูบ้านพันลำ I know only it must be involved Lao culture because we are Puan Thai #ไทยพวน and living along the Mekong river 😊
I am ashamed of myself as I'm Asian and born in Laos and lived there the first five years of my life but I do not know how to make Jeow bong. I recently made jeow maklen but have yet to try jeow bong. I love the smokey spicy goodness
To be sure, this is 'exotic'... To me , at least-- but I can honestly say, my mouth is watering.,... I cant wait to try it and see how all the flavors come together👍👍
You're the best! Loving all your recipes! I've yet to try most of them, but the Cambodian beef skewer recipe was delightful! Thank you for sharing your techniques!❤
Love the simplicity of your ingredients and instructions. Been wondering how to make it. I will definitely give it a try. First, must head out to get the items. Thank you..!
Love your videos! Everything that you make looks so delicious and I am definitely going to make this jeaw bong tonight. I love the Issan music at the end of the video aa well❤ thank you for sharing the recipe.
Thanks for sharing. Jeow bong and soop nor mai are two dishes I look forward to eating during Lao New Year. Your recipe looks much easier than my mom's recipe.
Yes there are many variations of jaew bong. This is definitely an easier one. I plan to do the other variations as well in the future. Thank you for watching.
Jaew Bong stores well in the freezer too. Have a great day everyone!
Question, would it be nice if I omit the pork floss and substitute that with fish floss? Thanks!

What a beautiful cultural experience ! Thank you.
I love eating this with veggies. My mom would scold me bc I don't eat it with rice and my belly ends up hurting but still worth it!
I like it with veggies and also with meat too. It does get too spicy without the rice though 😁
