This was very helpful. Although, I couldn't help but wonder if these steps were all done in the right order. For example, shouldn't polarity and alignment be done before anything else? I suppose it's the apps fault for not listing the stages in a logical order.
In the app, in the explanation for the EQ-Recommendation-tool it says, that you should use the level meter and the alignment first. Don't know about the polarity, but I'd assume that using the tools in the order they are listed in the app (which they did in the video) should be fine
wouldn't your phone need to have a calibrated mic? if the frequency response of the phones mic isn't totally flat, wouldn't that skew the results? am I missing something?
My KRK's are high up. How do I calibrate the tilt, to make up for this? Tweeter should be ear level but my tweeters are above my head, entirely. Is there a workaround? Thanks.
Some people flip their speakers upside down to help their ears be in the sweet-spot, also to stop the woofer from being central (height-wise) in the room. You could try this, or alternatively you can get a tilting monitor stand, or wedge-shaped foam to help angle your speakers down.
Great video mate, I have a question though. What if you have one of the speakers against a corner in your bedroom, shouldn't you have different EQ presets for L and R speakers in this case? I don't see any one addressing this... Cheers!
