    Just got one of this. It's a pricesion Tig welder. Clean weld.
    Weld through but not burn a hole on sheet metal and stainless steel. Much easier than normal Tig welder and Mig welder.

    • @hxhdfjifzirstc894
      @hxhdfjifzirstc894 Рік тому

      Try turning up the 'Welding Current' and the 'Welding Time', so that more heat is put into the weld during the blast. This should melt a larger amount of metal. If that's not enough, you might have to switch to the larger torch and manually do a TIG DC tack weld for a second or two.

    Don't buy Andeli, unless you are willing to loose your money. Mine arrived two and a half months ago faulty. I still cannot get replacement, neither my money or spare parts. £700 just thrown away. Have bought it at AliExp. AliExp is not much help either. For £1300 I could buy a proper TIG with same range of functions locally here in the UK, supporting local industry too. Think twice before buying. In the end i just wasted £700 and still will have to pay for new machine with proper warranty and support. Do not make my mistakes!!!

    I noticed there are kits that included two different tig torches with this machine... a 9F torch and a blue one (QQ-150). Is there a reason why I would need both torches? What is the difference between the two torches? Do they use the same consumables?

    • @hxhdfjifzirstc894
      @hxhdfjifzirstc894 Рік тому +1

      I think the smaller size 9 torch is intended for cold welding and the larger size 17 is intended for TIG welding (larger torches can handle more amps before melting).
      As far as interchangeable parts, the included tungsten electrodes will fit in both torches, but the collets for each torch are not interchangeable, nor are the gas cups, because those are specific sizes depending on what torch you have.

    • @phiksit
      @phiksit 3 роки тому

      Yeah, mine came with a 14 gauge two prong euro style plug, no ground. I was able to fit a 12 gauge three conductor cord through the strain relief after drilling out the strain relief nut a little. You'll need some push on spade connector to attach the two hots to the power switch. I connected the cord's ground wire to the nearest screw on the internal frame of unit and then took a countersink to clean some of the paint from underneath the surrounding chassis screws. I'm just using a regular 120v three prong cord for the time being and a WELL LABELED (220v! for welder only) 120v outlet on a 25amp 2-pole breaker with 10 gauge wire ran to it. A 12 gauge three conductor cord running two hots is supposed to be able to handle up to 25 amps.. I have some 30 amp three prong twist lock plugs I plan to install later.

    • @petedude2lu3

      the spot weld time is computer controlled. you could wire a timer in series with your tig finger trigger to avoid replacing your current machine.

    • @Phoenix-One0922
      @Phoenix-One0922 2 роки тому

      No such thing as 'cold" welding. Welding is welding, Period. Spot welding in ANY of its forms can be called 'cold' (at milliseconds) or spot at a single burst. done in One Single weld. Cold welding is just a spot weld done with a timer that bursts "tiny spot welds" one after another or manually by pressing the finger trigger switch as needed by the operator. "cold welding" is bullshit because it doesn't exist. Good for jewelry repairs, tacking parts for regular welding and welding small non structural parts that eventually will break if put under stress. If anyone wants to use a cold welding and expects the weld to last, better use filler rod every time. Real long lasting quality welding can not be done by bursting a Tig torch with milliseconds intervals just to make it look "pretty", it requires skill, dedication and years of training by welding a REAL BEAD continuously which requires KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL. Anyone out there with no welding skill thinking that buying a "cold welder" will do anything for them after spending $400 to over a $1,000 better get ready to be disappointed.

    • @descargaelbano
      @descargaelbano 2 роки тому +2

      Yes, with a regular TIG welder you have to bring up the current and wait for the metal to melt, with the cold weather it has a large capacitor inside of it that stores up a massive charge and gives an instant jolt of energy which melts the metal instantly. It is totally different than a TIG on pulse, or turning up the amps on a TIG and trying to melt the metal quickly. The difference is like trying to drill a hole through a piece of metal, or shoot a hole through it with a bullet.

      @@descargaelbano Thanks for the excellent description of the poorly translated term 'cold welding'. It is different, and extremely useful for certain situations. For example, when you do not want to heat the part except for the specific area being welded (perhaps plastic is attached to the part and will melt if you try to weld traditionally). There are many situations in which 'cold welding' is preferred or even necessary.

      Аппарат андели, атом, шанда можно купить через интернет. Тиг апарат этой фирмы лучше всего искать на сайте андели. Алиэкспресс в этом случае продаёт с накруткой. Технология ХОЛОДНОЙ СВАРКИ ИМЕЕТ РАЗЛИЧНЫЕ НАЗВАНИЯ. Тиг спот , холлд тиг иногда называется конденсаторная высокочастотная сварка. Приемлемо рассматривать аппараты от 80 А если что то меньше то это трата денег на ветер. Без аргона этот вид сварки безполезен на нержавейке латуни углеродистой и высоколегированной стали. Чёрные металлы будут держаться на шлпке. Углекислый газ будет приемлем только на чернухе. Поэтому при прочих равных условиях суеты и трат экономия будет ничтожная а возможности сильно урезаны. Без редуктора для аргона и вольфрамовых электродов сварить гвоздём 2 гвоздя неполучится без защитного газа.

      Or we can use normal low current DC-pulse, low current-high current in pulse.
      This spot mode give an extra 100-200 euro on the device, but also such devices are digital (could be a bonus which would be good to have for fixing parts).

      Just use an auto-darkening mask, to make sure you don't hurt your eyes. The cold welding is a very short blast of light, but you don't want to gamble. In most of these videos you can see the person moving a finger up, to block the light, as they hit the switch. It took me a while to figure out what they were doing. Some close their eyes, also.
      As far as cold welding without gloves, I think that's fine. There's very little risk of 'sunburn', because the welding time is so short (just a fraction of a second). But it's simply not worth risking damage to your eyes, especially when an auto-darkening welding helmet only costs $45. I recommend auto-darkening, because you won't be able to position the torch if you use a fixed shade (imagine lifting up your helmet for every single cold weld). Plus, you're going to need a helmet for the TIG function of the machine, anyway. Just buy one.

      TIG-250MPL is based on MOS tube, TIG-250GPL is based on IGBT tube.
      In function,TIG-250GPL has built-in multiple sets of parameters, which can be directly used according to welding materials. TIG-250MPL has more adjustment options and has a higher custom range, but the use will be more complicated.

  • @raulduke85

    Actually I don't know why everyone nowdays is talking about cold welding and thinks this is a new feature.
    This is just repeatedly tack welding in 2 stroke mode and it has been possible to do it with any tig welding machine in the last 30 years or so.
    Actually I have to say that this way of welding is slow, tends to damage the high frequency of the welding machine and creates stress between each tack of welding, since you heat and cold back the base material instantly; it's defenetly better to control the current and manually pulse with a foot pedal, or set a proper pulse setting on the machine, using a background current: theese ways you'll work faster and better.
    I can't see any reason, with nowdays technology, to step back to the end of the 80's.

    • @andeli1829
      @andeli1829  4 роки тому +1

      Our cold welding machine is mainly designed for welding thin sheet materials.
      The cold welding machine achieves the same color by controlling the welding time without causing damage to high frequencies.

    • @raulduke85
      @raulduke85 4 роки тому

      @@andeli1829 i mean the high frequency start of the welding machine, not random "high frequencies" of i don't know what.
      When you start and stop the welding at least twice per second for 8/10 hours per day, you are going to damage soon the high frequency module of your welding machine, because in a very short period of time it's like you used the high frequency start module for years of normal tig welding procedures.
      This happened and still happens with very known and top brands such as miller, fronius, etc (if used this way) and I highly doubt that if fronius has this kind of problem, andeli solved it.
      Then the other weak points of the weld still, such as stresses between tacks.

    • @DmitrySukhoverkov
      @DmitrySukhoverkov 4 роки тому +1

      @@raulduke85 So the question is. What to do if I have to weld 0,4mm sainles steel? Can I manage it by welding with any tig welder? It is essential for me as a newbe on the way of choosing appropriate device.
      P.S.Laser welder is very expensive for me.

    • @raulduke85
      @raulduke85 4 роки тому +2

      @@DmitrySukhoverkov yea, with a good tig welder you can do it, but if you are a newbie, go for the method in this video: just manually and repeatedly tack weld your 2 pieces; because welding 4/10 mm defenetly requires that you have a good hand and it's not something that a newbie can do successfully at his first/second try.
      In so thin material it's pretty much useless to tell you how to set up the machine, cause it depends on the travel speed you have (wich should be pretty fast), on the fact that you are using, or not a filler rod; it also depends on your welding machine; on how many pps (pulse per second) you like to use.
      1 tip is, regardless the method you choose, if you weld sheet metal, put it on a copper/aluminum chunk/sheet metal piece to help not overheating your piece.
      If you are welding a pipe, you defenetly should use argon to gas the pipe inside, to prevent sugaring and to control penetration at best.
      My suggestion is to practice on some scrap metal pieces before you go for the weld: keep in mind that you should be able to understand when you are going to overheat and stop, set a post gas and stay on the end of the weld the time necessary to avoid oxidation, then you let the part cool and you restart welding.
      If you can't weld it, just try out the method in this video; it's not the best job you can do, but at least you'd be able to get the job done✌🏻.
      As I can see from you name, you should be european/russian: so about the proper device i suggest you to buy even a good used tig welder, in europe (especially east europe, since a lot of metal working is done in those countries, such as czech republic/poland/romania and russia) it should be easy to find a good used fronius dc tig welder on the range of 1000/1300 euros, wich is one of the best machines to get theese kind of job done; but if you have to do it as a diy I don't know if it worth the investement.

    • @DmitrySukhoverkov
      @DmitrySukhoverkov 4 роки тому

      @@raulduke85 Thank you for such a detailed answer. The method is clear to me. Tacking or a quick press of the button provides an instant start and fast finish. I will pick up the settings in practice. I'm from Russia. Fronius is super, but even used one is a rarity here. So I will look for a similar good quality device.

      If you don't use argon, the weld will be oxidized and dirty. IMO it depends on your purposes of the weld, whether an oxidized weld is good enough for you.
      I think what you are asking is whether cold welding is different and perhaps argon isn't required for this kind of welding. No, it's still melting two pieces of metal together and proper shield gas (in this case argon) should be used if you need to prevent oxidation.
