It depends on the product. With our fence you only need it in your gate post. Our 8’ sections come with metal inserts in the bottom rail. 120mph wind rating. If you live in west palm FL then you need a hurricane certificate requiring 6x6 panels, metal in top and bottom rails and metal inserts in all post.
hats off to your eyes, very straight. Almost a second nature for you to get it accurate. The owner doesn't like the wood fence? they are kind back to back(vinyl and wood)
Why not installing the bottom rail, and make sure all the post are leveled if the bottom rail is level. Very simple method, then you come back next day and install TNGs ( panels) and top rail. And bang!! In 1 day 80 to 100 linear feet I can install
VinylWholesale Awesome excited to see it! I'm 19 and ready to get after it in vinyl installation and setting posts on uneven grade while having the fence still look good is the only thing that confuses me thanks again. Best installation vids on youtube hands down keep em coming!
Set your posts first while putting in the bottom rail. Mark centers exact or an inch less if you can spare material. String across the top while cement is still wet. Next day, or after concrete sets up some, put fence together. If not exact, you may have to trim off an inch or so from the last board with a portable table saw. Then put in top rail. If the grade is a very steep incline/decline, you can cut out the first support strip inside the top rail. This allows the boards to go in more and rack easier.
Thanks for the knowledge Roy that simplifies it perfectly! It seems simple to install it Ive just been over thinking it and making it more complex than it has to be. Thats an awesome technique with the bottom rail so you never go over your post spacing. Thanks again man
***** Thanks Roy for being so detailed I installed a 60ft line a few weeks back with a group of guys and they would build the section as they went. It was a pain in the ass that way. It wasnt going smooth to say the least.Your technique eliminates all the hassle and problems that I could run into I really can't thank you enough man! It may not seem like it but your knowlege has made a huge impact on the way my fences are going to be installed and how much faster it can be done and that changes my life
It is typical that the posts are placed 6 feet on center. Read/download the directions from the fences' website to be sure for the fence you are installing though.
What about when you have to install one panel at a time and can't just take down the entire existing fence and wait two days for concrete to cure in the new posts?
I have three questions. How well does a vinyl fence stand the elements? How well can i put a fence like this when all of my neighboors around me have wooden fences (that are connected with my wooden fence)? And also, how well can this take pee (my dog likes to pee on plastic stuff, dang mutt! lol)?
if you file for a permit (which you should) they will recommend the depth... Most likely 42 inches to be below the frost line.. At least that's for my area in Illinois, maybe it's different for you.. Also, the post itself should tell you how deep you need to go unless you plan to undercut and make them shorter.. (NOT RECOMMENDED!) Hope that helps
The water comes in from the rails and holes in the post. We have been using this method for 10 years or so and we have seen a huge decrease in post upheaval so I assure you it works. Another trick but more costly is to dig your hole 3' deep, fill the first 1.5' with concrete, line up your post, drive it to your desired height and Finnish setting. This method uses around 180lbs of concrete per post.
I would put it a lawn mower distance from neighbors fence... not to just mow... but to pressure wash the green that gets on these.... I know...you'll never see it
I have never before seen someone just set the "Vinyl Sleeve" as the main post, Where's the 4x4 or the 3" pipe? without those, the fence has no structural integrity...wthell..lol
With wholesale vinyl fencing you don’t need any inserts. It has a 120mph wind gust rating without it. We install it all the time in Idaho. It is not uncommon to get 40-50mph wind gust here and it doesn’t hurt the fence at all. It w is ad superior product. We have installed
Wholesale Vinyl Fencing LOL. I don't fight mentally challenged individuals who don't know the proper form of "you're." You should probably re-enroll in 4th grade instead of lining up fence posts with your eyes.
& the Ohio athletic commission would never license a jorts wearing dufus, who probably couldn't pass the physical, to step into the cage & get put in a Kimora.
Nathan Beasley oh snap, looks like Ron Weasley can give it but can't take it. Thanks for the show. Are you wearing a Home Depot Vest in your profile pic? Wait, even better. Superman. I love working for this company because we have an interesting business structure when it comes to online presence, we respect those that offer respect.
Wayne Boll A better way to do it is fill the post hole with concrete then put the post in the hole. The dirt method will work and help insulate the post and keep water out of the hole but concrete really does the trick, it is more expensive so dirt is a cheap fix. All they are doing is trying to keep water out of the post, yes water will be in the dirt but it will not expand and contract like pure water/ice.
That measuring and marking system. Was there a spray paint and string shortage that summer?

Holy shit!!! An actual UA-cam video that's good and not a bunch of bullshit talking!!!@
I'm pretty sure you're suppose to do one section at a time or else you have issues getting the rails in
We always use quick Crete and still recommend 2 days in between.
Did you county allow to put up fences which pass the front house?
If not over 6 feet tall you can in front in most counties.
Can I put metal post inside the vinyl post ? Or do I need to?
I think you do need then for posts that will have a gate hanging on them, but not the others
How can I attach the post on top of a concrete driveway
How long do these last for typically?
Why not installing the bottom rail, and make sure all the post are leveled if the bottom rail is level. Very simple method, then you come back next day and install TNGs ( panels) and top rail. And bang!!

Dude we rock like 400 500 feet out if we wanted
definitely saving this for my future fencing project. ^_^
do you still give two days to wood fences?
Boise, Idaho?
Pocatello
Can you guys make a how-to video for setting vinyl posts on uneven grade and it still looking straight and the same height? Thanks alot!
Yes that will be a fun video. They can be very tricky but it is possible.

Are the posts usually placed ever 6 feet apart?
It is typical that the posts are placed 6 feet on center. Read/download the directions from the fences' website to be sure for the fence you are installing though.

I would use quick set concrete if you are in a hurry...but still remember "measure twice, cut once" as in carpentry.
Bye setting all of the posts first, isn't it harder to install the rails afterwards?
@@Ocalaman Not at all, setting the posts first it’s actually the right way of doing it.
I have three questions. How well does a vinyl fence stand the elements? How well can i put a fence like this when all of my neighboors around me have wooden fences (that are connected with my wooden fence)? And also, how well can this take pee (my dog likes to pee on plastic stuff, dang mutt! lol)?
A better method is to fill the hole with concrete and insert the post into the concrete
How deep are you digging the holes
if you file for a permit (which you should) they will recommend the depth... Most likely 42 inches to be below the frost line.. At least that's for my area in Illinois, maybe it's different for you.. Actually the hole method, needs to be a 3-4" hole 6-12" up from the bottom. This allows concrete to enter and seal the bottom.

With our fence it's not needed. It has a 120mph wind rating without any inserts.
Lazer eye over here
The dirt inside the post great ideal n easier than using wood or metal post.
Why not add concrete from the bottom of the hole in the ground to the ground level? That way the vinyl post is secured from the outside and inside?
What does a little bit of loose dirt at the bottom of the hollow post do? I am not getting the point of it. TY
How much did it cost you guys to have Michael J. Fox hold the camera?
Nathan Beasley about as much as it's going to cost us to sponsor the Beasley vs Wholesale Fight. $0 because you're all mouth 🤷♂️
Wholesale Vinyl Fencing LOL. I don't fight mentally challenged individuals who don't know the proper form of "you're." You should probably re-enroll in 4th grade instead of lining up fence posts with your eyes.

Wholesale Vinyl Fencing LOL. Spoken like a true hillbilly.
And use at least a 4 foot level 😬
Why would you need to use a 4ft level? Use any level
He says fill the posts with concrete then he fills them with dirt. Is it just me?

Here is another clown in saying level your posts instead of saying plumb the posts.
