Good thing I found this. Still need to optimise my monitors. I do have a few questions. So I should get a 3.5m jack - 2x 6.3mm adapter, plug both (XLR - 6.3mm jack) cables into that. Plug the 3.5mm into the phone and it should work? Or do I need to get a single 3.5mm - 6.3mm adapter and do them one at a time? Can I hook it up through my audio interface or does the phone have to be plugged directly into the monitors? Thanks in advance!
You probably dont give a damn but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Ezra Garrett thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Probably a stupid question. It’s about the levels meter tool. When you get the reading of both your speakers. I know you have to adjust them with the volume knobs, but do you turn them up to the highest DBs you got from your readings or do you keep adjusting the volume until they read the same DBs?
Watched this and another and I still don't know what cable to use. what a load of faff, I'm sending these back for the Yams. WTF !!! wish my 6's hadn't packed up
Thats true no one explains it correctly, It took me a while to figure out. You need cable "3.5mm to XLR/TRS stereo" if you have iPhone/android with no headphone Jack then you need lighting cable to 3.5mm female port and for android you need USB c to 3.5mm female to plug 3.5mm to xlr/trs cable.
HOw TF can a system be calibrated with a phone, or even a tablet mic ! I really wonder ! In other systems they use calibration microphones, or they have the freq resp of the mic... I actually plan to acquire these, so not saying just to be hating on the product, i genuinely wonder how that can be, and how good it works. The frequency response of the mic is quite a thing when it comes to calibration.
Bro, that's exactly what I was thinking! I also wonder if KRK is simply using this as a marketing trick. Also, I highly doubt, that they have all the phone mic profiles and even if they did phone mics are not fucking Neuman, where they manually test the frequency response of each mic. I smell some major BS right there. Wonder if you could hook up a flat mic to your phone though.
@@dmitrib3937 It can be useful to set the volume or the angles, at least... But for room compensation EQ i think i will go for the sonarworks "reference".
Hello, how are you? can i just use a monitor box to play my connected songs on my phone or do i really need a couple of boxes to get faithful music playback?
Except that all the readings are sewed by the response curve of whichever phone your using, making this worthless. There is no "according to your taste" in the setup for mixing and mastering, you need a flat response in your listening space. You need to use a calibrated reference microphone with your phone for this to have any chance of working.
KRK should offer an optional mic for these. The mic should be calibrated for the app or vice versa so that the limitations/deviations from accuracy are compensated for to make it get accurate results.
for an audio tutorial. Ur aaudio is horrible. Way over compress! I am listening in krk 10.5 sub and krk 8 and i have to lower the volume more than half to listen to you with no distortion

Did anyone figure out what cables are needed and how to connect them???
Good app, good video. I'm guessing there's nothing to stop people with any brand of studio monitor using this app for free???

Can you link where you got the cable to connect the iPhone to the krks
Great Question! That's pretty neat!
wouldn't it be different from phone to phone as phone mics are not that great.
That is my concern as well. This seems very unreliable.
Same concern as well!!!
Hi. How do you correct things if the result in the Spectrum tool gives an absolutely non-flat result?
alignment tool not working
Did you manage to resolve this?
what is the connection cable called?
We're just using a standard mini stereo jack to 2x large jacks in each speaker.

How I connect my phone all this?
It just connects via the headphone jack - you just need the cable we specified in the video
Just an audio cable is all you need.

This is just a marketing tool KRK which has no real use whatsoever
Doest work
Still no answer? I'm wondering ....It seems, the main thing is to make a clever video. Nothing more ...
