Discovered this aircraft after getting MSFS 2020. It's been my favorite aircraft to fly around in. I'm in the process of doing an "around the world" flight with it by flying along the coast of the world.
This was kind-of an ‘ouch’ comment obviously implying that this video was NOT clean, clear and informative. Although i did enjoy this video I agree and good way to phrase it.
Hi Blair.True airspeed is speed of the aircraft moving through the air(corrected for non standard atmospheric conditions, position errors and air density) , and indicated airspeed is what is read directly from the airspeed indicator.Your ground speed is calculated between the wind direction and velocity and true airspeed.A head wind is subtracted from true airspeed and a tailwind is added to true airspeed, for example. The modern glass instrument panel shown in the video can display ground speed on one of the screens. It's using information from the GPS receiver and the pitot tube on the wing. The computer calculates it automatically. On a calm day, ground speed and true airspeed are the same. For a more detailed explanation on the subject here's a helpful link www.experimentalaircraft.info/flight-planning/aircraft-navigation-speed.php. I hope this helps!
Haha thank you! For this flight we cruised at 12,000 feet and our pilot did use supplemental oxygen for about 30 minutes. FAA rules state though that oxygen is required for pilots after more than 30 minutes at 12,500 ft or any time at 14,000 ft or above. It is required for passengers at 15,000 feet and above. - Sharon
Hey Randy, great question! Jet-A (diesel) is actually more common to find at an airport than 100LL, especially outside the US. We have not run into any issues finding a suitable airport that supplies Jet-A.
@@LifeStyleAviation Jet A and Jet fuel are they the same and the little airport that i keep my plane does not have diesel.... Just wondering if there is problem with that..... I live in West Texas area.
@@randykoonce990 Yes, Jet-A and Jet Fuel are the same! If your airport has Jet-A you will be great, but if it doesn't there are other options for you. Feel free to give us a call and we can help you discuss at (406) 359-1669!
There are many small airports in the US that have avgas but not Jet-A; however, the success of aerodiesels plus the increasing popularity of single turboprops and light jets will likely cause more airports to make Jet-A available in the future.
400 series Cessnas are pressurized, cabin class and turbocharged. Not made anymore so you're looking at older airframes, engines, avionics & technology. Not a good comparison. Better comparison is the new Baron G58. Goes for similar price ($1.35 million) unpressurized and normally aspirated. Similar avionics with Garmin, seats six. Believe Diamond 62 is actually outselling the Baron. Wish I had better info on maintenance of the Diamond as that's a huge component of twin ownership.
@Conan who on earth is going to 1.2-1.5m that for a plane that doesn't even break 190kts...……. I'm sorry you can get a low to mid time full glass c90 for 900-1.1m and still have money left for fuel.

Please, be sure to share your adventure on the proposed trip. Do you have a YT channel?
@@ladiaduro1379 I do, I'm just horrible about streaming or uploading flight videos.
@@RickHowell89 Oh, wow! 😩😩😩. Still, it'd be lovely to have a visual feel of your proposed adventure.😎
Keep up the great work guys. Can’t wait to eventually get one.
What a beauty of an aircraft
manufacturing defect its equally difficult to manage in emergencies.
Very cool. I hope as an A&P I’ll get to see many of these things flying around
I would love to see Kevin and Jamie (310 pilot) flying around in a DA62! Their videos are clean, clear, informative and real.

Love, love, love this video 😍😍😍 We had so much fun with you guys!
We loved spending the week with you! We can't wait until next year! 😍😍
I need to buy one
What’s the difference between true airspeed and indicated air speed and which one is your actual speed across the ground?

1:00 anyone else notice that skinny center seat? Really having to dig hard to find anything bad about this plane though. Can you really fit 3 across?

No, not even 2 adults and a child. Maybe 3 small kids.
Wow she's gorgeous........er um the plane....that's what I'm talking about! Question at what altitude would you guys have to put oxygen on?

Thank you very much thank you so much!!!
The music destroyed the video for me
There are countless youtube videos where the 'music' (noise) makes a great video a pain in the A$$ !
I used to ferry lots of the da 40s from the factory back in the day. Love the product. But this music......
Thumbs down.
2:34 Lift Academy!!
In calculating you mpg in the DA 62 versus an SUV, you forgot to mention the difference between flying 'straight' versus 'not straight' roads. ;-)
Anyone have the Powerball numbers (time travelers) so I can buy one of these?

Performing an annual on one right now, 👌
What kind of high performance twin could you get for the same money spent on the 62?

There are a bunch of 25-30+ year old twin planes with antiquated technology still available.
