I'm not 100% sure about that the trans will mount up to the shock location and mounts plus the driveshaft isn't pulled out by 1-1/4 inch hell it's in the stock location
All rwd chrysler engines and transmissions besides diesels have used the same bellhousing since the 50s and 60s so yes it bolted up like factory plus that's a 545fre which were behind the 5.7 4.7 and 3.7 in rams jeeps dakotas and durango's from 2000-2010
@@gearhead4266 did you stay with the original trans, (transfer case), and axels? I have a 2000 that I want to use a donor for a 47 dodge pickup. It has the same 3.9 engine. Many thanks for your insight.
@mark Hendrickson I kept the axle which I will soon swap to a 9.25 the trans was shaped to the 545fre which is behind every vehicle dodge made with a 4.7 and 5.7 in a truck the 3.9 uses a 42re its very weak and only a 4 speed plus the ecu will not work with it
@@gearhead4266 That is what I was expecting, hemi engine, T56 trans and new axel. Maybe a transfer case and front axle if I stay with 4 wheel drive (not imperative). That is my next decision, 2 or 4 wheel drive. Thanks for your insight. Mark
@mark Hendrickson if you want to go fast 2wd if you want 4wd then I would start with a 4.7 4x4 manual truck and swap the hemi in and leave the rest alone it will hold
Hard work but it going to be worth it keep it up
From what I heard in a video from Summit, the mounts shift the Hemi forward about 1-1/4" to clear the firewall better in the rear of the motor.

Oh and the fire wall to engine clearance is the same as the 4.7 with the 545rfe
Badass work bud!
Please please please tell me you have this puppy on the road, just tuned into your stuff and I dig what all ya got goin on!
Oh yah its running about todo some colling upgrades and trying to figure out the cruise control
So how can i identify my transmission i have 01 durango 4x4 4.7 SLT
Did the transmission bolt right up or did you need a adapter plate?
